This town located only 7 min ride on small boat from our place. My mom as a child used to come over there with her classmates to visit the beautiful Oak Grove. Or this town called Zaton was amazing! Active and alive...

It isn't a rural Russia, these are abandoned places...those who wanted, have left them for better life and coditions....It's their choice....They have food and place to live in...In your countries a lot of people live in the streets ..and their living conditions are much worse than of those you have seen...The author of these films is deliberetely hiding the reasons of their miserable conditions. Some of them are drug addict, some don't want to work and there are such one's who never worked. The author isn't saying truth, she is simply lying ...to make you think that this is rural Russia .They either never work or are alcoholics and drugassistent. Why don't you take care of your beggars sleeping on the ground without any shelter, are blind ?????

I’m a filipino but live here in Russia for a decade. Most of this elders especially grannies even the Government made them a new flats ..new relocation area but still they won’t like to move in. And I’ve witnessed that many times . They even let those people sent by the government to convince them to move to there new home . To go away nor protest at them.

I wish to see you took mercy on the loving cat. It's not that hard to bring invermectin and some food to this loving cat. Would advance your channel greatly, something so small to uplift the spirits and say, misery is banished. Maybe then able bodied people would also start to take some pride, remove rubbish, create mulch piles to build their gardens up higher. Everything is already there but for a bit of kindness and inspiration.

@@Mrskojak13 situation is really different in Russia. I've lived there for 7 years. It's not easy to just *go and help*. People living in rural areas barely able to feed themselves let alone feed pets or strays. But strays breeding like crazy because they're.. well .. strays.. At the very least there is no law implemented to curb and kill harmless wild animals there for "population control" but due to that the number of cats and dogs increase uncontrollably at times only to ultimately succumb to starvation, weather and nature. You talk about donations. These people can't even afford to set up an international payment system as they're restricted financially, have no time as they need to fill their plates and they have no internet access as well which is key to accessing international financial aid, if any at all(remember how I said they barely can feed themselves). Only when you live in a place as poverty stricken such as in this video will you realise survival and wellbeing of anything other than yourself is secondary. Everyone hates to see suffering but we can't help everyone.

It wasn't in any way offensive or insensitive towards the situation there and I appreciate engaging light hearted exchange of opinions as it provides me with views from other perspectives. Also, just to clarify, my initial post was actually aimed at the OP so it wasn't by any way or means confrontational to you, if at all.
Regarding your question, if the current regime were to fall and the Russians ultimately leans west with recovered economy and no further sanctions and the new government deciding to implement some sort of financial aid or plan for the lower income. At best, there will be little to no improvement in their living conditions as the socioeconomic gap of the Russian people is too large to improve upon in the short term.
The thing you need to understand is that the Russian people lived through one of the most horrible times in human history under communism, socialism and direct dictatorship. They've been through multiple famine and harsh living conditions. The ones that survived are able to adapt very well no matter how limited the resources they have and the adaptability and mindset has sort of passed down to the newer generations as well, especially the middle and lower class. Most of the expensive traditional russian food consists of ingredients like beef and pork which aren't even considered luxury if compared to most modern countries and even their higher class meals consist mostly of food mainly consumed in the middle to lower class as well. Hence, they can easily accept any reality, even bad ones. Even if they have to compromise on cheaper daily meals as seen on the post sanction videos here. They readily believe in their government, never questioning them, even the obvious propaganda as they've lived through times like this almost all their lives and most of them are used and comfortable for this being the norm. Thats why you don't see widespread protests against the war despite their population suffering financially and having to accept lower quality of life due to the sanctions. But I'm deviating towards politics so I digress.
The point being, until Russia opens up to western and international exposure, nothing much will change and might even worsen under the current regime. Even so, there's light in any darkness. From my years living there, aside from the hooligans and skinheads. I've experienced one of the best hospitality from a foreign country while living there. The russians willingly share and give even if they aren't secure financially. Despite the current economic crisis the citizens are facing, I'm sure there are people and pet lovers who still try their best to ensure their pets and strays have their basic food needs met, albeit and unfortunately, sometimes even with leftovers or bones. But at the very least, the strays, like their owners, are able to survive another day.

If one cat like that, which is so loving, is valued, given medicine and food the whole town will start to wake up from their cold slumber and likewise begin to help out all the other people. Sometimes it takes only the small steps to get the ball rolling. CLM (cat lives matter)

Hello! Thank you for watching our videos! The poverty is a huge problem in places like that. Ussr was different life. Most people used to earn money in equal amounts and the gap between social layers was not that big. Corona is still a problem. But not that bad as it was in winter. Most people stop wearing mask no lockdown.

I first went to Russia in 1994 and 4 or 5 times a year until 2010. I think I saw the legacy of the USSR. People were not impoverished then but they were not wallowing in wealth either. They did face some difficulties at times but overall it was stable. Todays Russia is the opposite but certainly better than the 1990s in which Russia was totally impoverished. Say what you will about Putin. I will give credit where it is due. Russia is still changing though and this is an example of the bad side.
I felt so bad not only for the people but the cat as well.

In the USA we have many cities or small towns that are in poor conditions. It's unbelievable that people struggle and no one tries to do improvements. The government does not handle money correctly nor the cities. Just want to tear down and build new. Then those people cannot afford the rents.

Jokes aside, I think it is incredibly sad, that people have to live under such circumstances, not worthy a pig even, in a country so rich in natural resources and educated, talented people. I love Russia, and I speak their language, which I also love. But I HATE their politics.

I am curious about why so many buildings were built in an area that seems to flood often? Is the flooding worse now because of climate change? I live near a river in Canada and serious flooding is definitely more common now and has caused damage to homes, but not as dramatic as this.
