They provide everyone with a life vest, fins, goggles, and snorkel. They also do a tutorial on how to swim/snorkel on the way out. They’re always watching from the boat in case someone is struggling, too. We felt like the key was realizing that you’re floating moreso than swimming. To snorkel, your body has to be horizontal in the water. Hope that helps!
What company did you guys use for the snorkeling tour? My fiance and I are headed that way in the next couple weeks and are trying to find a company to use and I think I missed the name of it if it was in the video? Loved the video, thanks for the info!!
We wanted to snorkel at John Pennekamp a couple of months ago, but they were not doing any charters on the days that we were there. We did visit the beach though! We got to scuba dive one day on our trip to key largo. The reef is beautiful!
Oh no! We were actually surprised our charter didn't get cancelled with the wind and waves. Unfortunately, it seemed to make the reef just a little cloudy for us. Did you get to scuba dive near the Christ of the Abyss Statue?? We were really hoping that would be our snorkel spot!
