I agree Julie, I like to see the whole thing! I love sitting watching your videos and listening to you talk. I always feel like I’m sitting with a group of friends listening together. :)
Huni we are always our own worst critics. I think it look like a new bloom that only not long opened or as u said, not quite fully bloomed but it looks like u meant to do that. I really see what u were going for but I still really really love it. For your first time at doing that sorta pattern, pat yourself on your back lovely lady u did a very beautiful piece of Artwork! Love it❤🎉
This is stunning! I like the effect of the metallic gray. It looks very organic, like a real dahlia. I think I would try to add the tiniest bit of dry brushing in silver or white to the edges of the numbers to make them stand out more.
Sweet Julie.......this clock is beautiful and the colours remind me of an ocean blue in the middle then stones and white water flowing over....I think you did an excellent job of this and I do agree the silver or white numbers would look great and then black hands...gorgeous....Love Gramma Donna
Yes, there are many colored pastes, but you can also color white paste using resin DYE (*not* ink!). It is often used to create the "cloud effect". Just run a search on colored resin paste...should get a lot of hits. They're not cheap, but last forever.
I love how this turned out! I agree with you that silver would be pretty. I do like the center petals, too, though. They look very natural. You do beautiful work, Julie. Thanks for showing us. Happy Pouring!!!
Julie, It looks fabulous! Not everything has to be perfect or the same as previous. I like the uniqueness. It is like a close up of a flower center in the middle.
Wow this looks amazing and I actually love the metallic petals as well it looks beautiful like the smaller center petals and then larger outside petals! Very pretty!
The grey ink makes that section look like lace!! Its very cool!! Its easier to see the lace on the back, but when you took the camera up close, the lace effect can still be seen thru the petals.
Julie the whole thing is stunning - I really love the idea of silver numbers and hands on this one. I never fast forward your videos. I also like them in their entirety.
I really like the center, it looks like lace!! Can’t wait to see the front. I think I have the brand you used and I had a similar experience with the separation of the alcohol. Either way it’s beautiful!you are so talented and I really enjoy your videos!
It came out beautifully. I think the middle is a nice contrast tothe more open flow of the outer petals, and almost makes look like a carnation style flower in the center. the black numbers are a nice contrast as well.
Gorgeous!! I'm so sorry the mettalic ink didn't work the way you wanted. I think it still looks fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing. Good luck with your studio workers.
its pretty! Ive also found that metallic alcohol inks dont particularly care for flamed heat. it either burns off and causes that almost sandy looking texture or the flame is too hot and does the same thing! It might work okay with a heat gun on low though.
I love it. At my age, I am afraid I would have a hard time seeing the numbers. Your suggestion of pouring silver for the numbers would be my preference. However, regardless of my eyesight, the entire piece is stunning. Again, I love it.
I anything the entire video too. From start to finish 😉 I can't really reuse my gloves. My hands are quite large and I wear my nails long. So when I take them off they turn inside out
Hi, I like it a lot! I, too, think the nib is stopping the movement. Maybe starting the petals a little further away from the nib and let them stretch towards the nib just like the outer petals stretch. Add something around the nib to fill in any left over space. But to me this one looks like a real flower! Very nice
Actually, I love how the petals in the metallic area look more natural like they are freshly open in the morning after a dewy night. I think it's beautiful 😍
I’m wondering if that ink in the centre stopped the resin from blooming? Also, I think the black backing coat is too much because you can’t see the black numbers clearly. I’m thinking maybe a red background and red clock hands, or red numbers/clock hands. This clock bloom process is a real challenge it seems. I admire your persistence Julie. 🌺🌴
I like it, Julie! It's really nice. 👍😊 I'm sorry the metallic alc. ink let you down, though. I have never seen white paste behave that way in normal alcohol inks, so...it could definitely be the problem. Would love to see the one you're describing the one you want to make, with black glass, silver numbers and hands. Ooooh! P.S. Love the long videos! 😊❤
I’m really curious why it keeps doing that near the center. It is very curious indeed. The inks do push away from that nib so I figure some blooming would be stifled I just hope it is the ink and not some weird thing with the nubs. It looks great on the outside still, beautifully bloomed! I like your idea of monochromatic coloring! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Julie.....beautiful as always. Maybe it's just my family's perspective watching the vids on t.v. (and acknowledging that you had this idea in mind for monochromatic) but the black numbers seem hard to see with blackish/gray transparent background. Perhaps the numbers could have been gold or copper. That would have been STUNNING!! 😁😁

Very good ❤️❤️❤️
Big like ❤️👍👍
Amazing & beautiful art tutorial.
Great upload friend
I'm binge watching your videos. I've wanted to work with resin for a long time. I absolutely love your flowers.
Honestly? I find the inner part the most badass! The whole thing is just gorgeous but my favorite part is definitely the middle!! :D
This is stunning! I like the effect of the metallic gray. It looks very organic, like a real dahlia. I think I would try to add the tiniest bit of dry brushing in silver or white to the edges of the numbers to make them stand out more.

I love watching you with your pups and birds! Newbie from Canada getting some great results and tips from you. Thank you
I really like it that way because it looks like the center of the flower. I think it’s beautiful like that.
Sweet Julie.......this clock is beautiful and the colours remind me of an ocean blue in the middle then stones and white water flowing over....I think you did an excellent job of this and I do agree the silver or white numbers would look great and then black hands...gorgeous....Love Gramma Donna
To anyone willing to answer...😋 Are there pastes other than white that bloom? I don't know much about using resin but I am addicted to Julie's videos!
I don’t know but I have the same question - like can you use casting craft black or pearlescent opaque for the petals? Julie - help??
Yes, there are many colored pastes, but you can also color white paste using resin DYE (*not* ink!). It is often used to create the "cloud effect". Just run a search on colored resin paste...should get a lot of hits. They're not cheap, but last forever.
Keep in mind: white paste is heavier than a lot of colored pastes. I think metallics, in general, are lightest in weight.
@@fairyspunfibers9098 thanks😁

The grey ink makes that section look like lace!! Its very cool!! Its easier to see the lace on the back, but when you took the camera up close, the lace effect can still be seen thru the petals.
I really like it. I think it's so pretty .
Beautiful but as you said silver numbers will be much better
Thank you for sharing your experiments
I really like the way this turned out, I love the center 😍
The center looks like a beautiful lace!! Can’t wait to see it after the top coat and the big reveal!!
It's very very beautiful

I know you don’t like the Center but it is still so beautiful. When I can afford to get this mold I will. I love it.
I love that it's not all the same from outside to the center. Just beautiful!
Gorgeous!! I'm so sorry the mettalic ink didn't work the way you wanted. I think it still looks fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing. Good luck with your studio workers.
I love it I really really do.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Beautifully made! Do you sell your clocks? I love this one. God bless you and your family and furbabies
I honestly think it’s gorgeous and honestly, if you’d had the silver numbers you were mentioning it would have been perfection.
I love it. At my age, I am afraid I would have a hard time seeing the numbers. Your suggestion of pouring silver for the numbers would be my preference. However, regardless of my eyesight, the entire piece is stunning. Again, I love it.

That is gourds for me to get a good 👍
Question....she sounds very clear making me think she is not wearing a mask? How is she able to do all these pieces with no mask?
Cd be low Voc’s or good ventilation. 💁♀️
