Wow! John Bevere, God used you to get me back on the path toward my calling. My Messianic Congregation did a bible study using Driven by Eternity. After that book, I felt led to quit my job. We were making good money and I didn't want to rock the boat but I couldn't shake the feeling. I was led to your teaching on tongues and started praying in tongues on my hour drive to work. I knew I had to quit so I did and that act of obedience rocked our world. Thanks to your whole family for living authentically and for your obedience. It encourages me in my walk ❤️
This is me with my masters in clinical counseling. I'm basically doing my dream career. And I'm letting it go. I see a disparity in the church. I have gifts that I'm using in a career setting and not with his people. Look, this is my personal conviction. I've spent years being in a career setting in jobs. And to let something I've always wanted is humbling and yet so peaceful.
For me, it's the fear of breaking God's heart. 😢 I do tremble with fear of Him, but the thought of breaking his heart because He's so wonderful, amazing, merciful, and full of grace and love for me, that I can't stand the thought of making Him sad. ❤️
Not only was it the fear of God, but also the faith Abraham had in God, knowing that He is a faithful God. Regardless of what the why is, knowing that God is good and righteous. Every single thing He does is for a good reason.
Amen and Amen I remember when I was just young in the Lord and the Lord gave me a Word to "go" I was just at the point in my life where the Lord was starting to use me in the local church Even though I submitted to the leadership of the church and informed the pastor he was not in agreement with what the Lord had told me I chose the fear of God and obeyed God not knowing what the next step would be....
There is a difference when you are going to sell your house and you told NO ONE not one person then someone that didn't know you were selling makes you a offer. THAT is God
Abraham did reason though. Hebrews 11:19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.
Ok but that was within himself, right? It wasn't that God outrightly said to him- If you obey me, I'll raise him back to life again. I believe the point the author of Hebrews was trying to make was that it was faith in God's absolute power that enabled Abraham to obey that incredible request.
@@singingwindrider9881 You are correct! He was 37 actually....I stand corrected and hopefully anyone reading this will see. Jacob was 65 when he deceived Isaac for the birthright/blessing of Esau
Sorry John I disagree with you about Abraham not knowing why he had to sacrifice Isaac, God had shown Abraham what was coming through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ his only son
If anyone decided to sacrifice their son in todays time, he would be up for attemoted murder or something criminal. God would tell you to do something and would also place his power in you, so you know that it is God telling you. I have been told by God to do certain things which were very tough yo do at the time and I followed through and it wasnt all roses, it was so hard to get through it all but I made it.
@@patrickmba7638 Rather than being like Abraham who did all that God asked or told him to do I am more like the father who had faith enough to take his sick or dying son to Christ and asked him to heal the boy. Christ said "do you believe that I can heal him"? The man said "ye Lord I believe. Help thou mine unbelief" (he felt weak and unsure).
amazing, I'm praying rn to be stronger in my fear of God, in my obedience

Wow from Colorado Springs to Tennessee. That must be something. Praise God for your obedience. God bless you.

Woah. I pray to get at that level of faithfulness. Right now, my human mind can't even comprehend this tye/level of faith (yet)
Christian’s need to stop overthinking it in Jesus name
Trust and follow and obey God in Jesus name amen
🙏
I want to have this courage again, to obey the Lord regardless
Not only was it the fear of God, but also the faith Abraham had in God, knowing that He is a faithful God. Regardless of what the why is, knowing that God is good and righteous. Every single thing He does is for a good reason.
I pray that God will release us from Colorado Springs almost daily! And here we are, no fellowship, no church, no friends....
HIS WILL, NOT OURS!
Hallelujah. Amen
Praise God!

go, what do you mean
@@LanguageBLOX1_Alt means to go or leave the place where you were and trust God to direct you even as He did Abraham

I believe Abraham believed that God could raise Isaac from the dead. So, it was not fear. It was faith.

Wow

Let's clarify that Abraham did not end up sacrificing his son.
I should think any self respecting person who ever picked up a Bible or stepped into a church knows that. 😀
Don’t forget Moses. He argued with God a fair bit of times!
Abraham did reason though.
Hebrews 11:19
Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

Deceptive title, he didn't sell his " dream home" he said he left a home and moved to his dream home?
Nope. The dream home was in Colorado, from where they moved to Tennessee.
Fun fact: Isaac was 65 years old when that sacrifice was to happen... Aging was a slow process 🙏
Where do you see that? Because that does not sound right. He was 40 when his mother, Sarah, died & he got married. So...
@@singingwindrider9881 You are correct! He was 37 actually....I stand corrected and hopefully anyone reading this will see. Jacob was 65 when he deceived Isaac for the birthright/blessing of Esau
Really? I thought he was more in his teenage years when God spoke to Abraham about it.
I get this and I believe we should listen to God, but the terrifying part is wondering if it’s God im hearing or not
Absolutely! We all need to get to the place where we can clearly discern his voice.
Sorry John I disagree with you about Abraham not knowing why he had to sacrifice Isaac, God had shown Abraham what was coming through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ his only son
Hm...

I understand the mans point but I dont have any interest in trying to live up to the same faithfulness test that Abraham faced.
😀. You realise it's not exactly up to us the tests that lie in our different paths?
