This is not directed specifically at you but rather all of us who played this game at one time or another…. When we audibly verbalize the hoops we jumped through to have the "opportunity" to GIVE HERMES tens of thousands of dollars for a B/K we sound as though we’re in a toxic relationship! I broke up with Hermes a while back and I’m happy to see so many RUclips videos lately of other ladies and gentlemen also breaking free. It was ridiculous enough when we had to run into H every week to pick up something… anything… so that we didn’t lose points with our SA. It’s now totally insane to allow H to dictate to us what we need to buy in order to hopefully get offered a B/K. I now enjoy the H bags I have and no longer covet new colors, sizes, etc.

Hi late to these but watching loads of this type of content atm. Fascinating marketing. I tched one lady who was treated badly by H in Oz. As I watched the video it gave me vibes of abusive bf and then she gets dumped by H, poor lady she didn’t even know what she did wrong it gave me such manipulative abusive vibes I was just shocked.
I'm in shock watching this. I'm not a luxury (bag) fan, this just popped up on my RUclips. But you shouldn't have to build a relationship with an SA or buy a ton of stuff just to be "offered" a bag...what the heck?! You're a customer who is spending hard earned money. They are basically coercing you into things you don't want to do! How is this legal?
I'd just go to Japan for Hermes, it's more expensive but it's worth the time and annoyance being treated like a beggar for a bag. Japan is in another level, Hermes can't implement their unethical sales strategy there, very contradictory to their culture where customer is a king, there's no looking poor or rich, customer is customer 🙂
Thats so interesting to hear I feel like 'customer is king' has not been the sentiment here in Australia for a veryyyy long time. I love that comment 'Beggar for a Bag' haha it so feels like that sometimes doesnt it! Without wishing to sound rude, why on earth would anyone spend thousands of pounds on pieces they don't really want in order to try to curry favour with an SA in the hope that they MAY be offered a bag?! I'm a luxury bag lover myself and am currently looking into buying an Hermes bag preloved. My attitude is that if you really want the actual bag then just purchase it preloved. That way you won't be falling for the sales pitch (as that is clearly all it is) from Hermes that makes you spend thousands on stuff you don't want for an undefined time. I'm the customer, I want the bag therefore I'll buy it. Paying a premium preloved for a still brand new bag is still way cheaper (and less humiliating) than dancing to any brands sales tune.

ATM I just don’t know how I feel about the whole journey and whether I want to play anymore or just do what you suggested as it’s probably the smarter one lol. Good luck finding a used one in good condition that ISNT 2x the retail price, I’m sure they exist but definitely are hard to come by! at that point I’d just spend the extra money at an hermes store
I share your sentiment Claire. I purchased both of my Birkins Preloved and my Kelly. Would actually like to sell my Kelly because it’s just not me. Too small for my taste. I refuse to play the game & refuse to listen to snobs who look down on those that purchase Pre-loved and have wasted their money buying things that they obviously Don’t Want or else Fashionphile wouldn’t be full of Hermès products.

There shouldn't be a journey. Do you love the brand? Does it meet your aesthetics? I love the Hermes simplicity so I buy from them. I don't have an SA, I buy online, airports, overseas stores, local boutique etc. I think the pressure for a journey is unrealistic, buy what you love. I buy from Hermes, moynat, valextra, goyard because that is my aesthetic (simple design). When you love a brand it's not difficult and there's no disappointment.

