Wow I've been confused for a while now, since july of 07. I miss my native ways, I'm a proud Cheyenne female Marine. Sometimes I get lost in the service, being around different races and peoplem I feel strange. I know where I come from and who I am. I joined the Marines to honor my loved ones who have fought and served before me, my elders, brothers and sisters. This video was very comforting for me, I appreciate your time you gave to share this with the youtube community.

Just visited the Pyramid Lake, Paiute Native American reservation in Northern Nevada. It was very beautiful. An elder Native named Ralph gave me a brief history lesson about the place and no i'm thinking he'd be perfect on this video!! Haha! Words of wisdom. Apache Pride, Native Nation!!!

We cry and cry and try to teach.... it is only with pain, through pain one comes to knowledge. Peace dear one. You have touched me and taught me today. Thank you.

Beautiful messages, a people of humility, kindness, respect for all, mother earth and Grandfather (the Great Spirit). I believe Native Americans are the true Christians which God placed on earth to show us that it was and is possible to live in harmony and peace amongst each other. Love and respect to you all!
I am Sicangu Lakota living in dallas texas. Many people don't know about what we as Lakota people have known since our beginning of our people on this earth. There is so much I now know, that you would re-think your being here as we are spiritual beings on a human journey. This is not the real life. This is one life we take. How we live it we take with us in the next one.
What Nathan Chasing Horse said about a Man becoming a Warrior is when cries because then he learns compassion reminded me of Mahatma Gandhi who said that men should pray to become more womanly. they were kind of on the same wavelength there. Beautiful !
The way Native Americans connect their lives to the Earth is beautiful.... I'am Hispanic but i think deep down inside somewhere there is some Native Culture in me that helps me understand what all the Native Americans went and still go through everyday. I've got friends who are Native American and they sometimes tell me stories of their culture, and i sometimes think about how it would've been if America was still occupied by only the American Indian. They truly are beautiful people in my eyes.
Thank You Wisdom Keepers for passing messages to the people. Very wise and true in these times. You have put words of Wisdom out there for everyone to Embrace, hopefully they will. It seems so simple, Love, Unity, Family, Respect, help each other where is needed, bring the puzzle pieces together, but it needs to be done soon. Restore what was given to us in the beginning. Aloha! Nai'a
I thank you all for sharing parts of yourselves speaking words of wisdom, I absorbed everything, I am gifted, I understand. Thank you for this wonderful video.... Grandfather Wallace Black Elk was an amazing teacher, a truly Spiritual Man.... David Swallow Jnr and Nathan Chasing Horse are in the same mould.... humble, spiritual, they speak the truth and walk the good red road in a good way.
This is nice to see on RUclips. I am only part Cherokee, but have formerly studied religions at university. I was taught about native heritage, customs, and rites which were directly drawn from the Lakota/Oglala from Black Elk. The book we used in class was The Sacred Pipe: Black Elk's Account of the Seven Rites of the Oglala Sioux as mostly translated by his grandson Benjamin Black Elk and recorded by Joseph Epes Brown. So there are some universities that teach to preserve and cherish.
Being a warrior is staying your good person no matter what pain you face and standing up no matter what people think. I listen to my heart. Creator teaches you inside. You don't need to follow other people. Creator talks in our hearts. Anything done out side of love is not a good thing. If it's not love, it's wrong. That's is me being a warrior. Find your way. Be good to each other. All my relations. Thank you.
Being a warrior is learning how to cry 😭 Because when a man cry's then he's learning understanding. Because when a man cries compassion starts to grow.
That is a very great point. That's why there is so much fighting among us. I notice many people who preach the Bible are very righteous and pious which is suppose to be the exact opposite of the entire point in following a power higher than ones self. I think that the native's values are so powerful because they reflect a respect for creation above all else. The tone of their voices are so peaceful when they speak; you feel like you have encountered someone of deep spirit.

