  • It's amazing how music can bring happiness and get people from all over the world dancing. We remain dedicated to sharing our culture and bringing joy to people's lives. Thanks to the festival organizer, all bands participated in an after-party following a three-day festival in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
    About Rastak
Rastak is one of the most well-known bands in Iranian contemporary folk music, which formed as an experimental music group in 1997. The group seeks to collect, record, and interpret Iranian folk music for a global audience, incorporating language, culture, and history merging traditional instruments and forms with contemporary rhythms. Since the beginning, Rastak has been trying to combine the regional sounds that are well known with those that are less well known to shorten the generational gap and create a geographical bridge in the music of Iran.
Rastak has taken part in many international music festivals and concerts held in Iran, England, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Sweden, the United States, Canada, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Chile, Poland, Turkey, Georgia, Belgium, Oman, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Erbil, United Arab Emirates, etc.

احسن به شما . همین موسیقی که بدون بحران و با ثبات به تجربه زیسته خودش ادامه بدهد بتدریج خودش را گسترش میدهد.

There is a large diaspora of Kurds living in Kazakhstan. They arrived there in two waves:
    1. In the 30s, during Stalin's repressions in the Caucasus
    2. During the war in Karabakh after the collapse of the USSR
Although, they came to Kazakhstan much earlier, but there is no exact information. They, along with the Arabs and Persians, were missionaries of Islam. Those who stayed to live in the Steppe became known as Khawaja. They became part of the Kazakh Khanate and were called the white bone.
Those who remained ethnic Kurds are today one of the largest peoples of Kazakhstan. They are in the top 15 in number. Approximately more than 40 thousand. They live in three major cities of Almaty, Taraz, Turkestan. They mostly speak Kurmanji.