I am sorry, but i would NEVER play this ridiculous game with Hermes. I bought my bracelets, belts and scarves and that was it. Bought online and made no paper trail or connected with an SA. I have the most amazing reseller here in the states, and purchased my Birkin a month ago. it is beyond gorgeous. Its better than getting one at the store. It didn't come with a rude, self-entitled SA who thinks the sun rises and sets with them because they "offered" you a bag. Come on people....stop buying into this game with Hermes and maybe this stupid practice will stop. Honestly.......you don't need to spend money to spend money at a store. You must be worthy to buy a Birkin or Kelly....no, that BS.
If you really want a Hermès Birkin or Kelly bag, you’ll be much better off financially in the long run by buying in the secondary market. In this case, you don’t have to buy tons of expensive craps from a Hermès boutique just for the probability of eventually being offered to buy a Birkin or Kelly which may or may not occur.
I have been looking at a few videos about this subject and it has just hit me what a genius marketing ploy they have! It seems to me they do not want to sell the bags, they create a demand for the bags with the rarity and how hard they are to get, so that you buy "Other items" in order to be allowed to buy a bag, but in fact it is the "Other Items" that they really want to sell, I mean, if there was no such thing as a Kelly or a Birkin, would you seriously buy a $200. sushi plate???? I think not !
Don’t buy anything else. Just come to the store and ask to talk to the store manager and he/she will find you a new SA. Be precise and tell her what you want, not other bags or items you might or might not like. If you want a b25 or b30 first, Say so and narrow down to 3 colors. Don’t ask for a picotin if you want a birkin. Most of the managers are really nice, they will listen and help you. I only like birkin and Kelly and that all I bought and I also have a mini Constance because I think it’s ok. I don’t like other bags from Hermes at all and I’m not gonna waste my money on them. My advice: buy only what you like. Be precise about which bag you want and stick to it. Don’t afraid to say no on offer that you don’t like because it’s silly.
That is a money grabbing pit. Absolutely horrifying and humiliating to the desperate customer. They milk you before you actually are able to look at the bag hoping to spend more of your dollars. I would rather go on a very nice trip around the world than making this company richer.

I am an established customer at a very competitive boutique. I am regulary offered quota bags but I have noticed that this year has been especially competitive for everyone. At my boutique, bags don't really count towards prespend so your Picotin and KTG would not really count towards a quota bag offer and new customers spend between 2:1 to 3:1 before they are offered their first quota bag. Enjoy what you have; they are beautiful!
Yes I think based on your non-leather to leather spend ratio, you have done better than many others. A mini Evelyne and a Picotin! You can easily recoup those costs in the secondary market if you feel like you’ve spent too much.
Don’t give up. My SA left last year and I had no idea. The SM connected me with my current SA and on my first appt with him, I was offered a C18. Your purchase history is your purchase history regardless of who your SA is.
I’ve never purchased a Hermes bag but I would think the same thing - your previous purchase history would travel with you to another SA. I had no idea it was this intense to buy a bag - bugger that! 😂
Buy from a reputable second-hand shop is the best option. I never had a problem getting a bag in the stores for 30 years, but I still like to shop in the preloved market due to its selections and hassle-free experiences.
I only & always buy all H bracelets (cannot afford the bags) at pre-loved shops. Why grovel, lose your dignity & throw cash at the official shops and be treated like beggars. Be SMART, Act SMARTER!!!
After viewing your video I feel incredibly fortunate that the purchase of my Kelly bag involved no drama nor sucking up to an SA. My husband had whisked me off to Chicago to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were supposed to be in Paris, but cancelled as 9/11 had just occurred, yes this was 2001. Our main stop was the Hermès store for a new scarf when I spied a black Kelly bag in a case. I asked the SA how in the world did they get that bag as when I was in Paris, the Hermès store there didn't have a black Kelly. She said it was a fluke and that there were several women wanting the bag. I retorted, 'of course they would, who wouldn't??' We had a short wait to pay for our scarf purchase and the SA was incredibly nice. I asked if I could see the Kelly and she said 'of course'. It was the stuff dreams are made of, I never dreamed I'd end up owning it. I thanked her and she put it back and we paid for my scarf. At lunch my husband kept asking me what was my fascination with the bag, I said it was just a feeling and something that I'd always wanted, but never dreamt I'd get. When we got into the taxi to take us to the airport my husband talked over me and told him to go to the Hermès store. The bag was still there, and it's mine. Happy endings do happen!
Such a first world problem. But we all pick our battles. Hope you get your bag. Should’ve probably worked with the person who contacted you when your SA left. This game gives H all the power. There’s always pre loved.
NOT gonna try, NOT gonna play their games....If they don't want to sell to a person who has the cash and won't hire enough people to boost up availability, to hell with them. There are plenty of very attractive, & well made great leather handbags being sold by companies happy to get your business....These are the people I enjoy helping be productive and successful.

