I’m happy other people appreciate Goemon. I recently downloaded translations for Ganbare Goemon 2-4 for SNES roms. Loving it!
I recently got physical copies of the second Famicom and SFC games myself.

Amazing collection, it’s so hard being an American Goemon fan. Also, hopefully if the new game does well it will give Konami motivation to make another official Goemon title or at least give the rights to GoodFeel to develop.
That's probably the best case scenario at the moment--fingers crossed it goes down that way!
5:20 - this pencil case brings back a lot of nostalgic feeling. I never had this, but a fellow student had a Galaxy Express 999 pencil case in this same style and I loved it. Thanks for sharing!
A Galaxy Express one, eh? That sounds awesome. Growing up in Hawaii, a lot of stores had this style of pencil case, but never anything as cool as that...at least, I don't remember seeing any.
@@ImportGamingFTW I may be older than you, which might be why it was out at the time. I was on a military base in the suburbs of Tokyo at the time (mid '80s).
100% agreed on them needing a new goemon game! hell I'd settle for another anniversary collection with a bunch of the existing titles, as it's not really a series I was familiar with, so what better jumping on point than a collection? keeping an eye on the spiritual successor though, for sure. also man, that series got so much merch!

I will be SO PISSED if the Switch spiritual successor from GoodFeel never makes it across the Pacific. Must even THAT stay in Japan!? I'd play the ever-loving shit out of it.
I'm hoping a fanmade project that comes along is 3D printing files to make Goemon action figures, since the ones that exist are so impossible to find.
I can't imagine that game staying Japan-exclusive, especially when almost everything on Switch gets an English translation (mo' money!). And I would love to see some .stl files for Goemon and crew.

Cool collection! Goemon has had a very special place in my heart since I played Mystical Ninja and Goemons great Adventure on the N64. Goemon is so niche!

Awesome pickups! Before your videos, I was under the impression that pretty much no Goemon merch existed, and it became more and more obvious that I was quite far from the truth. :D
Also, about the anime... I got one of my buddies to play pretty much all Goemon games (he's since finished almost all that has an English translation in an official or unofficial way), and he asked me if I wanted to watch the anime series with him. I didn't really want to, but somehow he convinced me. So we watched the first episode, and yeah... After that, we both agreed that we probably shouldn't continue. :D
Thanks--there are a lot of Goemon things out there, but they're a little hard to find. Happy (but not so happy) to hear about the anime, ha ha. I'll give the first episode a proper try someday...but I'm not looking forward to it.
As a fair weather fan of Goemon games I feel like I'm slippin! All this stuff is amazing!
All you really need are the games--hope you have a nice set, or have been borrowing them from the emulation library.

im honestly hoping they will also release more soundtracks on vinyl like they did for the snes goemon game. idd also like konami to finally release a legacy collection like they have done for so many of their series already on modern consoles. the goemon pluche with magnetic hands i also picked up as soon as i saw it.
I'm hoping for another vinyl release, too--I'd especially love either of the mainline N64 titles to get the honors!
With Sega's Japanese Ryu Goto ku series aka Yakuza or Like a Dragon series getting a proper Japanese dialogue and English subtitle and possibly other languages.. you would think that Ganbare Goemon would possibly get the same treatment but it probably will not because of it's cartoonish art and how most Americans still stigmatize such art styles as being for kids or something really weird in the case where the cultural differences cannot make it for North America as a T for Teen or even E for Everybody game.
I think it's just a matter of execs not having faith in such a collection/revival's money-making potential. I know I'd buy a copy...probably two.

Never played Goemon, but if I was in Japan I would likely be a Castlevania collector.
Good choice--I pick up Castlevania stuff here and there, but the fans are hardcore! Everything is too expensive.

Impact got a pretty cool model kit put out at the Wonder Festival this year! I think it went for about $100 there, but of course, it's that x6 or x7 now.
Did you get a new camera. Seems like the auto focus was behaving itself this time. You always seem to find an endless amount of Goemon stuff. Makes me wonder how close you are to a complete collection of Goemon merch.
Thanks for noticing, I picked up a much better camera earlier this year, but haven't used it much--well, for video projects, anyway. I don't think I'm even close to a complete collection of merch considering all the not for sale items and weird, obscure stuff out there (Wonder Festival comes to mind).

