They really improved upon his melee capabilities. He actually uses his super speed to close into enemies, unlike in RE5 where he only uses it to sprint and it costs a bit of his HP.

the only thing he is lacking imo is a stealth/downed instant kill, which could have been the rhino charge and axe kick respectively

You should play the hardcore and professional mercenaries mod. Makes it so much more fun and challenging. I got 150 on everyone and it was a blast.