That video is such an oldie lol. I’m nervous to buy preloved Hermes I just think the super fakes are getting too good at all of the brands so it just makes me nervous secondly I wanted a Picotin which isn’t the highly sought after B or K so I thought I had a chance and I managed to get one fairly easily after getting to know a lovely SA. Hermes items are beautiful so that helps. I’m not playing anymore my SA left the job and I haven’t been back it kind of ruined it for me when she left
I can't believe people are still craving for those grandma bags. The only thing uglier than Hermes bags are those scarves that they use to protect the handles.
I bought the Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week at *esluxscom* and since receiving it I have been using it and neglecting my designer collection (honeymoon period maybe) , but I was really impressed with the quality and timing, right down to how they used it. Will wear it. I wish they would make this bag in a variety of pinks (i.e. sakura pink). There are actually many options to choose from
If the SA has gone down to one day a week she needs to cull her client list. She has tried to give you the hint. Listen. It’s nothing personal, just business. The SA that called you on her behalf obviously had her blessing to do so. You should have gone in to meet them. You dont know for sure that you have to start over. You never really liked this SA anyway so why do you care? Call the one that called you about the shoes and see where it goes. I think your bag is around the corner, a lot of it is up to the store manager too. Maybe call the store manager and ask there opinion of with whom you should proceed

I got a Birkin 1st time stepping into the Hermes store with absolutely no purchase history whatsoever. No brag. Just saying, its totally random. And on top of that, less than 3 months later I got offered another! So make whatever you want of this comment but honestly, you shouldn't have to play all these games with them. I came in with one vibe and one vibe only and that was "If i get one cool, if not, whatever. I will never give them the satisfaction of tossing me around like all the crazy stories i've read or watched on youtube". Good luck whatever you choose to do from this point on. Cheers!
I had a few SA's at different stores who were not that helpful. I've actually switched stores TWICE. I live in a big city where there's multiple boutiques. I still don't have my dream bag, but I do think it's worth switching. Just buy stuff you want and ask them for a new SA and explain that you miss having that relationship which you valued.
You can find a luxury buyer who can obtain items for you and you don't have to jump through hoops. This is a common practice for many who live in countries that don't have Hermes boutiques. Don't buy things you don't want or need. Simply go with a buyer who has a solid reputation. Naturally they will charge a fee but at least you are getting what you want. Alternatively you can also try Tokyo, Japan and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia boutiques. My experience in these countries is that a SA cannot be rude to a potential buyer due to the social culture, and their stock is quite substantial.
@@Dropthesoapto Dubai has a lot of stock but they have a lot of clientele, and the prices will be significantly higher. You can try Abu Dhabi as well, its about an hour drive from Dubai and they are more laid back.
I'm still watching, but I wish you had switched SAs. Seems like that one wasn't interested in a real relationship with you and just wanted to meet her own selling quota. My SA is not like this at all. If I say no, she doesn't try to convince me other wise. She just wants to make sure I'm happy with what I'm purchasing.
Spending your money is like blessing the company. So spend it when you feel like you are treated like a queen. Because that’s what I do: I only bless with money when the SA/Company deserves to. 😘 You have the money and the decision making power. You are on control, keep that in mind.. Here in Brazil the Hermes game works just like that and I just don’t have time and energy. Best SA in Brazil are at: LV, Celine, Saint Laurent, Cartier, Tiffany and Dior.

Hiiii love I'm from Canada. I went through something similar twice but the manager reassured me that the spending towards a quota bag is still there. The relationship is important but the spending is on your profile and will move along to the new SA with you. You are restarting a relationship, not the spending. You've come so far! I suggest you to go to the store and try to find a SA you click with and go from there. Tell them your story. I did that and everything is going great with my current SA. Good luck!

I second this comment - exact same thing happened to me Billie as it did to you - and what worked was actually talking to the store manager, 3 weeks later I got my first Birkin a 25 in Sakura palladium hardware. I made a whole video on the entire experience too if you're interested Billie

