Wow. Your videos are always excellent. But this one simply blew me away. I wonder sometimes if it's good to revisit all the pain and loss and unimaginable suffering from an event like October 7th. It's easy to allow the passing of time to dull our memories and our emotions a little. But watching this video makes me realize that we can't ever forget. And yet we have to find ways to continue living.
Actually it was almost 7k!! Half were Hamas and half were citizens😡 Thank you for this episode🥺😔😔❤️❤️❤️ Our spirits ARE stronger than ever! We will not bow, we will not crumble! It could be that many people think they reach acceptance, but what they enter is only a new stage of denial, starting hhe whole mourning process from the beginning.

How has it been a year and its only gotten worse since then Am Yisrael Chai now and forever We'll never be the same and never forget but like every tragedy we rise from the ashes and keep on fighting
on october 7th i was at a wedding in the us that came to a standstill as members of my family were called up. to serve and most of my relatives had no way to get home. after break I returned to my boarding school in New England and I remember the gut wrenching feeling of seeing a regular American jew going up there to tell people that they should not be celebrating this, being ridiculed as a zionist by some students, I still regret not going up their and pronouncing that I am an Israeli-American and I'm sick of not being allowed to grieve to mourn and that these white elitist Americans should have no opinion on this, this was 8 days after October 7th and I wasn't allowed to mourn. I still wish I went up on that stage. I wasn't powerful enough to stand up there myself the one student most affected by this.
Rarely do I cry to a video on youtube but this... this hit all the right notes for the right reasons. I dream of a day that Israel and all the Jews can live in peace. I send my prayers from Australia to the Israeli Defence Force's and the citizens of Israel.
It was also a year of learning who your friends are. How many of us found those we admired, especially some celebrities, were not on our side. But, then remember those who stood behind us!
Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yolk is easy and my burden is light."
deep - painful / as one who has seen war far too close and personal - I know it will take years and years - forgiveness NEVER, understanding possibly - too many grave stones with tear stains!
I'm really curious...why no one is asking "How Israel let October happened?" What's the detailed timeline look that day? Where did the government failed?
Yes, and just how could the IDF have gotten the hostages back by now, how could the government? Give away the whole country? I know we are in lots of pain but we have to also be clear headed. The US is not going to help. The government and IDF are doing all that they can. It's a horrific situation and endlessly painful. There simply are no easy answers for this mess.
Seems a lot like what happens on rock music concert in Russia year ago. Police for some reason was not there. Then, Government implemented stricter migrational laws.
I am unable to last one minute into this video when the same could be said for the opposite side, except it happens more frequently for them. I watched the BBC’s Arab-Israeli war documentary. My conclusion is both sides have extremists minorities. But the official reaction by the Israeli side has been consistently blatant, disproportionate, catastrophic and accompanied by propagandistic media outpourings. The root of this problem is essentially whether you choose to love this world or to love the afterlife. If you believe in the latter, it means everyone living is equal. End of story.
@@ari-mh6dw crazy that you are full of grief of one side but ignorant of the other. Unless someone has been brainwashing you. Remember that Jews, Muslims and Christians were living peacefully before 19th century. Look up Maimonedes. He was living in Islamic Spain.
This is very touching but it also feels hollow. The words are true but the reality that we see from the outside is quite different. Where are the tears for innocent Palestinians who woke up one day to find their entire community wiped out because there may or may not have been one terrorist staying among them? What about all of the children dying from preventable disease, exposure to the elements and hunger all because of the callous response of the israeli government? What about the doctors, journalists and volunteers who died for the "crime" of saving lives? What about the racism and double standards where an extremist israeli is seen as nothing more than a bit too patriotic while the equivalent palestinian is seen as such a barbaric monster as to be deserving of immediate execution by missiles with the full knowledge that the collateral for this one execution will be hundreds of innocent lives. As long as israel seeks violence, violence will find it. Peace will only come once both sides are capable of empathy towards the other. Blaming the other side and committing worse atrocities will lead to the downfall of israel. The crimes of israel will be found on the page next to the page on the crimes of hamas in the history books. When will Israelies say "enough is enough"? When will they take down their political tyrants and vote for those who will lead their country towards a more peaceful future? No, this isn't excusing the actions of terrorists. I just think israel should be held to a higher standard than that followed by terrorists, that's all.
They ARE held to a higher standard. Unfortunately it's an impossible standard to hold on to when the other side wants you to die at all costs and won't release the hostages
@@ari-mh6dw That's the kind of black and white thinking that has led to this situation. You've been watching too much propaganda. Are there extremists who want israel destroyed/removed? Yes, many. Are there extremists who want palestinians destroyed/removed? Yes many, though perhaps not as many as the other way around. Can that discrepancy be accounted for by the differences in standards of living, access to education and employment? Definitely. Now, you can double down on your position and just hate the "enemy" because "they hated us first" or you can take the time to understand why they hold that position. Imagine you live your life peacefully then some day a foreign army kills half of your village and displaces you to a refugee camp. You have no income and all your daily supplies are distributed to you through was equates to a regional warlord. Now imagine that warlord who is supplied by the enemy who displaced you attacks that enemy and then you find your refugee camp bombed because some leader guy happened to be there. Now your family is dead, your friends are dead, you're on the run to another refugee camp, you're starving, sick and suffering from PTSD as bombs are going off all around you. Then after all of this you're told that you deserve all of this because you are the "other side" who holds the "wrong thoughts" of wishing the people bombing you would all drop dead. I wonder what you would think when your oppressor complains about how unfair it is to ask them to make peace with you when for every 1 of them that gets killed 10 of your friends get murdered in retaliation. Most of them wanted nothing to do with the conflict but once you've lost all reason to live and you happen to get a chance to kill one of the people who slaughtered your family, it might seem like a good way to go. And that's how israel created the terrorists it's government needed to keep itself in power because peace with different religions/ethnicities simply doesn't fix the zionist extremist ideology that "this is our land and they've got to go because our skydaddy said it's ok for us to genocide them and steal the land 2500 years ago".
