Braddon for me is the highlight of Summernats. It's so good to see such nice cars all on the street and not only surrounded by drunk fu*kwits. They should however allow all cars to cruise Lonsdale, not only entrants. Nice vid!
Ok entrants cruise. I couldn't work out how unregisterable race / competition cars were driving on a public road. Cheers
If it was opened up it will out of control. Too many people who are after their 2 minutes of social media fame. It is only selected entrants that have to apply before the event. The 3 blown cars were on special permits for the event.
Brings back memories of the good ol' days when we used to cruise Northbourne Ave.
Yeah it’s all changed with the development and trams etc
reminds me of the good days in canberra when i lived there in the 70's and 80's seeing alot of the older modelcars driving the streets

I love Summernats. It has come a long way since 1996. God bless Chick Henry. I was in my teens and lived in Ainslie and used to ride my bike to the show, go home for lunch and return in the afternoon and into the evening. Some of the early experiences were wild! I am a Gong boy and now live is Tas. Love your stuff and would be humbled to meet you (as I once did with Chick who was a great bloke).
Maybe one day our paths will cross.

Also couldn’t tell what model you arrived in. Either a VK, or a VH with VK side mirrors, but the dash looked more like VK 😅
