I haven't been to Alton Towers since May, and seeing you standing in front of that Nemesis sign with that music in the background honestly fills me with all the excitement of being there. 😂 That park has more atmosphere than any other in the UK.
I did 75 rides on the bullet when it was at flamingo land in 1996 on my 16th birthday Shawn , incidentally my birthday is roller coaster day! I have to say the fact you achieved this feat in such dreadful conditions and managed to meet up with jw is awesome 😎 I may not be able to get to the parks you visit, but seeing you go to them and sharing your experiences is amazing. It won’t be long before you’re the number 1 theme park channel on you tube, you totally deserve it mate.
Seeing John on saturday felt so acheiving as he really is my idol and his book (which i'm on chapter 8 at the moment) is amazing and seeing him in this vlog is just so elevating, thanks Shawn, watched you since 2013 and my you've grown in popularity!

I went to PortAventura Monday week, wow. It was amazing. Lot’s of entertainment, quite busy, but stampede was running amazing, shambala feels amazing, all the water rides great, amazing.
Massive respect for sticking it out in the brilliant British weather! 63 is an impressive count! With it being walk on most of the day don't see how you could better that?!
@@charlsasmrp3580 that's still more than me! I did get 4 in a row at Scarefest after dark but it would have been way more if they allowed rerides. Had to keep running around and that central square with the steps is lethal in the dark. Nearly tripped and broke my neck lmao

I was with a group of 48 on a roadtrip to efteling, toverland and walibi. We did 9 coasters and one hour of ert on untamed after park closing. I had the best roller coaster day ever. Keep up with the channel i love your vlogs.
For God's sake I went today. Oh well. I didn't ride on nemesis we just didn't get to that end of the park. We did the dungeons loved it. Went on spin ball wizzer twice, rita, thirteen, runaway minetrain, kongo river rapids and wicker man. Loved them. We just didn't have enough time and because we live so far away we wanted to get on the road at 6:30 so oh well. Loved it. First time since I was like 7 to go.
I remember when Nemesis first opened and went with mates. We managed to ride 5 times on the trot and it nearly finished me. Congratulations on riding it 63 times!!
I love when parks keep the details for their old rides. 25 years and still has the audio going and the theming looking great. I rode nemesis for the first time in June after 25 years of wanting to and it was amazing.
I rode it first and only time in 1997 and have so wanted to go back and ride it again!!! I don't know who was more star struck you or John???? xxxx Wow that is so nice of them to do that for you hope it is something awesome!! xxxxx
1997 was also the first year I rode Nemesis, well it was the first year I was able to ride nemesis because I was still just a little kid. It was such a great memory I'll never forget!

Well done on your commitment Shawn, you sure landed a winner of a day, sometimes you struggle to get on 5 rides all day 😂 It takes me back to a really mild day at sea world Orlando where there was virtually nobody in the park, and the ride operator of Kraken sent us around 5 times non stop.. I wouldn’t do it again though.. had a banging head all day 😂 (37 consecutive rides on nemesis is insane)

so there are alot of rollercoaster designers worldwide and yet john wardley is still my favourite. so inspirational and seems to be very kind. yes Alan Shilkey (dont know if its spelt right) has built some amazing rides, but there all similar, however johns rides are all one of a kind
What a great video! I could ride her all day if I had the chance. I rode her again today for the first time in 16 years but she's running as smooth as she did when I first rode her in 1994! I have a bit of an emotional connection to Nemesis as she was the first roller coaster I ever rode! So many happy memories and the history and overall ride experience is very special! I hope she continues to thrill everyone for a long time! Bumped into Alex right at the end of the day for nemesis' final run!
my first was the smiler. I was terrified of getting in the line and I was scared the whole time we were waiting. i cam off the ride and wanted to go on it again
In 1992 when I was 12 years old I rode montazumas revenge at Knott's Berry farm 15 times in a row. It was a big coaster in those days and it's amazing to see how far we've come for coasters. Also not a coaster but I marathoned the octopus as a kid some 20 times in a row without leaving the ride and about an hour later got very sick. Only time any ride has ever made me lose my lunch. Anyway Shawn thanks for all the great videos. Big fan of the channel from Portland Oregon
Congrats Shawn on 62 rides on Nemesis in just 1 day. That’s a massive achievement in my opinion because even though it’s 25 years old and still going incredibly strong it’s extremely popular with normally long queues. I went to Alton Towers the once (one of many many times) and manage to ride Nemesis and got 6 rides on it in 30 minutes with a walk on queue. And my head was hurting with a massive headache so i had to stop then. But even then the ride was still walk-on. But i have to fully admit it’s a fantastic ride built by a brilliant ride manufacturer B&M, and also looks great again with a recent full refurbishment. She is definitely a beauty to look at and ride.
Great work, Shaun. Legendary stuff. I can't wait to ride Nemesis again, it's nearly 10 years since my one and only visit to Alton Towers so trying to plan my return as we speak. Hopefully soon.

Well done! You truly are a Alton towers legend! Iv actually done the same challenge but on the smiler me and cousin Vaughan went on 15 times in 4hrs one after the other no breaks, by that point though we was feeling it as it’s not as smooth as when it first opened. I really appreciate your videos I’ve learnt a lot about Alton towers since watching you. Can’t wait for scarefest this year with the Terror of the towers coming back! I participated, I rode El Toro in Plohn (Germany) 28 times in a row. GCI power! Of course not as much as you did, but I also wanted to do other rides as well. I needed 2 hours for the 28 rides on El toro because I didn't need to step off. It's still one of my favorite woodies coasters out there. Congrats on the Nemesis challenge.

Only 9 rides on nemesis unfortunately but we done all the big coasters first and only arrived at 2pm

A M to be fair. I think this is the only British ride that competes with the big international coasters. I’ve never seen a better looking coaster.
Stegosaurus saw and the big one, also a few of the rides at paulton’s park. Oblivion is also great
One roller coaster that is really good is Rockin Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith. Reccomend you go on!

I once in 2016 did a Kumba Marathon at Busch Gardens Tampa. I got 57, so pretty good!
Kumba is my favorite roller coaster, but 57 times sounds like a headache

Iv actually done the same challenge but on the smiler me and cousin Vaughan went on 15 times in 4hrs one after the other no breaks, by that point though we was feeling it as it’s not as smooth as when it first opened. I really appreciate your videos I’ve learnt a lot about Alton towers since watching you. Can’t wait for scarefest this year with the Terror of the towers coming back! Eeeek hope you will be doing a video for that.

Wow Shawn this is amazing well done you 🎢👏🎉 Truly inspirational. Nemesis opened when I was 24 and we travelled up from Buckinghamshire to Alton towers to ride it waited 90 minutes for it . Great ride hope it goes on for many more to come . I really hope you don't get unwell after getting so cold and wet. Take care of yourself. Xxxx

I participated, I rode El Toro in Plohn (Germany) 28 times in a row. GCI power!
Of course not as much as you did, but I also wanted to do other rides as well. I needed 2 hours for the 28 rides on El toro because I didn't need to step off. It's still one of my favorite woodies coasters out there. Congrats on the Nemesis challenge.