Honestly, I would never buy from Hermes with this kind of policy they have. I am not saying that what you're doing is wrong or trying to be rude here. I am only explaining my point of view on this matter. I believe that Hermes doing this to trick people to buy more of many things that they don't need or like. The only nice bags they have are the berkin and the kelly and the other bags people won't even think about buying them if they didn't have this policy. I am against Hermes and what they're doing to trick their customers to make them buy more.
Nobody paying to fly international first class expects to be treated like crap onboard. Nobody paying to stay at a 5-star hotel excepts to be treated like a criminal in the hotel. So, why does Hermès treat their clients like shyte when these customers have been spending a ton of money at their boutiques? You may call it Hermès’ old money attitude/culture/snobbery but Patek Philippe boutiques and their authorized dealers don’t treat their prospective clients (people who are only browsing) like crap, let alone their established clients who have been officially registered owners of PP timepieces.
No way will I let a pion employee who most likely does not have my income, and who works at Hermes decide how to spend my money! That's crazy! I'll stick to high end second hand boutiques with no BS.
Oran sandals are super comfortable when you get them in right size, I have very sensitive feet which get blisters from anything but gold Orans I can wear all day long without issues
Talk with the store manager and ask him or her what you should do. Hermes is fueling the preloved market with their practices which makes it easier for people like me to shop while sitting in my bed.

You got some beautiful items though. I'm sad about how your SA was not good at communicating 😢 The Australian boutiques are very competitive. Have you considered trying again with a different SA? She doesn't seem available and she's not in-store so she isn't reliable.
My understanding is that it is not just the SA, but the store records. If you move to another SA within the same store, they will have your record on file and your new SA will see it. I do not think this is a problem long term.

Australia is crazy. Sydney seems like 2:1 minimum at the least. I don't think your journey should end though. She's moving into a new career so she won't have pull at the boutique like she used to. I would change SAs. When she said you can go with another person in the store, that was the greenlight. Maybe you could get introduced to another SA at the boutique that isn't that other person? I still think this can be salvaged.
I would not give a company that treats you like garbage the time of day. Like people have said, buy on the reseller market, or buy something that you love in a different brand. There are plenty of companies out there that will sell you a lovely bag and treat you like a valued customer.
I appreciate your honesty. When j was in Italy I went to 3 Hermes and couldn’t get my hands on an a pair of Orans. Hated how stuck up the SA’s were. I refused to play their games and reused to go Hermes. Not worth it.
Your SA most likely asked the other SAs to get you the items you wanted. After you kept reject them she probably just stop bothering them. She was clearly trying to help you. Anyway, I think you probably would have better luck and save money hopping on a plane to Paris or Mexico! Apparently, South of the Border for me at least, in Mexico they have no wait time but limited colors. It's a little known secret. Again, limited colors but you can get either Birkin or Kelly on your first go. Look into it and Good Luck if you decide to try again!

if you add up the cost of all the items you didn't really want, and then add it to the cost of a kelly or a birkin, if that is comparable to the price of say a brand new on the resell market, it would actually make more sense to get it from the secondary market, as you're guaranteed to get the bag as long as you pay. In the former, there's always the chance that you keep spending and never get the bag you want, not to mention in the color or hte size you want.
I had a wonderful SA of 3 years in which every 6 months I was offered K or B. I got 2 Ks and 1 B from her. I did have to spend to keep getting although the ratio was not bad. Initially it was 1:1 but then it is like 0.2-0.5 to 1. She retired and now I am referred to another SA. Btw both are titled sales supervisor. I do find that it is a bit harder to get quota bags since the pandemic started. They are probably expected spending over 1:1 and in certain categories now. I have not been offered any bags the past 2 years as my spend has not reached that bar. The good thing is I can still request certain bag style with the new SA, and she literally will tell me all the colors and leathers in store or will be shipped in and then I pick the exact one I want. They did that with my K and B in the past. Basically it’s a numbers game you buy enough they will offer you regardless of the SA. You should just find a new SA at the store and keep going if you want a bag from store. The low inventory and higher spend bar is making me consider preloved market these days.

It took me only two months to do some spend in Hermes to get offered a Kelly on the spot and I wasn’t doing it to get the record to get a bag. I wanted some of their scarves in a specific print, their loafers (almost priced like Gucci but much nicer) , bag straps for my own Kelly sellier and got a nice homeware I liked out of them. Different SAs served me. No specific SA. I just drop by and look around.
They never even tell me to spend to get a bag. A bag is not even on my radar since I have one already from HK because my friend there is a Hermes regular.
@@billiexluxury yeah. Hermes is just a random luck out in which SA was serving that day and how nice the SA is. If you plan to holiday in Paris, book a few appointments early in the morning with their HQ at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré ahead before you fly, I will say a fair few got lucky with the bag offers ( usual rules, don’t request outright Kelly/Constance/Birkin - dance around colors , size and utility of the bag e.g official functions, plus the type of leather preferred).
Hong Kong used to get a lot more Hermes bags along with Tokyo. But HQ has the most supply. That’s what a rep from another boutique told me, he’s Parisian and they know about how infamous (and anal) Hermes is.
You’re giving off a really kind person vibe. So, it’s really hard to hear how that young lady treated you. I find it annoying i mean I get brand tries to be exclusive and they are the most powerful luxury house but this shouldn’t be how they treat people. Honestly, i love their quality. I always buy online if i can, hell even their customer rep on the call center isn’t even nice… i bought many things from online store and knowing i would never a birkin or kelly but im okay with that rather than being looked down. One day when i make millions or billions, they will treat me differently which is what bothers me. I get different class gets treated differently but hermes is so annoying from the start idk