I think my room's temperature was 32 degrees Celsius when I was filming, so it was bound to happen. The person who advised me is an idiot, though.
Amazing Goemon collection Jim . Ive been meaning to pick a Goemon game on the super famicom . Which is the system i collect games for the most. What is the best one that you would recommend to someone who is new to the series ?
I think I'd say 2 for SFC is the perfect starter and representation of Ganbare Goemon on Super Famicom. My personal favorite is the first SFC/SNES game. Since you love the Mana series and RPGs, you might like 3, which is the most similar to something like Seiken Densetsu or Legend of Zelda. Let me know what you pick up!

Thanks--and as for the Goodfeel game, I'm cautiously optimistic as usual, but it looks pretty good from the trailer. The graphics are a bit simple, but there is some nice looking art direction, and it looks like it would be pretty fun. I'm glad they're including robot battles, but I wish it was first-person (might still be). And of course, I wish it was a Goemon game, but I'll take it!

Man realy nice pick ups. I do say Goemon rely have a dang ton of merch. But then again I would probably find allot of merch for my favorite game series if I lived in Japan. But sense I don´t I will have to be content with what ever scraps I can get here in Sweden praying some one else have the money to spend on import and then diced to sell it.
Good luck picking up some Goemon stuff--it's hard enough finding things in Japan, so I can only imagine how rare it all is in Sweden!

Nice new Goemon merch though, that I dare say, this is nice as Sasuke would quote (well the middle part of that sentence anyway, he says "I dare say" a lot).
The moment you opened that poster, I recognized the guy, my favorite of the PS1 Goemon trilogy. The game where the inside joke was recycling......literally. Still have yet to find one on Ebay for a fair price, the search continues though, for now a burned CD will have to do (my PS2 is fliptop modded, and a Gameshark CD with it's own memory card allows me to play the burned backups). Haven't gotten to Puchi Carat PS1 JP version territory yet though, that took over a dozen years of waiting patiently for a US seller to have one for a fair price, or even a copy at all that wasn't a PAL version.
And now for something non-Goemon, but random Konami thing, Shuzilow Ha recently followed myself, and some other Twinbee fans, from a Twinbee Discord, on Twitter. Also followed by a former Zuntata member, Karu.
Regarding the follows, that awesome. I've always wanted to reach out to certain creators of my favorite games, but I'm too timid, I guess. I would love to turn IGFTW into one big interview channel.

As for the follows thing, it happened likely for Karu as I often conpliment her on her piano playing videos she posts to Twitter, she is awesome on the ivory. Complimenting Shuzilow as well on the art he draws and shows on Twitter likely got the follow.
Did you hear that there is a Goemon spiritual successor by Good-Feel coming out on the Switch called Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru: Oracle Saitarou no Sainan!!? Its closer to the the first N64 Goemon game where its more of a 3D platformer than a 2.5D side scrolling game.
Maybe you skipped the intro and the outro, but yeaaaaaaah!

Thanks for watching--I actually showed those figures in the intro B-roll, but I was lucky enough to buy the three figures when they were first produced (2019?). And at that time they were something like $100 each--crazy how expensive they are!
Wow that’s crazy you collect all of Goemon! I collect everything Ninja! I have all the Shinobi titles, Ninja Gaiden, and Tenchu titles, I’m on my way to collect the Goemon series. I never knew Goemon was released on the Famicom. I remember Goemon the first time I ever played it was on the N64 Mystical Ninja starring Goemon. That game brings back childhood memories

Right now, there is a high end Konami gatchapan machine at Morioka station. I got a nice Goemon figure from it. Hopefully you can find it in your part of Tohoku too :)
Nice--I have the one you're talking about, I think--the baseball series one, right? Also, I visited Morioka for the first time sometime in October of last year when my parents visited. It was only for the morning and some part of the afternoon, and even though it was raining, I thought it was a really nice town!

I forget the exact names, but they're from Ganbare Goemon 4 on SFC, Yae's first stage (forest) and her first town. Two of the best tracks in the entire series, in my opinion.
