I'm almost the exact opposite. I think the format pushes them into relying on randomness, which is when I think TNTL is at its weakest. There certainly are moments here that made me laugh, but not as consistently.
@@climber5900 tbh ill grant you, I feel like the flops do flop harder for this reason, usually when they can’t find a way for the characters to mesh into a coherent bit. Then it just comes off as random. But if I (or most normal people) were in that situation, basically every single bit would fall flat and seem random like that. So when both people get in sync and immediately make sense of the situation in a way that doesn’t seem random, it’s gold, and it’s super impressive to me how often they manage to do that.
I love how most of Garrett's opening lines are just encouraging dad-style remarks no matter how out-of-left-field the paired character is. So wholesome!
Is anyone else floored by how incredible Damien's character work is? Everything he does is fully fleshed out and he's totally committed to some of the most insane ideas. I don't know how he gets there with only a couple minutes of prep time.
Okay the Shayne and Courtney wedding joke is SO much cuter watching this video months later and also makes sense as to why Damien looked at Shayne all shocked haha
I don't know if she took some classes or just got better by experience, but Courtney's improv has massively improved over the years. She wasn't ever bad, per say, but I think she's really killing it lately.
I think the main thing was in the beginning if a bit wasn’t working out she’d cut it and try to make goofy noises or say stuff like “oh no I’m sorry this isn’t funny”; but now she fully commits to the bits even if it still doesn’t make the person laugh; commitment and confidence in your own humor gets people to laugh a lot! I love Courtney’s sense of humor, she’s got me giggling all the time

Courtney has been killing it lately! They've always been funny, but lately they've been on another level. Don't know if it's because of all the directing and backstage roles helping them find their comedic voice or the extra freedom with not having to focus on sketch writing as much due to Ian and Anthony being back together or what, but whatever it is, I hope they continue doing it lol
Courtney’s humour has levelled up to 5000, they make me full belly laugh everytime 😂 “I’m on mah way” 😂 even on days where I don’t want to smile, I can count on Courtney and smosh 🥰 I absolutely love this format, it really shows off how quickly everyone thinks on their feet and just how funny they all are 😂

Garrets super funny - I think the blind pairs is what got him. It’s difficult to know when to jump in, and he clearly had bits in mind that he didn’t get to execute due to the partner jumping in first. I’d love to see him on a regular tntl.
