A Sacramento family is sharing their story after an unexpected delivery in the middle of the night. Someone left a malnourished puppy at their front door and ran off.
I believe those kids were trying to save the pup, and had to hide the help from their parents. I choose to believe they meant well-why else do this? They chose her house for a reason.💐💐💐💐💐💐💐

But it is why if you are gonna do this it would be best to find a no kill shelter. Anger should be directed to breeders and to people who don’t fix their pets. If there wasn’t such an excess amount of stray animals animal shelters overall would be much more humane.
We teach younger people to ask for help from us….why devalue that. If they didn’t care that dog would be in a field or ditched. The rang the doorbell and left probably because they couldn’t explain the why…..and they picked this house for a reason. I’m sure this dog will have the best life now instead of being in a kill shelter ❤

The kids sent this dog to a place where he would be treated good. This wasn't malicious. They probably couldn't take him home and instead did the next best thing.
I prefer to assume this too. Similar to Occam’s razor, it just is the most plausible… and especially so when the only things we know for sure are the acts of kindness we saw on that doorbell camera.
Those kids did the right thing. They placed the pup where they were sure he would be taken in and nurtured. I don't fault them at all. Especially when you see so many cases of people tossing puppies out of car windows, leaving them in deserts (and other unsafe locations), and even tying them to poles on the street and just walking away. *Good luck Lil' Charlie!!!*
Awwww, not only did the kids ring the bell but they also banged on the door. Just goes to show how they wanted someone to respond immediately to make sure the dogs were taken in. They did the best they could and things worked out. 🥰
The kids are smart enough to know the pup could have ended up in a kill shelter if they just called animal control. I hope someone helps those kids because they appear to be growing up neglected themselves Otherwise, what parents don't know three of your small children are outside of the home at 3:00 a.m.? The kids don't know it yet but their kindness will be repaid, God has it in the works.

The lady already has 2 dogs, and as a pet lover sometimes it's good to know your limits. So kind of her though to take the dog to the vet and get the dog in shape to go to it's adoptive home. I have found a couple of stray dogs over the years, unfortunately both times I already had 2 dogs and other animals, so I knew I could not afford a 3rd dog so did not keep the dogs. It was hard though...
I would be in Heaven if someone left something this cute on my doorstep He is simply too cute. The woman that has him should let this be his forever home. Looks like he's already attached to her💙💙
Those kids took the pup to the right place. The lady took it to a vet right away instead of just feeding it. A vet costs money and it takes an animal lover to take it to a vet.
Atleast they didn’t just left it in the street or worst like here in Las Vegas, people leave their dogs in the desert left to die. We rescued one that was just left out of nowhere and now she’s full of love and can’t imagine life without her in it.
Want to acknowledge that these kids were brave in addition to helping the dog. Sadly we’ve seen being young and black at a stranger’s door can get you killed. They put themselves at risk to help this baby. And thank you to this woman, who is embracing this unexpected addition to her home. I’m glad she chose to keep him at home instead of going to the shelter. She is amazing and so are the kids.

Shelters are full of them. So full, puppies are being put down regularly. Could save a life and have a puppy this cute as soon as tomorrow! Should check your local shelters websites

Thankfully there are more good people out there than bad. Its obvious these teens were rescuing this pup most likely from a house in the same neighborhood. Since the dog was in such bad shape, highly doubt the original owners are going to complain.
I know kids that stole a puppy, then realized they couldn't take care of it and did something like this. That puppy, too, was malnourished by the time the kids decided to get rid of it. So I won't make wild assumptions about how upstanding the kids are like most of the commenters, but I _will_ say this is better than dumping the pup somewhere else.

Yes! They also put it under the milk crate so it couldn’t wander off and get hit by a car. They were kind and caring.