What he says at the end about "the future" being the afterlife. And there being a beautiful afterlife is true. I can confirm this. I know this. If you ask me know, i may be able to tell you but for this knowledge of truth there seems to be no words that can resonate with the entire mesage. Be well here and now. Be still. Just be my family. When I was eleven, one of my Native American mentors told me this;life is like a river. The Old World story about the raindrops joining to make a rivulet, then a stream, then a creek, then a river and finally ending up in a lake or ocean was a good one,he said. But he meant from one side of the river to the other. When we are born, our spirit steps off one bank and onto a stepping stone,in the river. There are many stepping stones. And there are many paths across the river.Sometimes you are crossing---
Words from "Squanto..." movie: - My friends! In the world there are many people with all kinds of customs and beliefs, speaking many languages but there is only one moon, one sun, one Mother Earth and there is only one tribe. Lets live together in peace!... I wish people understand these words and never, ever forget about it. Especially nowadays...
I also think it's amazing and great that the Lakota people turned down the money offered to them for compensation for illegally taking their sacred land. They took their sacred land and carved the faces of their leaders in the mountains there. I can't even imagine the desecration and pain that made. What have the Native American's done to deserve this but be on their own land and try to keep their way of life and culture? Theirs no equal for what was done to them.
wow this is a great video...it describes a lot of why the American civilization is how it is, economic depression, world war 3, and many others to come...climate change/nature's rebellion, etc.
@Shadoweyes636 I feel the same...I am white but was born in Salamanca...the only city on a reservation. I feel I was born here because my spirit is Native...there is a different feel to native land...when I am there it feels like I am home. I feel a kinship with the native american people. I have a friend who puts it this way...I am white but my heart is Native American in my heart.
Thank you, Teachers of Wisdom. I learned this word: In Lak-Ech. I hope to learn more before I deserve to become one with the wise people. I am a Grandmother of 63. But I need to learn a lot still.
Living off or on the reservation does not make one better or less than who we are. I am still Lakota, wherever I am on this Grandmother Earth. We all can Harmonize with Taku Wakan, wherever we are IN OUR PRAYER. You too, need money to survive in these modern days, even on the reservation. Nathan's directed by Wakan Tanka, not a human being. OUR LAKOTA WAY OF LIFE IS MAINLY ABOUT COMPASSION, HUMBLENESS.. Look in your own heart. We can heal ourselves as a People. The Suffering is everywhere.
@SARAYSOUNDS We are all sharing this long eternal journey of life. Being a Human Being is part of it. We are put here to help each other, not to hurt, or go to war with each other. This is a place to learn more about how to come closer to Our Creator. It is not about competition of who can pray better than the other. The prayer is personal between yourself and the Creator. We are all equal when we give thanks to our Creator for the breath of Life. Yet saying it with good thoughts, and feelings..
@TrixieTrickx Yes, thank you for your comment. Nyla, her mother, and daughter do speak, and I do not have them on video yet. I have been busy at film school, and there is so much to learn and ways to do video. However, I plan on working on that in the future. I know how important the Female voice is in this world. The Females are still considered the Center of the Family, and Tribe means Family. Mothers and givers of Life, just as this Grand Mother Earth, Ocean, and Universe.
The mind of the human creates reason and rationality. We talk to ourselves in our mind. When we speak a truth it comes from our heart, that connects us to the nature in creation. We can get their through our emotions that are combined with mind. heart, body, emotion, and spirit. Not only one of our elements .
I believe there is a good and bad way to live that affects us as a human being. If you are bad and do bad things, I believe you poison yourself in the end. If you are good and have compassion and help others then you are also helping yourself. I believe we are what we do, action always speaks louder than words. The bible says we are known by our fruits, whether it be bad or good, people can judge us by what fruit we produce.
True, my friend, but it is also so difficult to understand and listen among all these noisy, fake ideals sorrounding us..I am very close to the truth but so far away too. Need some help, thank you for sharing your vision! Pilamaye yelo..
have come a long way, we have many shades and varieties and tastes, its not just one cut and dry thing, lets show the diversity... even moreso than just the outside stuff, inside, i think my body is happier when i take the Dong Quai, I sometimes can have a tendency just to not totally fulfill little every day things and stuff, but being better about it, actually does help me in the art of my life, and vision. while im not trying to be some
What a loving video and beautiful philosophies. We could all learn something from these teachings. Wishing everyone much peace and awareness during these times of change. Keeping teaching and sharing your words young man and new generations of goodness can spawn and flourish in loving ways. A special thanks to vtxrider3 for sharing this with me. Mark
@clemnext I agree with the Wisdom Keepers, they put their messages out there for people to have an awareness of what needs to be done in life to restore what has been forgotten, bring back love in the families, spend time with children and help them on their way. Who am I? I'm someone who cares about all the unfortunate people whom others turn their head from helping. As for your homie, I have no idea what you are talking about. Thank you for having respect for women. Aloha! Nai'a
@MrVal99 Yes, but I do not have the time right now. Grandpa Wallace talks in words similar to Chinese proverbs. The individual needs to take those words and think about first, then use your heart and feel the words balanced with the thoughts. Dave talks in words that are from his personal thoughts and feelings of his connection to 'Creation.' And Nathan speaks from the heart of a Lakota Warrior. They are all Wisdom Keepers, and carry their Powerful Visions to the World. .
I also feel connected to the trees, the water, the sun, the ants...the bees. My drum is my most important belonging. And I am just white person wearing glasses, living in a city, but would love to take care of a piece of land with trees and water, the natural way.
Could you please show how to put my video response, and linking it to one of your videos. as you suggested? I don't know enough about RUclips, and I don't have much time to research the things that can be done on it. Thank you for your response. Nick Halsey
Real prayers to our Creator is not about which human thinks they pray better than another person, because they belong to a better Religion or Spirituality. It is not about competition in prayer. It is about praying from your whole being and giving thanks for the breath of life, for example.
each of us is on their own journey, we just need to define, where we want to end up. and that sure ain't easy in a crazy world. and the answers aren't in any book ( HUMAN BEINGS ) learn the right path to travel, as they get wiser
@MrVal99 You are right, we are part of the Nature of all things Created by One Creator. We call the GREAT MYSTERY OF LIFE., in Lakota we say Wakan Tonka. You are feeling your traditional tribal heritage of being from ONE TRIBE, OUR GRANDMOTHER EARTH. We are created equal to all living things, and we are all no further from our souls,. than we are from our breath of LIFE.
When you dance in our Lakota Way do you dance with anger, fear, or hatred? Do you dance with the people, or for yourself? Grandpa told me , "Watch what you say, think about it at least 4 times, before you say it., or don't say it." It is obvious where your words come from....is it your heart or your mind.? Nathan was given a gift from our Creator, Taku Wakan. (Your Mother knows.) No human can take that away. Just as no human cannot take away the fact that you are your mother's son.
>>it's just the way it is. You are intertwined with ALL of Life. So everything you do has consequences. But not all consequences are "bad"; it depends on what you do and WHY you do it. Your INTENTION is the force that drives your actions, so if you're not clear about WHY you do what you do, then the consequences that follow will also seem chaotic. But if you are clear about your intentions, then the consequences that follow will make sense. But there's no need to dwell on these things or get>>

