    My Relative,
This is why I will continue to make documentaries and films.
I am still in Film//Video school, but I have been doing getting Our Lakota Elders for 10 years with professional cameramen, and producer, directors. I have been holding back and waiting for the Spirit to direct me.
When it is time I will make the best Native American film from the Spirit. I am a natural common man. Nick

"Being a warrior isn't about taking Lives. Being a warrior isn't about showing strength. Being a warrior is not showing how much knowledge you have. Being a warrior is LEARNING HOW TO CRY. bcause when a man cries learns how to understand. Because when a man cries, compassion starts to grow." Let us memorize this and, during this time of lent, ask ourselves this: Wasn't Jesus this type of warrior? The answer is that he was. May he form us into true warriors by his tears, his death and most importantly his resurrection.

Wow I've been confused for a while now, since july of 07. I miss my native ways, I'm a proud Cheyenne female Marine. Sometimes I get lost in the service, being around different races and peoplem I feel strange. I know where I come from and who I am. I joined the Marines to honor my loved ones who have fought and served before me, my elders, brothers and sisters. This video was very comforting for me, I appreciate your time you gave to share this with the youtube community.

The way Native Americans connect their lives to the Earth is beautiful.... I'am Hispanic but i think deep down inside somewhere there is some Native Culture in me that helps me understand what all the Native Americans went and still go through everyday. I've got friends who are Native American and they sometimes tell me stories of their culture, and i sometimes think about how it would've been if America was still occupied by only the American Indian. They truly are beautiful people in my eyes.

This is nice to see on RUclips. I am only part Cherokee, but have formerly studied religions at university. I was taught about native heritage, customs, and rites which were directly drawn from the Lakota/Oglala from Black Elk. The book we used in class was The Sacred Pipe: Black Elk's Account of the Seven Rites of the Oglala Sioux as mostly translated by his grandson Benjamin Black Elk and recorded by Joseph Epes Brown. So there are some universities that teach to preserve and cherish.

Being a warrior is staying your good person no matter what pain you face and standing up no matter what people think. I listen to my heart. Creator teaches you inside. You don't need to follow other people. Creator talks in our hearts. Anything done out side of love is not a good thing. If it's not love, it's wrong. That's is me being a warrior. Find your way. Be good to each other. All my relations. Thank you.

That is a very great point. That's why there is so much fighting among us. I notice many people who preach the Bible are very righteous and pious which is suppose to be the exact opposite of the entire point in following a power higher than ones self. I think that the native's values are so powerful because they reflect a respect for creation above all else. The tone of their voices are so peaceful when they speak; you feel like you have encountered someone of deep spirit.

I also think it's amazing and great that the Lakota people turned down the money offered to them for compensation for illegally taking their sacred land. They took their sacred land and carved the faces of their leaders in the mountains there. I can't even imagine the desecration and pain that made. What have the Native American's done to deserve this but be on their own land and try to keep their way of life and culture? Theirs no equal for what was done to them.

This is a place to learn more about how to come closer to Our Creator. It is not about competition of who can pray better than the other. The prayer is personal between yourself and the Creator. We are all equal when we give thanks to our Creator for the breath of Life. Yet saying it with good thoughts, and feelings..

The mind of the human creates reason and rationality. We talk to ourselves in our mind. When we speak a truth it comes from our heart, that connects us to the nature in creation. We can get their through our emotions that are combined with mind. heart, body, emotion, and spirit. Not only one of our elements .

  • @dana8567
    @dana8567 14 лет назад

I believe there is a good and bad way to live that affects us as a human being. If you are bad and do bad things, I believe you poison yourself in the end. If you are good and have compassion and help others then you are also helping yourself. I believe we are what we do, action always speaks louder than words. The bible says we are known by our fruits, whether it be bad or good, people can judge us by what fruit we produce.

@MrVal99 Yes, but I do not have the time right now. Grandpa Wallace talks in words similar to Chinese proverbs. The individual needs to take those words and think about first, then use your heart and feel the words balanced with the thoughts. Dave talks in words that are from his personal thoughts and feelings of his connection to 'Creation.' And Nathan speaks from the heart of a Lakota Warrior. They are all Wisdom Keepers, and carry their Powerful Visions to the World. .

Could you please show how to put my video response, and linking it to one of your videos. as you suggested? I don't know enough about RUclips, and I don't have much time to research the things that can be done on it.
Thank you for your response. Nick Halsey

Real prayers to our Creator is not about which human thinks they pray better than another person, because they belong to a better Religion or Spirituality. It is not about competition in prayer. It is about praying from your whole being and giving thanks for the breath of life, for example.

each of us is on their own journey, we just need to define, where we want to end up. and that sure ain't easy in a crazy world. and the answers aren't in any book ( HUMAN BEINGS ) learn the right path to travel, as they get wiser

@MrVal99 You are right, we are part of the Nature of all things Created by One Creator. We call the GREAT MYSTERY OF LIFE., in Lakota we say Wakan Tonka. You are feeling your traditional tribal heritage of being from ONE TRIBE, OUR GRANDMOTHER EARTH. We are created equal to all living things, and we are all no further from our souls,. than we are from our breath of LIFE.

When you dance in our Lakota Way do you dance with anger, fear, or hatred? Do you dance with the people, or for yourself? Grandpa told me , "Watch what you say, think about it at least 4 times, before you say it., or don't say it." It is obvious where your words come from....is it your heart or your mind.? Nathan was given a gift from our Creator, Taku Wakan. (Your Mother knows.) No human can take that away. Just as no human cannot take away the fact that you are your mother's son.

    >>it's just the way it is. You are intertwined with ALL of Life. So everything you do has consequences. But not all consequences are "bad"; it depends on what you do and WHY you do it. Your INTENTION is the force that drives your actions, so if you're not clear about WHY you do what you do, then the consequences that follow will also seem chaotic. But if you are clear about your intentions, then the consequences that follow will make sense.
But there's no need to dwell on these things or get>>
