  • Michael Jordan vs Kobe Bryant vs Lebron James - Who Is The Greatest
    ------------------------The Big Dipper Studio "TBDS"------------------------
    I made that mix only for entertainment, not to prove a point on who is the greatest basketball player ever.
    Michael Jordan is considered the greatest basketball player ever. He dominated the league for so many years. He won 6 NBA titles.
    Kobe Bryant is considered the only one closes to Jordan with a total of 5 rings and the way he plays the game like him. Some say he's better than Jordan.
    LeBron James just won his second NBA title recently. He is considered the best all around player in history. Many say he is a freak of nature and no one can stop him.
    And you, what do you think?

    lebron surpassed MJ and KOBE at 28 years old. they just got the better team, even the prime bulls wont win against how the spurs played in the 2014 finals .

    • @Tippotipo
      @Tippotipo 10 лет назад +60

      Except that Lebron had more played games than MJ at 28 years-old and started early in the NBA at around 18 years-old while MJ came later after finishing his college career in North Carolina University.
      Speaking about Prime Bulls vs 2014 Spurs, are you joking? Prime Bulls will obliterate them like no tomorrow because the current rule will make Prime Bulls unstoppable especially with Jordan as team leader, Pippen as blocker and stealer, Rodman as the garbage collector in term or rebound, Kukoc as the six man and the rest of bench with sharp shooters like Steve Kerr. 2014 Spurs would have to deal with other 1990's teams first where physical contacts, tougher defenses and big athletic centers ruled before facing Prime Bulls especially the 1996 edition with the historical 72 wins and only 10 losses.

    • @bangomargit
      @bangomargit 10 лет назад +18

      Prime Bulls was THE best team in NBA history. You cant say they couldnt won against the Spurs, becouse its two different era. Anyone who saying thing like that are just retards. Oh and Lebron surpassed neither MJ nor Kobe yet. If he would won this year, then you could mention him with those two, but seeing his performance in the finals, pls just shut up.

    • @cmv1810
      @cmv1810 10 лет назад +8

      He hasn't surpassed anything, maybe Kobe, but not Jordan. Lebron and Kobe both played right out of high school, Jordan played college and also missed a season and a half when he retired the first time. He would have likely had 8 titles instead of 6 if he hadn't missed that year and a half. Anyone who says that Lebron is better than Jordan or Kobe has not watched Jordan or even Kobe play in their primes, the reality is, James is a top 10 all time player, but not the greatest ever, not even close. Stats don't necessarily tell the story my friend, Anyone who thinks that doesn't really understand basketball.

    • @cmv1810
      @cmv1810 10 лет назад +5

      Yup, your completely right, but trying to convince the modern day Lebron fanboys who never saw guys like Jordan, Magic, Kobe, Bird, etc playing in their prime that he is no where near the greatest ever is like telling a rock to get up and walk, it just won't happen.

  • @rhianimal19
    @rhianimal19 10 лет назад +66

    MJ > Kobe > LBJ. It's that simple. LBJ ain't even close to the Black Mamba, so putting him and MJ in the same sentence is ridiculous. MJ played in the era of Bird, Magic, and the Bad Boys. That's what made him so GD tough. MJ playing in THIS league in THIS time right now would average 40 a game. He'd be burning alla their asses every night without even trying hard

      @rhianimal19 10 лет назад +3

      Kobe is a winner. Period. MJ is a winner. Period. LBJ? Kinda sorta? Not in the same league with those guys. Plays in a soft era. LBJ would be gettin the hell beat outta him night in and night out back in the days of Barkley and The Worm. And he don't like contact, never has. He may pad his stats, but he'll never be seen as good as MJ or Kobe. That's a fact. LBJ won't win nothing in CLE now that they traded away all that number one picks talent. K-Love? LOL. Great White Hype is more like it.

    • @xtmac13x
      @xtmac13x 10 лет назад +1

      Spiffy Turtle …. lbj has surpassed kobe so yes he does deserve to be in the same category as mj. Many hall of famers from larry's era said so themselves that lebron would have adapted and still probably the best. Lebron is 270 he would still be doing what he does now in that era. If your going to grade them on anything do it by Finals mvp and reg season mvp that shows who is the best player in the league and best player on their team when they won the championship.