Hi dear. Really sorry to hear your story and I can understand your frustration. Also wanted to say that Hermes experience are different in different countries and continents. Some people are very lucky and some unfortunately not so lucky. I live in London and I was always told it’s impossible to get Birkins & Kelly’s here as they get offered to high profile clients. So I did what I rarely see people do. As my SA’s were the normal snotty types (lol) I directly made contacts with the store managers and made my thoughts and wishes clear to him/her. I directly asked questions on how things work and wanted honest opinion on the Hermes games etc. I was told that there was no game and it’s your interest & love in the fashion house and relationship you build. But No games of you needing to spend X amount. I only bought 3/4 items after I put in my wish list and within 3 months was offered a birkin 30 in Noir. Also your purchase history is always there is doesn’t disappear with SA’s leaving. It’s on their Hermes system. My advise will be speak to the store manager explain your situation and tell them ur interest. I am sure you’ll get your dream bag soon. Take care and all the best! ❤
But that's in UK, the system is different there. In Australia, US, Canada, and other Asian countries, the system is more competitive, and purchase history matters. If you ask any Hermes SA whether there is a game, of course they will say there is no game. Tgey will never admit that.

I believe here in Aus it’s very competitive whereas I know one RUclipsr that purchased a couple of things only and was offered a birkin in Ireland with veryyy little spend. It’s hard being in a competitive country

I know people who have been waiting for years and spent over £30000 plus for their birkin or Kelly! But they have not made any communication or relationships with the store manager or attempted to discuss their interest but just be intimidated. Purchase history never goes away from ur account if u change store I checked with Paris head office. Any purchase u make from any store will always be on your record under your name.
It’s not the shop assistant who decides on who is getting the bag. All your details and purchases are in their crm system. Also, if a celebrity wants one he/she will get it at once even as a new customer. There is a brand strategy behind it and it‘s decided from somebody far more up high. So don‘t spend your money on things you don’t really need or want just for your essay. Is owning Hermes pieces that important to your life?
I am pretty sure that you overestimate the importance of the sales assistant. You are buying from Hermés, not from their employee. Of course your purchases aren't "lost" if you get a new assistant. You should never buy anything from them if you don't really like it, they are so expensive.

I'm in Australia and I think it's a lot harder here, my suggestion though would be to go in and find a new SA, once you feel a bit comfortable with the new one, pull the trigger on that watch you were eyeing.
This is crazy. Like you feel you have to buy stuff you don’t necessarily want to hopefully be picked to spend thousands. It's like mean girls or high school or something.
I’m not a big H fan to be honest.. I wouldn’t purchase anything other then a Birkin or Kelly. If I really wanted one I would look for a good private shopper they are pricy but worth it when it comes to connections.
Hey dear, what an upsetting situation, what I can honestly say is don’t give up. I drive once a month an hour and 30 mins away to see my SA. At first I didn’t think it was going to be worth it but it was, now they are going to open a new store 20 mins away from me but I will still drive that hour because I have built a relationship with my current SA. You just really need to find someone you can connect with 💕
I feel you. Spent so much, more than 2:1 ratio and until now no bags still but some SA has birkin and kelly for those who doesnt buy that much. That is weird so i am disappointed and doesn’t want to go in the store anymore. It is unfair and really a bad game to play. 😅
Of course, that's whay's wrong with it and borders on scamming and extorsion: you're giving them all the money they ask for, untill they're satisgied and STILL you have no guarantee that you'll be offered a purchase, because they have their own private list. Oh and don't forget that SAs compete with each other and your SA might be the one who's not getting any bags, but meanwhile, he/she doesn't tell you the truth and keeps pushing you to spend in other stuff.
With much love but you’re not liking or enjoying any of what you bought because you felt obliged to buy them in order to get what you want. They too can see it and that’s why the SA stretched you out to buy things. My advice to anyone who wants to buy Hermès is to only buy things you would enjoy and don’t be afraid to say no .. that way the SA will know to offer you only things you want. P.S: everything you bought is beautiful but these aren’t the usual things Hermès customers buy but rather influencers. Hermès enthusiasts usually are into their shoes and rtw clothes and then bags. Also I have a birkin and a Kelly and after a while they’re just bags you have so don’t wear yourself out ♥️
Too complicated only to get a bag. WTH is "journey" we are talking about here? We have money, we have the right to purchase. I am not gonna spend my time and money only to play this kind of game only for a bag. Being scanned from head to toe, being analyze how much we know the brand and the reason we have to get a bag is just too much.

