I have the LEDs, they didnt come with any runners. So it would have been weird to have a small tiny runner with a few pieces and the LEDs. They definitelly look amazing in person, especially because you can play around and light up the head first, then the rest of the body. For me, it was worth it, I like LEDs in gunpla.
I love the way he talks about this gundam, especially how he uses his hands to convey his ideas but its almost like he cant keep his hands off the damn thing XD
Now that this has come out. I must simply wait for my PG RX-93.

bazooka's are recoil-less due to the fact that the exhaust just goes out the back of the tube so there is very little force being applied to the bazooka itself. so no barrel recoil is needed

i think it is good the led unit addons are still on the runner, with a little bit of electronics knowledge you can build a better led system for cheap money.

People don't seem to realize that it's because of the sheer size is why the joints seem weak. If they put in ratchet joints to compensate for the weight, there wouldn't be a problem. Friction joints don't work well with large figures, and the tighter the joint, the high the risk of breakage. Unicorn's friction joints are remarkably good for it's size in PG. The only remedy for the "weak" joints is making them ratchet.
+Alissa MewMew Edit: I feel the shoulder joint started to fall cause you kept fiddling with it. You positioned it awkwardly, and it fell as a result. The first two poses of the shoulder were perfectly fine, but the next example was probably straining the joint.

I'm a tad late but the plan for the led's was *they were to come with the model*
But if you recall one of the reasons why no pg unicorn was it was gonna be too expensive to release it with full led's, and they were right..even then someone with some skill can make due with DIY led's.
They aren't they only ones who do this, look at nintendo, selling chargers separately with the new 3ds models, scraping up the savings so the initial price point is affordable while leaving some subtle hints that they might as well finish off the purchase anyway (with little price bumps so extra profit is made *WINK*)
You know what though...I canceled my pg unicorn, for 2 good reasons.

While I see why Bandai released this now, seeing as how Unicorn ended this year, and now's the perfect time to cash in, I really was hoping for a PG Nu Gundam for the past few years. I sure do hope we get one within the next few years.

I would love a PG Exia, as it is my favorite mobile suit, but the possibility of one happening is slim to none. There's no real reason to make one at this time. Also, the Nu Gundam isn't much bigger than the Unicorn. Plus, the Nu wouldn't have a transformation to deal with unless they went with the Ver. Ka. The biggest challenge a PG Nu would have is the funnels, and having a stand that could display the funnels deployed.

I love Exia to death, but just look at how people reacted to the Transient Gundam and the G-Portent. While G-Portent is based of Sakibure, they showed that Cia used 2 Exia models to make it. When those were unveiled, the gunpla community was just like "Oh look, more Exia". Just look at how many Exia models came out this past year. Including exclusives and figures, we've gotten at least 10 Exias within 12 months, with the Transient Gundam on its way. Let's hope this means we get a PG Exia, since my 1/60 Exia has its share of weight issues.

I understand that a PG Exia would be easy money for Bandai. It has multiple variants they could make for it too. There's Exia, Repair, Repair II, Repair III, Avalanche, Avalanche Dash, Trans Am, Astrea, Astrea F Type, Astrea F2 Type, Dark Matter, Amazing, Transient, and probably more too. Repair, RII, RIII, Astrea, and Amazing could all be options sets too. While its easy money for Bandai, I can't see them doing it in the near future.

I do like the LED’s but when you consider that they use batteries and switch off after a couple minutes then I don’t think it’s worth it.

It probably would have been too expensive to change the molds after they decided not to include the LED unit, or, they did it so they wouldn't have to include a separate frame with the LED unit

Hey Kak, you heard about the Hyaku Shiki ver, 2.0 MG announced? I smell a MG Mega Shiki in the future. Also, HGUC Gundam and Guncannon (Revive ver. or ver. 2.0) have been confirmed as well. I feel a good year to come to gunpla.

SDs aren't really my thing so I only have a few. I will review the 2 SDs that are part of the Ecopla line though.
In Destroy Mode that is one big PG. It could be biggest PG so far.
All gundams are really fragile, I’ve break some pieces trying to transform and was the perfect grade exia lighting ed, perfect grade banshee and Unicorn 🦄. All of the have gorilla glue.
this is one on the "to get list" =) i have pg 00 raiser and thats a pain in the ass for posing.. its so damn heavy in any aspect =)

it really bothers me when people switch the face as the unicorn face on a destroy mode and destroy mode on a unicorn mode... it really bugs me even they half transform it.. I sound nit pick but unicorn gundam is one of my favorite mobile suits

After seeing reviews of all versions of the Unicorn Gundam, the 1/144 HG,1/100 MG and the 1/60 PG I can conclude that it's a poorly designed MS. the single bolt joints with thick armour looks cool and all, but in terms of mobility, it's not very practical. The limited of articulation on the knees, elbows and feet are comparable to older models that came out in the 90s which is kinda disappointing since this model is a later kit. I was hoping to find some ideas on how to make my 1/144 HG Unicorn model to bend its knee more than 90 degrees, I suppose the design solution Bandai came up with the PG kit is the best one I can find. Thanks for the review.
Can you actually call a model kit that can fully transform poor engineering? Thats masterful man. And not easy. Its either you get a transforming function or more pose options

Has anyone tried using the POM for the shoulder joint in place of the polycap. It might strengthen the joint. Not sure.

No cement and no paint required. All I did was the panel lining.

Very lengthy when you get the LED set. Just really take your time with the kit. I broke the left Chest piece so now I can't really do the Destroy Mode anymore with out the kit looking odd.
I build MG kits but never Perfect what tools do you need for Perfect kits
A screwdriver, but you need that for some MG kits anyways.