    • @xtmac13x
      @xtmac13x 10 лет назад

      mj played against a lot of washed up players lol. Larry bird was beating that ass until the injuries came. All the players he faced were as old as the fossils still being dugged up. In this era were players are bigger faster and stronger he is not scoring 40ppg sorry.

      Jordan Defensive Win Shares - 64.1
      Lebron Defensive win shares - 51.5
      Kobe defensive win shares - 49.6
      Jordan got over 200+ steals in a season 6 times.
      - Kobe and James NEVER DID lmaooo
      Mj most steals in a season 259. (james 177, Kobe 181)
      Jordan got over 100 blocks in an season twice.
      - James and Kobe NEVER DID lmaooo
      Funny how Jordan is a lot smaller than Lebron and yet is able to get more steals and also get more blocks also

    Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time. the only player that should be in the same sentence is Kobe Bryant. Lebron STILL has a long way to go but he will go down as one of the BEST players to play the game. BUT, If you sit there and say you would choose LeBron to have the ball in the last seconds of the game over Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant. You just don't watch basketball.

      In the finals, I would want the ball in LBJs hands first than Kobe as Kobe may chuck it up. For regular season though, Kobe is great at last second shots. Just remember that for every highlight of Kobe forcing shots in, you don't see them misses.

    Let's just take a look at the NBA Final games records. That's when the games matter the absolute most obviously. Let's see what each record is.
    MJ - 24-11, Kobe - 23-15, Lebron 11-15. This really marks who's the greatest. How you perform in the big time moments. That separates the best from the rest

    • @RickyMoss
      @RickyMoss 10 лет назад +3

      Kobe played with the greatest center in the NBA during the time of his first 3 championships.. the finals MVP in every year of their 3peat

      Ricky Moss and Lebron had Wade and Bosh. The 2 guys who he thought would help him win championships in Miami. So my post remains accurate.

      @FoolKickRocks 10 лет назад +14

      Ehh , the 2007 finals can't really be counted. On paper sure but if you watched that series it was 1 vs 5 , everyone can honestly say that. D wade isnt the same. After the 2014 finals its oblivious to even say d wade produced anything. Chris Bosh as well.

    • @TheChannelThatTimeForgot
      @TheChannelThatTimeForgot 10 лет назад +1

      A miserable team doesn't get the best record in the league.
      Lebron didn't score every bucket. Make every pass, get every rebound. He had a strong team around him. They weren't stars, but they were playing above their level that season. Yes, he elevated their play, but they were simply nothing more than a well oiled unit that year.
      Similar to the 94 Houston Rockets. Outside of Hakeem - they had no big hitters, yet they still steam rolled everyone and won a championship because they played TEAM ball.
      Of course Jordan could have done the same with the Cavs.

    • @antoniobasic5497
      @antoniobasic5497 10 лет назад

      daveberg69 he went to miami and cavs won maybe 20 games,thats not miserable for you?

    • @TheChannelThatTimeForgot
      @TheChannelThatTimeForgot 10 лет назад

      So again - I ask, did Lebron score every point for Cleveland? Did he get every rebound? Did he play 48 minutes every game? Did he play 1v5?
      Of course he didn't - it was a TEAM effort. Of course he was the defining factor, but the team played out of their minds that year, I watched enough of their games to know that. It's just a fan boy myth that LBJ did it 'all on his own'.
      Nobody does it alone. Teams win games, not individuals.

    Lebron James is not even in the discussion!!! The Illuminatit has chosen him and he is the man at the time. Nothing more nothing less. Great Player and all but he is not better the Jordan or close to it and not even better then Kobe. If it wasnt for Wade, Ray Allen and Chris Bosh helping bail him out he wouldnt even have those Rings.

    • @Thecouchwalker
      @Thecouchwalker 10 лет назад +9

      Basketball is a the team orientated sports so when we argue about the greatest the only thing you can bring up is the statistics n_b_a championships take a team to win not 1 player so rings is definitely the wrong way to rate a player Championships were all that mattered Bill Russell would be the greatest player of all time and Robert Horry would be better than the Charles Barkley and we all know that's not the truth facts are LeBron is a career 27 points per game with seven rebounds and seven assists Michael Jordan is 30 points per game with 6 rebounds 6 assit and Kobe is 25 points per game with 5 assist and five rebounds

    • @Thecouchwalker
      @Thecouchwalker 10 лет назад +1

    I like what was said here: "they deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Michael Jordan" true, but MJ STILL is the greatest. Never forget that he played on the hardest era of the NBA, where hall of fame talent was spread all over the states, where defense wasn't limited by stupid rulings, where teams were so much physical than it is today and Jordan could play on both sides of the court not just offensive.