You did score very beautiful popular items from hermes and that is a little win in itself. In singapore, our bags and SLGs don't count as prespend, so you're very lucky! Hope your SA comes back soon!
In reference to your journey experience with that lady sales person at the Hermes store, in my opinion she did NOT have the class and sofisticated attitude to give you an outstanding service, it is sad to know that Hermes company hires mediocre individuals like this lady. Years ago I had a similar experience with a Nordstrom employee, immediately, the next day I called the corporate office and she was fired. The proper approach will be to take action right away by calling the corporate office so they can resolve the problem.🥰
Maybe work with a personal shopper, you pay a fee around USD 500 ( sometimes more for Hermes), you get bags offered, its not ideal but you don't have to keep spending money on things you do not require, you can be pretty upfront as to what you need, maybe a kelly or a constance, certainly not easy to come by a color you want but its a start and you build from there or you get few bags and move on.

I got bag in Europe, just registration at list in shop, waiting for 1 year, after they call me and said that I have 1 week for come to shop and buy the bag.
Judging by your state of mind in this video....I'd sell all those items you bought and look at the pre-loved market. A new bag should be a plesant experience no? Not make you sad like this!
I bought Everlane's version and they were comfortable from the beginning. Of course, I'm fooling no one who really knows the Hermès sandal, but I'm happy.

At one stage I was set on getting my quota bags from boutique but decided that it was not practical. I did not want to spend so rapidly and I was worried that once I had saved up for a quota bag (after my pre spend) my SA may not remember me anymore. I also did attempt to buy from an SA remotely before and that was an epic fail. So I just bit the bullet and bought from resale market😅 So glad to have discovered your channel❤

This is not the end of the world dear, you can start with other SA you profile still present. Having good SA is a plus for getting B, K bags but spending is still most important. This is why I am telling my fan to have more than one SA otherwise this is a good case thanks for sharing ❤️

Hi Billie. I love your videos! I think you are thinking too hard about it. You have bought so many items and have been offered some amazing items. I would meet with the manager about how your sales associate is moving toward a diff career path. They will help. My SA left too after years of not being offered a bag. My New SA is adorable. I have so many items on my wishlist from many different brands including jewelry. So, I need to pace myself and buy what I truly love only. If you go on the purse forum there are many who say it’s best not to try too hard. They believe that SA’s see through that and it may work not in your favor. I agree. Be yourself and be fun and not stressed when you go into the store. It will make a difference I think. You have the best personality and are so fun to watch.
Don’t be discouraged. Your spending history with the store not an SA. You can request meeting with store manager to discuss your quota bag possibilities

I am not even sure if it is legal what Hermes does. It‘s discriminating and at least in Germany a company cannot deny selling a product to you as long as you pay for it. It would be interesting hie a lawyer sees it.
I live in the USA. I have never heard of an SA actually "discussing a wishlist etc". REDICULOUS! I purchased a few clic clac bracelets and a pr of sandals in a HERMES store. I will admit I was carrying a Birkin 35. No SA can intimidate me. It's a STORE! You can shop or not. Do not act thankful that they even look at you or acknowledge you. There is no such thing as a "wishlist "! Either you and your SA hit it off or not. I spent perhaps a thousand dollars and mentioned that in the future I would love a Birkin 35 in gold. No begging nor pleading etc. That was my only remark. The SA went to the back to get the sandals I wanted and he said "Oh they are on sale!" Great. We exchanged pleasantries and I left. In approximately 3 weeks, the SA called and said "I have your Birkin 35 in gold for you to offer!". I was out of town at my daughter's wedding and of course that was quite costly. I told the SA I hated turning down the Birkin but the wedding was so expensive - I had to say no. I also said I hope I will be offered one in the future. The SA said "Of course!". A couple months later I called my SA and told him I would love a black Evelyne (they were so difficult to get at that time). He said we are expecting new stock. Within 2 weeks, the SA called and said I have your Black Evelyne in the store ready for you. I thanked him and said I would come into the store. A few days later I picked it up. So my story is so different than these videos. The concept of a "wishlist " is a myth. Either the SA is going to get your bags or not! Best of luck ❤️

