If you have Freeze arrows, you can take down Stormbird like in the video. But if you do not have these yet, better stay away and get the Carja war bow atleast first. Stormbird can be taken down by Fire damage but it will require to attack on it's back cannisters and that's not easy task and even after that won't provide freeze benefit. So long battle!
Yeah freeze arrows are king, he gets knocked to the ground when you freeze him, enough time to put some. Sticky bombs at him or tie him down with your ropecaster
When I met my first roided out murder chicken I was on the way up to the hunting grounds - as you might know, at a certain distance you can't draw weapons anmore, so this turkey with personality disorder layed into me as I was trying to get back to a point I can draw weapons and pay it back in kind.
for me I spam tearblast, hardpoint arrows, and ropecaster a lot, I didn't think of using the slings that often. this is giving me some new ideas lol thanks for this video!!
Not much harder without the ropecaster on hard to be honest, once you hit triple-shot frost on them to freeze them it's straightforward I think since freezing makes them fall to the ground, allowing triple-shot precision arrows into the weak spots.
My first couple Stormbirds were all sleepers. They had this habit of just hovering in front of me and kindly eating my arrows for a bit, then dying 😕 On my NG+ playthrough, one finally decided to fight back, but I was already geared out at that point and the only challenge I experienced was having to full heal twice due to the "shock" (pun intended) that the Stormbird was actually fighting back.

what difficulty is this? my approach for this is to ropecast it first to the ground if it's out of range of my war bow. if it's in range already, the freeze arrow from the war bow, 2 salvos of it (2 triple shot) to freeze it then powershot bow's precision arrow (triple shot as well). basically stacking the freeze and full draw of the bow for the exponential damage. probably 4 to 6 salvos on average depending how good you aim for the weakspot. it's faster that way for me and it's on ultra hard too. the iceshot works well maybe even better with this too to replace the powershot bow. but it requires 3 pristine coil which means you would have to play this at least 3 times before achieving the highest burst damage for it.
I just use the Banuk War Bow with 2x freeze mods 51% and 2x Handling mods with 67% Handling with 17% freeze. Triple Arrow freeze it. It will fall like brick on its face. stuned for several seconds, then hover for 3 seconds near the ground. Triple arrow shots for easy kill.
If you have Tear Arrows and you put one right on his main weapon (the chest "gun")it likes to implode and stuns him then you can use your ropecaster and shoot one tear arrow behind his head to expose his freeze canisters war arrow and proceed as shown ;) ty for the upload I like to play this game whenever I have time also on PC due to my work that only gives me a day on the weekend. Me i have 44% tear and 43% tear and it give me just 148 total tear. Why?
Amazing!!
Oh my stars
Superb!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Wire is just so damn cheap at the merchant, 5 shards for 1 wire is basicly free
After first Stormbird kill, I don't think i cared to loot basic craft material. either I was already selling 100+ basic materials or just bought everything from merchants in case i wasted too much resources while having fun at something.
Ahh, my answer is to be 40 levels higher than I am.
There was no mercy
When frozen, hardpoint or precission arrows do more damage than sticky bombs.
May be true but i wanted to be ready tie him down second time asap before he flies away, & that's where sticky bombs come in handy.
@@WitcherKING Yeah, I usually have the sharpshot bow equipped (I like sniping), and in the wheel the Blast Sling and the Hunter Bow for flame arrows to deal with Glint Hawks. Actually I rarely use elemental stuff, maybe I equip the War bow instead of the Trip Caster, hardly use that one either.
That said, I usually get the murder chicken down with precision arrows and pester it with stickies, rince, repeat, done. Not the fastest way but I think it's fun.
Of course it gives machines time to gather, like I mentioned in that tale, but hey, the more the merrier.
having fun with different methods while keeping cool is what makes us discover unique things. Check out my other video of Thunderjaw kill (Godzilla mode) 😂
What weapons did you have?
Pause the video when I select the weapon and check all the weapons easily.