    • @levilands7578

      i feel like lebron couldve dominated in tha era too. he plays both sides of the ball very well and todays nba has got it in his head that everything is a foul back then he wouldve adapted his shooting game a lot faster since he knew he'd have contact every play. but yeah mj will be better until lebron gets the rings a far as skill in my opinion the are just about equal. kobe is just a scorer so in the mj lebron kobe list he is

  • @CDiP2277
    @CDiP2277 10 лет назад +16

    I am a huge LeBron fan; however, the glaring difference between LeBron and MJ are those defining last 2-4 minutes of the game. MJ had that intense mental toughness and LeBron wasn't born with that. Instead, LeBron is trying to develop it and he has surely come a long way (but still not close to Michael). In the end, LeBron is a much nicer person than MJ was... and 'Nice guys finish last'.
    Next, Kobe was cut from a similar cloth as MJ, but he will never reach the level of admiration that MJ does. Simply because many people discount 3 of his 5 rings as being won by Shaq (avg. 36 pts in 3 Finals) and not Kobe (avg. 23 pts in 3 Finals).

    • @CDiP2277
      @CDiP2277 10 лет назад

      ***** He played a role for sure. But being a role player is different than being the team's MVP. Jordan was Finals MVP with all 6 rings. He was never ever a role player as Kobe was with Shaq.

      TheGiantKiller8 In my eyes, Jordan is the best individual player and had better teams. But Lebron is the best overall player who makes his teammates much better than they are. For instance, when Jordan left the Bulls to play baseball the team still made it to the eastern conf finals. When Lebron left the Cavs they became the worst team in basketball (over 60 wins with him, the over 60 losses without him the next year).

      CDiP2277 MJ was a 1 man team bro. Remember he left the bulls, the bulls lost that year, MJ came back and they won.

      Solito/AllMyPeopleLoco I would pay money to see MJ play against 5 other NBA guys, please. Overall, the Heat were not the best team. They had no rebounding or down low presence. Any one of Jordan's Bulls teams (without Jordan) would crush last year's Heat (without LeBron). Wade is done and Bosh is maybe a top 20 player. Why does everyone forget all of the Hall of Famers Jordan played with? I'm not knocking Jordan, individually he is better than LeBron. But we could speculate and argue all day. The single fact in all of this is the Bulls made it to the Eastern Conf Finals after Jordan went to play baseball. That is irrefutable. Saying the game was harder then only proves my point more that the Bulls were a great team. Saying who is better at defense in certain situations is speculation, NOT FACT. Were are the numbers to back that statement?
      Lastly, some people may forget Jordan's ridiculous talent, but most give him so much credit it makes me sick. Case in point, saying he could beat 5 NBA players single-handedly. That comment is pure stupidity.

    MJ is the greatest and it`s already over for Lebron to catch him, just like Kobe. So the conversation is between Kobe and Lebron and as of right now, Kobe is better on pure career. At the end, I suspect Lebron will be ahead of Kobe but you never know what can happen. Injuries etc.
    MJ, game for game, stat for stat and the era he played in objectively show his as the GOAT.

      MJ - 41011 minutes played.
      Kobe - 45567 minutes played.
      Lebron - 33276 minutes played.
      Kobe ran out of time and Lebron is soon to follow. MJ's stats are insane if you consider he only really played 11 seasons with what he did.

    a ball that is insane. This guy was easily the most naturally gifted. Ask Phil Jackson.

      Did you just put Kobe above Magic AND Bird? Kobe isn't even the greatest Laker, Jordan is the GOAT but LeBron COULD surpass him but the way people/media put a certain criteria on him, I doubt that he'll do it. Larry AND Magic are way better than Kobe and both were all around players, Durant isn't even up there with Larry, Magic, or Wilt. Kobe is great but don't be so disrespectful. I can argue that LeBron has already surpassed Kobe on the all-time list.

