One of the things I love about his wedding videos is he loves getting close up. The more I study his videos and then watch others the more I see how big of a difference this makes. Weddings are intimate and I think sometimes people are too afraid to get in there. That results in a disconnect watching the video like I'm watching a wedding and not AT a wedding. I also love how he's always moving so his wedding videos are like watching music videos. Some people when they get to the speech part of a reception stop moving the camera and it breaks the rhythm. In his videos if he isn't moving the camera he's zooming or panning or doing something to create movement even if something in the shot itself is moving and then he combines different movements. It's always an intimate journey. Yep I'm a fan girl and definitely excited to be in his class now. I'm a writer and love telling and watching stories and that's another thing I see missing from many videos is editing in a way to tell a great story. I see vids with a lot of great shots with poor story telling. I also think the more of a romantic you are the better you're able to get the shots that people will ooooo and ahhh over. Soooooooooo much for me to learn wow.
Felisha S does this tell a story to you? It kind of just feels like a montage of shots of them posing/walking/kissing for pictures then the video guy comes up and snags the same thing but for video haha. I totally agree about the movement though, I hate stagnant shots and this does a good job at maintaining that good energy

@@gustavfrankecinematography This is a zoom technique. You walk up and at the same time you zoom out. That way you get this kinda wierd dimension effect
@@MasterBlast1337 I know the technique :) It's called a zolly, a dolly movement forwards or backwards, and then a zoom in the opposite direction. But I doubt they were able to do that all in camera at a wedding. The movement is way to smooth, not a single bump up or down

No, I don't think it is, I thought it was a first. If you look at people next to them 90% of their faces have a higher luma value. I highly doubt he separated their faces for every shot just to make them look darker and tanner.

@@toresagen7346 the video itself is 800mb because youtube compresses videos to a certain degree. He mentioned that 5 percent of his footage goes to his wedding video, only the best gets into the video. He would have had a lot of excess footage

great work but something must have gone wrong on the export..
the shots are almost skipping through frames.. maybe he exported at the wrong frame rate.. not sure.. checked at different qualities and devices and same result..
watch the first 40 secs and pay attention to the hard lines.. they skip a little the whole way through shots.. especially the slow motion.. which defeats the purpose of slow motion..

i think you mean the motion blur.if you watch his another video explain how he shot this film,you will know why.he didnt use ND,he didnt really follow the 180shutterspeed rule and etc(all for reason). but it works out perfect to me.
Leon M. Tan said it correct. At 1:56 you can see how his head is "jumping in frames". He filmed it with 1/1000 and 1/500 shutter speed, so you don't get natural organic motion blur. If you don't stay with the 180° rule, you have to be aware of fast motions.