A method far quicker is roping it down, then shooting the 2 blaze canisters with fire arrows, then it's either dead or 1 shot
Blaze Cannisters are on its back. Way harder to shoot in the first place. Plus u risk blowing away urself from the explosion IMO.
But whatever works for you is Great!
Ropecaster and icerail should do the trick..
But Icerail is a Frozen Wilds Weapon & not everyone plays DLC in mid game.
Bruh was not playin nun games 😂 like this
Bruh and I thought that taking down the stormbird's engines would leave unable to fly
Nah, that's a recipe for frustration. All machines when tied down, their system diverts all power to get free at top priority. (Add in Robotic sound) No No No....system Hanged....reboot reboot reboot 🤣🤣🤣
All I have is fire arrows, regular arrows, long range arrows, Sylen's Lance and the rattler. None of this fancy stuff.
Proceed into the the story more to unlock more stuff.
bruh..I use 3 tear arrows at the chest then electrify either side of the wing with the stormslinger...gg can't fly..crashes straight into the ground
I Don't mind the Stormbird but I like taking down Scorchers most annoying machine ever not until you get their weakness though.
Have u checked my other 45 seconds Kill video on Scorchers?
Obviously you are the antagonist in this story
🤣🤣🤣
I love the fov
Its easier with freezing it with freeze arrows and then using precision arrows on its eyes.
Bombs only get 25% bonus damage from freeze. Arrows gey 200%. Eyes get 100%
Note the "Timing" of attacks so it doesn't get any chance to fly away.
@@WitcherKING
i dont mind it flying away. i can always hit it with my arrows and it dies in seconds anyway. probably about 10 arrows after i freeze it
Yeah in easy mode it will take 10 arrows....but try that in ultra hard.
@@WitcherKING
im talking SPECIFICALLY about ultra hard.
if u use precision arrows from the banuk bows with the best mods, it would take about 10 arrows to the eyes when its frozen.
thats about 3-4 triple shots.
@@cobrazax lol load the game right now...and use ur trick to kill it in under a minute... don't forget to record & upload. I will be there cheering for u. Best of Luck!
Wow
Desclaimer Should Be: NO MACHINE HARM IN THIS VIDEO BUT IT DOES 🤣🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦
🤣🤣🤣 that's why i said No Animal was harmed because it was a machine and it was HARMED brutally. 🤣
use up all youŕ ammo...got it
What the fuck just happened
u tell me 😂
@@WitcherKING just like the thunder jaw it's was awesome 😎 the video was helpful. It was FUN
I'm taking on 2 storm bird or one with a group of striders. It's annoying 😂
you are daring a loy 😂
I kill one of those by only freezin it in 35 sec on ultrahard xd
Great 👌
was it with adept icerail with 3 pristine coil?
lol poor bird
What difficult?
It's on Normal difficulty!
I am about to reach the valley again on my Pure Ultra Hard run...keep an eye for latest Ultra Hard Stormbird Encounter.
@@WitcherKING nice. I have already done stormbird on ultra hard. Check my video if you want to see..
@@GamermeetMemes that's great i will check it out!
Wtf.... 😱 😱 😱 😱 OMG
Atleast write what weapons/ammunition you're using!
you can pause the video when I open the weapon wheel and see all the name easily buddy.
Damn...i am a noob🤦♂🤦♂
No u r not!
You just need to check beastiary of every machine before fight and plan ur strategy.
i finished the game without ever using the ropecaster xd
Whatever works for ur playstyle is the best weapon 💯👌
I kill it faster on ultra hard with a sharpshot and war bow lol
Great....Share it with us!
@@WitcherKING freeze it with war bow and kill it with sharpshot bow
Not so resource friendly. 😅😅😅
At level 60 who cares about resources 🤣🤣🤣
That wasn’t killing, it was straight up bullying
I guess a more efficient way would be
1st, tying it down with rope caster. 2nd, take off those freeze and blaze canister shell (with tear blast arrows) them load 2 freeze and fire arrows to those canisters. Freeze then set it on fire. It should be burning while freezing.
I think only 1 type damage works at a time. When froze and u blast it in fire that nullifies freeze damage. Same goes for bellowbacks.
