They hold the bin in place. We get a lot of wind and during the year it will move the bins, normally we would just pull them back in line but doing this means they stay where they are meant to be
No never had any damage, we do get them moving around in the wind but we just drag them back into line. That is why I have started hitting star pickets into the A-Frame and that holds them in place all year
Hi jh when you transport the headers on the main road do you have to apply for a permit or can you just get away with the oversize sign and flashing lights?
I think some work has been done in the UK, but the main problem is the extra volume of seed/chaff. I think also the seed size difference between our black grass and JH’s rye grass is an issue. Black grass being much smaller.
The Summer's have answered the question but yer in a heavy crop they do take power around that 50-70hp range. The new ones are better with the upgraded belt design so will be interesting to see how that goes. But this is the reason they I have a larger header (Class 9) so that it has the horse power to cope with the terminator draw
Merry Christmas to you all

those storage bins that you just cleaned and parked they seem pretty lite weight do you ever have a problem with wind damage?

No don't need a permit, you do need pilots though when transporting oversize equipment with the right signs and lights
Hi John. How much hp do the terminators take from the combine, and do you think they'd work in the UK with our much heavier crops?
I think some work has been done in the UK, but the main problem is the extra volume of seed/chaff. I think also the seed size difference between our black grass and JH’s rye grass is an issue. Black grass being much smaller.
60 - 80 HP