    • @TheULMOnaut
      @TheULMOnaut 10 лет назад +4

      Kobe shoots around 30% FG in game-winning situations for his career regular season or playoffs, Jordan shot 58% in the regular season and 50% in the playoffs for his career.
      Kobe is as unclutch as everybody else in the league today.

      There is nothing wrong with Kobe Bryant, he is a legend, but at his age an injury as he had can mean the end of the good times. But aside from the injury problems, in years past Kobe has virtually stopped playing both ends of the court. His defensive aggressiveness only came in spurts, which is not enough, when you're a team leader. I think, even before the achilles injury, Kobe had slown down a bit stamina wise and therefore he concentrated more on his offense.

    MJ had better shot selection than Kobe. Pure physical basketball talent; I think they are equal. Ive seen Kobe physically do everything Mike could do. But Kobe emulated his game after MJ. MJ emulated no one. He created the phenomenon of himself (the gold standard). Mike wasnt trying to be better than someone else, Kobe has always been aspiring to be Mike (not his fault just the way it is) If Kobe would have stayed with Shaq and won 7 or 8 rings? I dont know if it would have helped is case. Maybe. 81 points against any team is certainly a feat that Ill always remember Kobe for.

    If there is one thing that can shut up the Lebron lovers is... Lebron's shooting form looks like a high-school freshman center that's shooting a basketball. Especially the ones that just started playing. It looks like dirt that's what I'm trying to say. Plus, MJ and Kobe changed the game of basketball by becoming the icon of NBA. Lebron hasn't reach that level, yet. In my opinion, Lebron isn't even half as influential as Allen Iverson who revolutionize they way people look at NBA basketball.

      they can be compared, who left their losing team to go to a sure thing instead of working for it? who would you choose to take the last shot down 2 with 1.2 seconds left? would lebron play even though he has a fever and riddled with the flu? all these things can be compared and to me i dont care if lebron scores the most points ever, hell never be jordan or kobe

      Dude are you seriously ripping on LeBron for leaving a team the he could not win with? May I remind you that Michael Jordan left not just his team, but the entire NBA and went to play baseball. What is the goal of every NBA player? TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP. LeBron knew that he wasn't going to get another chance with the Cavs and left because he wanted a championship, its not like he did it to be a dick.

    lebron makes his teammates better, without lebron in miami. miami heat players are already a better player. the only reason why lebron makes his teammates better in our eyes is be ause he shares the ball pass the ball isnt it?? but the true about that is, when he is double team or in a rough D. he will not hesitate to pass the ball because he cant move shoot the way kobe jordan tmac iverson dwade even durant do. thats why lebron is efficient cause he choose his shots wisely, easy layup fastbreak dunk open shot, thats what also seperate kobe and mj to lebron. mj and kobe can handle that no matter how tough the situation is. what can they do if their teammates BELIEVE or RELY on them if theres no one who is open to make shots, ATLEAST kobe n mj prove to us many times how good they are without the help

    MJ during his prime 1st 3 peat championship - 1991 32 and 11 APG average, 1992 35 and 7, 1993 finals record 41 PPG and 9 rb… all on blistering efficiency and .450 from 3, ridicullous steals + turnover ratios. Lebron hasn't even sniffed that once. When Lebron has a 45 point playoff game, its one of the best games of his career. MJ AVERAGED 45 PPG in a playoff series (1992 against Miami). It's really not close. 10 scoring titles damned near consecutively, the year MJ played point guard he averaged 32, 8 and 8, closer to a triple double average than Lebron or Kobe's ever had. He has more legendary moments in the finals than anyone by far - 1991 12 field goals straight and "the move" against the lakers, 1992 the 6 3's in a half finals record and "shrug" 1993 the record PPG and game winner, 1998 the "flu game" a game winner, game winning assist, and of course last game as a bull the consecutive lay-up, steal, and game winner pad-on-the-butt to Russell. Lebron and Kobe are amazing, but MJ was legendary. Winning DPOY and scoring title in the same year? Meaning he was best on both ends of the court? That's insane. NBA record 72 win season? 2 3-peats straight, ALWAYS outplaying his opponent? Lebron's let his matchup Kawhi win finals MVP, Kevin Durant outscore him, his own teammate Wade and Dirk outplay him, as well as Duncan/Parker all in the finals. Who ever outplayed MJ? Exactly. Most amazing - he did it in an era where rules allowed big men to dominate, wait in the lane, and guards could not score as easily. He did it at the shooting guard position, unstoppable midrange game. As Lebron ages, he will decline fairly rapidly. He won't be averaging 30 at age 34 like MJ, let alone 23 at age 39, shattering oldest player scoring records. Can you imagine Lebron averaging only 3 PPG less 9 years from now?