Dead Balls accurate. EMotion leads to everything, everything.
@TrixieTrickx
Yes, thank you for your comment.
Thumbs up. This Earth is a motel room along the way of the journey we are on.
have come a long way, we have many shades and varieties and tastes, its not just one cut and dry thing, lets show the diversity... even moreso than just the outside stuff, inside, i think my body is happier when i take the Dong Quai, I sometimes can have a tendency just to not totally fulfill little every day things and stuff, but being better about it, actually does help me in the art of my life, and vision. while im not trying to be some
Yeah....the lesson sure came to nathan chasing horse
I honestly don't want to end my life without knowing some (not all lol) of these extraordinary people !
Mark
Beautiful words and they are so true.
Excellent words to live by.
thanks for posting... great vid.
Aloha! Nai'a
My prayers are with you. Nick
This is so inspirational and true!
I know a white woman, widow of a Lakota chief. I have learned much from her, and my first published work was in Diné.
Thanks for sharing....
that's awesome peace ,love,respect..
They are all Wisdom Keepers, and carry their Powerful Visions to the World. .
Mitakuye Oyasin, means All My Relations. Which means all Creation, not only humans. Yet our Four Colors also means the Four Races.
I also feel connected to the trees, the water, the sun, the ants...the bees. My drum is my most important belonging. And I am just white person wearing glasses, living in a city, but would love to take care of a piece of land with trees and water, the natural way.
Wonderful! Thank you for this video...keep making them!
Could you please show how to put my video response, and linking it to one of your videos. as you suggested? I don't know enough about RUclips, and I don't have much time to research the things that can be done on it.
Thank you for your response. Nick Halsey
Powerful if you listen with your heart 🥰
@eyespottedeagle thanks for your responce... i think you very much care ... i send my love
Thank you
@MrVal99 You are right, we are part of the Nature of all things Created by One Creator.
Thank you for your wisdom - most appreciated
Great video! :)
Very interesting material.
>>it's just the way it is.
But there's no need to dwell on these things or get>>
Beautiful.
Thanks im always learning
