I wonder how MCU would even handle Galactus. I mean, he's unimaginably powerful, usually has violent interactions with the usual Marvel's heroes, but at the same time he isn't evil, he's more akin to the force of nature, and heck, whenever reality itself is threatened he usually is on the front lines to defend it.

The Fantastic Four never fought Ego in the comics though. This particular episode is based on an arc where the FF teamed up with Galactus to take down Sphinx. And Galactus isn't inherently more powerful than Ego. It depends on how well fed he is. But I doubt Galactus would find it easy to consume Ego, because unlike other planets, Ego can fight back.