    MJ,Kobe,Lebron..but that is just those three,for those of us who have watched many players that get left out of this equation such as West,Baylor,Robertson,Kareem,Wilt,Russell,Bird,Magic are just a few that should be in the conversation but many 30 and under always leave them out. The game changes,styles change and the older taped footage may look a bit dated and comical to the youth,however,you take any of the great players and put them in this era and they would be just as good and probably much better! Why? Imagine those players with todays rules where you cant hand check or use a forearm on defense the way you could back in the day? Kobe played when that kind of defense was still played but guys like Bron,Melo and todays players have no idea of how physical the game was back then. Yes,players may get bigger and stronger but if the past generations had the same nutritional info,workout equipment and supplements one can only imagine how great they would be! Imagine Wilt with todays advantages! Imagine a Jerry West that is even stronger and faster and with a 3 point line..how many would he average? How bout Nique with some of today's equipment..how much higher would he jump? He already jumped higher than most can imagine..unless you ever watched him play live!! So,yes,its fun to compare and that is what sports is about,however,it is very unfortunate that today's youth totally forget the past,heck,Kobe was considered the best in the game as recent at 2010-11 and even after one of his best seasons ever last year,he was totally left out of the conversation despite changing his style to a Lebron style for a stretch and doing it as well as any! All of them are great but there is that competitiveness that you see in MJ and Kobe that I think separate them a tad from Bron. Last years all-star game was a perfect example,can you imagine had another great player challenged MJ or Kobe in that game and blocked their shots on consecutive attempts?? They would have KILLED to get some revenge...Bron just sort of shrugged it off and that was it. I think that is the one thing lacking from the package for Lebron. He is competitive but doesn't have that "win at all costs or die trying" attitude that MJ,Kobe or even Bird and Magic possess. I don't think he was quite as tough mentally as those two. Well,we can debate forever and it will remain a matter of opinion. Peace.

      ***** You can't conveniently leave out injury years. Otherwise Grant Hill would be better than Larry Bird. Secondly, LeBron plays in an era that is far superior to both the 80's and 90's. Defensively and thereby offensively(since it's harder to score). Also athletically and that's not even debatable.
      LeBron > Jordan

    • @gavinoprimo2535

      ***** Wow in 2006. That's a big difference when it's half a decade later. And if you replace Jordan with LeBron in the 90's he would have won as much if not more due to MJ playing baseball.
      Jordan carried the load? Is that why he won a single playoff game before Pippen came to the Bulls? His record was 1-9 across three different playoff series. Jordan's team was so good that whenever he went to play baseball, the Bulls only lost two more games the following season without him. Yeah, it sounds like he really carried the load.

    Kobe and Lebron have played basically their entire career under lax defensive rules that intentionally favor perimeter players. No handchecking and the middle opens up every 3 seconds equals inflated stats. Jordan did it in the toughest defensive era in NBA history. #1 all time in PER, #1 all time in PPG (regular season AND playoffs), #1 all time in blocks for a guard, #2 all time in steals, #3 all time in rebounds for a guard, multiple steals titles, only player to have won the scoring title and DPOY in the same year, 6 championships in 8 years, 2 3peats, 6 Final MVPs, 5 reg. season MVPs, at one point posted 10 triple doubles in 11 games, etc. His Bulls had beat the most number of 60 win teams on their way to the titles. Jordan had to work much harder to earn his championships. I have seen him literally get punched in the air then punched again on the ground. In comparison, Lebron and Kobe had/have it easy.

