They actually miss him a lot in this game but toward the end he gets killed really quickly by the guards and wielding the Vortessence itself of all things lol

Quick tip: You dont need to carry around a canister of those healing bug guys with you everywhere. There will 100% always be one near a healing station, which lets you carry around a syringe and a grenade to reload your grenade launcher.
4 episodes and im still screaming pls drop the canister. The funny part is he knows that he doesnt use it but still keeps it and yells not enough inventory.

Jack, it’s a lot more “janky” because now you’re rushing. Before you were taking your time to get used to it and now that you’re used to it, you’re moving your hands and trying to do things much faster. Slow down when trying to pick things up and throw things, etc...

Too true. VR games don't have the precision yet to be treated exactly like real life, so he should just slow down a little. Also, it's really hard to focus on any one thing because he keeps moving the goddamn camera way to quickly.
he still dosent flick his wrist when using the gloves, instead hes moving his whole arm which seems to work most times luckily. those gloves are actually very accurate if u use them correctly im very happy with the game so far no real issues on my end at all.
This video gave me flashbacks to that time I tried coke. All kidding aside, he was much more manic and seemed to be taking the game less seriously in this vid than the previous ones.
But the game demands it more now than it was, in the beginning.
Jack, don’t worry about the camera. The turning on the controller is was worse than you not looking a the camera for 30 secs. Just play the game

Turtle Toots turning with the controller is a lot nicer for the person playing the game, at least it was like that for me playing with my limited space

Jack, you can actually use items to deflect headcrabs when they jump.

I saw someone in a video deflect a headcrab with a chair, the headcrab got stuck to the chair and then they threw the chair into the window
Or just grab them in mid-air then shoot at the headcrab you're now holding at point-blank range.
I think a big part of the issue is trying to get out of the mindset of how you would normally play a game. Many people wouldn't think to do that because you normally can't in games, at least not well enough.
I bet playing the game a few times through would allow a person to get a better grasp on it.
@@SilvyReacts ive been thinking the exact same thing watching Jack play Alyx, theres a lot of ways you can do stuff in this game that most games dont let you. deflecting headcrabs, dynamic coverby pulling objects to you to hide behind etc. I guess, like Jack was saying in the last video, hopefully half life Alyx will sort of turn around the market for VR games and innovation in VR.
Jack knowing he could grab head-crabs mid-air would've been real useful during this stage... also car doors can be opened and can be used as adaptive cover

The grenade launcher upgrade isn't that bad, because the grenades explode on impact instead of a timer
Yeah this upgrade is really usefull it also allows you to store one more grenade
Yes but wasting 40 resins this early (I think game gives you much more in further chapters) before even pistol's extended magazine was bad I think. I also think all the reflex sights are so useless if you know the weak spots. Laser sights and extended ammos of pistol and SMG are awesome. Also auto-loader for shotgun. And only then, the grenade launcher 'cuz you are in VR you can precisely throw where you want and you can cook that before throw.

Jack, You can kill stuff using environmental stuff, like pans and chairs to kill enemies. It's usually effective against headcrabs. You can also put buckets on headcrabs.

I always saved before an upgrade and tried the upgrades. Shotgun laser sight (duh) and pistol burst fire (too much recoil) were also disappointing. Best upgrades in order imo (if you know about weak spots):
-Pistol laser sight
-Pistol extended magazine
-Shotgun auto-loader
-SMG laser sight
-SMG extended magazine
-Shotgun grenade launcher
But everyone gets the useless reflex sights firstly for the weak spots (heads, zombie green spots, combine gas tank) which are obvious. I finished my game with these upgrades and I had 200+ pistol, 300+ smg, 50+ shotgun ammo at the final chapter.

Jack you're taking things too quick. Take your time, thoroughly explore each environment, each room, you don't need to be so hasty. You are missing a lot of resources in your rush, if you take your time you can enjoy the details of the world. If you spent an ENTIRE episode in ONE room looking around I'd be infinitely more happy as long as I felt you had rifled through every nook and cranny. We all are loving this series, so we don't want you to end it sooner thinking that things are getting boring for us. :/

Shooter games usually have like 30 grenades in their grenade launcher, so yeah. Maybe tehy fire 1 at a time but the 'clip' or 'magazine' usually holds a lot of grenades. Imagine playing Doom and only having 1 grenade, wtf.
The point of the grenade launcher upgrade is that 1. you can basically hold 1 extra grenade and 2. it removes the cooldown between throwing the grenade and the explosion.

I thought they were just super headcrabs, but how the fuck do hound eyes and headcrabs breed? Let alone headcrabs breeding in general? Don’t answer that.
@@TheONLYFeli0 Theyre not headcarbs, houndeyes, or Hybrids of either. Theyre simply different species.
@@peasaladdeluxe6392 i think they might be experimental headcrabs modified by the Combine, but were too hard to make so they were never employed in combat alongside soldiers. (Only a few escaped labs.)
My main reasoning is that they enter through a zombie's chest cavity made by a headcrab, but only once the headcrab is gone. It seems too specific to be natural. In the wilds of Xen, I don't think a separate species would evolve that way.
Plus, lightning blasts coming from an expendable trooper who can be produced only using a corpse and a headcrab... seems like the type of tech the combine, or any military for that matter, would want.
