if you ever get back Ontario, here in Ottawa the best burger place is called The Works. Its like taking your typical Mc Donald's and turning it into a high class restaurant.

This was so fun!! I need a beaver tail Stat!! Those looked so good! I’ve never had a chopped cheese either! Poutine is something I must try. I’ve heard so much about Tim Hortons. Wish they had them in the states. We have a Popeyes right down the street! The Mexican restaurant looked amazing and authentic! Thanks for taking us along in your foodie adventure! Sorry I missed the premiere. I loved this !!! I have never been to Ontario. This was so fun to go with you. I have only been to Vancouver in Canada. I do have to say all the places you hit looked so good. I can’t wait to go back to a Tim Hortons. I never thought about that other places don’t have Popeyes 😲. That sushi looked so good. You need to take us on a food vlog to more places around where you live. I was hoping to see the editor, maybe a different time.

I would take up residence in the pie itself, it was that good! We regretted not buying the larger one! The range of fresh pies they had were fantastic! If anyone is in the Collingwood area, I'd recommend paying the Blackbird Pie Company a visit! 😻😻
Toronto has a great restaurant scene. Come to think of it, so does Vancouver, (maybe better than Toronto's), and to some extent, so does Québec, and maybe even Montréal (although Montréal has focused on more 'niche dishes,' like bagels, & pizza). Food-wise, mostly only two cultures have made Canada what it is today: Chinese, and to a lesser extent, French. Outside of these, the third greatest positive influence on the Canadian food scene are the indigenous cultures and the many ancient local ingredients. So if you aren't going to eat "Duck Confit" or "Pâté de Foie Gras" in Québec City, or "Fried Lobster in XO Sauce" in Toronto, you'll be feasting on "Grilled Moose Steaks" in upper Saskatchewan, or "Stewed Seaweed-Berries with Salted Giant Cod" up on the coast of Labrador. Truly, Canada had a unique and underrated World-Class Culinary Scene that has yet to be discovered and explored by the more influential palettes on the planet. I just wonder which of the great (non-US) food cities will be the first to open an authentic "Canadian Restaurant," Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore, Geneva, Shanghai, Berlin, etc. My money is on Tokyo or Amsterdam. Tokyo because they are taken-in by fads there, and Amsterdam because it was the first city in Europe to open an authentic Mexican Restaurant, and because it has easier access to Canadian Ingredients. Either way, I'll be there on opening day, cash in-hand, with my mouth open and my tongue hanging out.
I love your passion! We have a Canadian bar in Central London and it does very well with expats and tourists alike! And more recently, a Canadian west coast inspired restaurant has opened in London, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet!! It's next on my list! I agree a Canadian restaurant in Japan would do very well! Thanks for the lovely message! 😻😻

Oh yeah, rum and raisin is a great choice! Haagen Dazs released a salted caramel and rum ice cream recently, which was scarily easy to eat! So good! Amakara holds a special place in my heart. It's some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. It's also reasonably priced! Well, the sashimi is a little expensive, but rolls are half the price of an average sushi place in London! I'm so glad you enjoyed this food vlog, John! We weren't too sure whether anyone would like it! I think we might be doing another again in the near future! Thanks!! 😻😻
hey Dani so sorry I missed the premiere! Believe it or not in Ontario I've not travelled anywhere besides Ottawa, where I am! I need to go to Toronto! You hit all the major marks for sure! I haven't had a Beavertail in awhile, I really need to but I typically just have them in winter! I'm glad you had generous amounts of poutine, you know how much I love it! They looked good! I also only had Popeye's once, I like it but personally prefer KFC. Maybe it's better in the US tbh. Those cakes in the window make me feel uneasy haha I have one at the mall near me. Loved this! Even though the apple pies were appealing- it was the Beavers Tail that did it for me and I can't wait for the Poutine recipe - I'd never heard of that before! The fried chicken looked amazing and those biscuits looked super tasty too! I'd quite like a cookie dough ice cream! Great video! Like 38! :)