    I think MJ and Lebron are the two best players of all time. They are equally skilled in different areas. Kobe is 2nd because he was just like MJ play wise just not quite as good. Out of all three of them neither is a lot better than the other, they are all relatively close in skill level which is why this video exist. Michael Jordan is the greatest without a doubt.
    But to say Kobe Bryant is better than LeBron James is just wrong, Kobe is/was a great player and all but he is no LeBron James. The ONLY argument for Kobe Bryant being better is the fact that he has 5 championships and LeBron only has 2. However, Kobe Bryant had significantly better teams throughout his career, All-Stars/All-NBA WHILE on his team (Yes I know All-Star Selections hardly matter but people like them):
    Eddie Jones (2x All-Star 1997-98)
    Nick Van Exel (All-Star 1998)
    Shaquille O'Neal (7x All-Star 1997-2004, All-NBA 3rd 1997, All-NBA 2nd 1999, 6x All-Nba 1st 1998,2000-2004, MVP 2000)
    Pau Gasol (3x All-Star 2009-2011, 2x All-NBA 3rd 2009-10, All-NBA 2nd 2011)
    Andrew Bynum (All-Star 2012, All-NBA 2nd 2012)
    Dwight Howard (All-Star 2013, All-NBA 3rd 2013)
    LeBron James played with:
    Mo Williams (All-Star 2009)
    Dwyane Wade (4x All-Star 2011-2014, 2x All-NBA Third 2012-2013, All-NBA Second 2011)
    Chris Bosh (4x All-Star 2011-2014)
    Kobe Bryant teammates: 14 All-Star, 4 NBA Third Team, 3 NBA Second Team, 6 NBA First Team, AND A LEAGUE MVP ON HIS TEAM.
    LeBron James teammates: 9 All-Stars, 2 NBA Third Team, 1 NBA Second Team.
    Of course Kobe Bryant has more championships, he has had better teammates, basketball is a TEAM game.
    Kobe Bryant is a great player, one of the greatest, top 15 of all time without doubt, probably top 10, and even top 5 depending on how you look at it, my opinion top 10-15.
    But I am sorry, LeBron James is just better. He might not be top 5 yet but will most likely end up there (I can see an argument for him being there right now already).
    LeBron has 4 MVPs, Kobe has 1.
    LeBron has 2 Finals MVPs, Kobe also has 2.
    LeBron has better regular season AND playoff stats than Kobe, he has a better FG % and 3-point FG %, he has more rebounds, steals, blocks, points, and assists per game in both the regular season and playoffs. Only stat Kobe has better is Free Throw shooting and only by a little. LeBron also has better "clutch shot" percentage (last 24 seconds of close game).
    People love to blame LeBron for losing in the finals 3 times, but Kobe Bryant also lost twice in the finals, it happens to everyone. The only "real" loss that LeBron could have changed was 2011, but he played poorly, it happens to everyone, Kobe Bryant shot 6/24 in a NBA Finals game 7 but they still won (Not taking anything away from Kobe, he was incredible that playoff run). The 2007 Finals was a joke, and LeBron played great in the 2014 Finals but his team just wasn't with him and got beat down by an incredible Spurs team.
    I'm not a die-hard LeBron fan or a Kobe hater, both players are great, but facts are facts.
    LeBron James is the better player.

    What we will never see but I feel is the true measuring stick would be seeing how Jordan played today, with today's competition (in his prime). True Jordan was ahead of his time in terms of ability and the game was very physical in terms of fouls that were allowed during Jordan's time. Nonetheless we cannot ignore the 1 HUGE factor that simply can't be denied. Player's today are bigger, stronger, and faster than they've ever been which means there would be less need to foul a player to stop him. Instead we're seeing them flat out play defense. Every now and again you will see the "smart foul" to stop the easy score but in most cases players are WORKING for the points they earn on the court today (as they should).

      Smh. MJ is the ONLY player in NBA history who could take a time machine from the 1980's and play today 30 YEARS later. AND yes HE WOULD still lead the league in scoring and steals.
      Greatness is something you DO NOT understand. ALL the greatest player's in the last 20 year's have been studying MJ. ALL have failed....
      MJ IS a nuclear bomb in the history of the NBA. He was beating the best player's BEFORE he even was in the league (1983 usa vs nba all stars). His 12 seasons stats with the bulls ARE better & WAY BETTER in the playoffs then Lebron's Lebron NEEDS more work and reminds me of a Karl malone/Scottie pippen hybrid. Scottie was a BETTER defender also. And as if you didn't know MJ would put 60+ points FREQUENTLY on Scottie in their many practices.
      The size of Lebron is overstated, Shawn Kemp would dunk right on his ass. The league today has DEVOLVED just like people today. It's soft, and just like studies have PROVEN, people today are LESS smart then before due to reliance on TECHNOLOGY. While people have more multitasking abilities, their memory and individual thought HAS DECREASED.
      EVERYTHING NEW *IS NOT* BETTER. And even non athletic Larry Bird would give Lebron trouble. It's about SKILL, IQ, CREATIVITY. Lebron like a lot of players are just manufactured copies, robots. He WILL NOT be remember as MJ has been and will continue to be.

      TranscendingPolygons you clearly have some feelings and thoughts that shouldn't be directed towards me and because of this I started not to answer but I'll say this: I'm an MJ fan first of all and I truly recognize what it is to be GREAT! This is why in no shape, form, or fashion would I attempt to discredit Lebron even though I'm a bigger fan of Kobe. Both of them are greats. Another thing is that if there's anybody who says time and physicality has nothing to do with the advancement or progression of the game is simply CLUELESS. I'm not taking shots at you man but the denial of such is just insane!!!

      TranscendingPolygons addressing the technology statement: We aren't talking about robots here, talking humans and the 2 besides MJ in this discussion are individuals with very high basketball IQ's. If Kobe's moves aren't creative enough for you then I don't see how MJ's moves would even make for discussion here. REALLY! Especially when MJ claims he's stole all of his moves.

      J. Thomas Prolifyk J
      1) My apologies first of all. It would seem I was directing my thoughts on the subject directly at you.
      2) Clearly, there are things for you to still learn about BB. Kobe for example ONLY copied the "old MJ" from 95-98. Kobe *could not* have copied young MJ, because *no one* has done some of things he did. Not before his time and not since. We see pieces of it here and there in all the players of the last 20 years.
      3) Having watched MJ start out and the following...
      Grant Hill
      Penny
      Allen
      Kobe
      Vince
      Tmac
      Lebron
      Durant
      MJ in many ways is still better then these players. And not just statistically and achievements either. But on so many other levels also.
      4) A few interesting facts not many people mention. Look at the beginning and end of ALL the greatest players in NBA history. You will notice how most of them start off slow like Kobe for example (not Jordan) and when they get to the end of their career, "the new upcoming" players beat them as they get older. In Kobe's case it's Lebron and Durant. This occurrence happens *a lot* in the NBA history. BUT when MJ left the Bulls he was still top dog at the end of his career, even though MANY players tried to show him up. And when he was a rookie (unlike Kobe) he was schooling the MVP of the league.
      Even when MJ was 40 years old and still breaking records with the horrible Wizards, he would still hold his own against all the top guns. Usually by that time you're lucky if you can come off the bench and put up 10 points. You'll understand this as you get older.
      MJ changed his game after his first retirement comeback, into a more post up/shooter player and still lead the league. Just in case you don't know, that has NEVER happened before in the NBA. Everything Kobe is doing MJ already has done, *BUT* Kobe has great longevity, which cannot be denied. Here's hoping he can play well for a couple seasons.
      5) Lastly, what are the most athletic players today in the league? Because I think I know the answers to that question, and I can of a number of players who can match those players in speed and leaping from the 80's, 90's, 00's. How much more athletic is today's game? Is it sooo much more athletic really? Don't bother bringing up Griffin, Jordan, Westbrook, I've already got counterparts for those guys.
      Btw it's a GREAT thing you like Kobe, diversity is everything. When people have different favorite players, that's a good thing for the NBA in imo.

      you are out of your mind. Jordan played in the era of the NBA that has the best players who ever played. Todays NBA dont hold a candle to what those days had. I can tell you are a youngster just by your comment.

      Davin Herrmann Kobe only shoots more 3ys, that's about it. From mid range even 3pnt % MJ is better, and this is all according to NBA shooting charts that only go down to 96, leaving MJ's best years out.

    • @chomps19
      @chomps19 10 лет назад +1

      Lebron ran a 4.3 in highschool... Just go look at scouting reports and yeah now he's a 4.5 but he's gotten stronger over speed which in the NBA you don't need great speed to get in the lane Lebron can go in the post if he really wants to so yeah speed isn't the most important thing to Lebron now if he was a pg who would have to drive to get in the paint and mj wasn't as physically big so yes he needs speed of power to get in the paint