@b Florida this is the first I’ve heard that a merchandise on an Hermès boutique being on sale. I’ve been shopping at Hermès boutiques for years and never saw anything “on sale”. Hermès used to hold sample sales in Paris and NYC but not at its boutiques.

Man, Hermes really strings your ass along. I thought the Rolex game was bad, but Hermes takes it to a whole different, shittier level. With my Rolex, I didn't have to buy anything. I just had to wait 8 or 9 months.
This game that Hermes plays with their costumers is crazy. Like WTF? You HAVE to build a "relationship with your "SA"? And then if the SA INEVITABLY leaves, the costumer is left to hang? Also all his "dancing" of not really wanting to mention the bag, but just kind imply so that you don't seem rude or something - jeez, it's so humiliating. Where you went wrong is that you bought pieces you really didn't want to. If all you want from the brand is those stupid overpriced bags, go to the pre-loved market. If you genuinely love the brand, and you "genuine" purchases would amount to the required purchase history, go with another SA. But really if it JUST the bag, don't put yourself through this and go to the preloved market. Or give yourself a nice trip to Paris, and MAYBE you will score something there.

Obviously I have to start from zero. Honestly I’m still debating whether I should continue or not? My SA transferred to other location which not in the same state I’m living, the communication became more and more difficult. Sometimes she didn’t even reply my text. I purchased my Hermes bag on fashionphile I’m super happy with it. 😅 my SA absolutely does not communicate or offer me anything at all even though I spend money frequently. Pretty annoying. I’m still hoping to get a picotin 18 one day my store has extremely low stock so I’m not getting my hopes up. I think the only way I’d get a quota bag is if I went to another store other than my local store. I swear my local store is the most low stock and least helpful Hermes in the US. 😅😂
You may have been better off asking the manager to set you up with a new SA. The manager would be able to hook you up with someone they'd think is a good fit. If the other SA left the store, or barely was in, I feel it shows she wasn't that committed to keeping clients?...Either way I'm sorry you felt the need to buy items you didn't necessarily want. A great SA won't make you feel obligated. You should also be able to up up front with them too, in a polite manner, and get an honest reply about your wishlist.

Should start with fine jewellery and watch that will put you ahead of others. Everyone is buying costume jewellery and scarf well that will take long time to get your quota bag.
I never wanted an SA. I buy what I want when I want. It could be anywhere, any country or online. I can’t justify the so called Hermès journey. Besides this differ from country to country. I’m in Scandinavia and the pressure you describe is unheard of. If I want a specific piece I work with any SA. Worked just fine so far.
I think u r really blessed to have so many popular item offers. U know in some locations and stores, all these will set u back in getting ur quota bag offer. The leather bags and SLGs also do not count towards your quota bag offer most likely.
@@billiexluxury definitely…..just last week, one of my Hermes SA who is a selling supervisor told me he is trying to pass one of his client to one of the other SAs. Reason: the client’s wishlist is too long and hard to satisfy.

Buy pre-loved from places that authenticate. I love Hermes as a brand because the quality is amazing. Unlike Chanel. However, I don't play games. I work too hard for my money.
Ask for your account to be transferred to another SA since that one now ignores you. Ring up and ask to make an appointment to come in to speak to the manager. Say you don’t think Hermes should or would want to lose you. You are lacking confidence as a customer!!Sydney customer service always pathetic from top to bottom, point it out. Act rich. No one know how much is in your bank account. You are not presenting as a pretender or a bogan. Lol.
I hope you watch your video, you are the customer and should not accept this treatment. Shopping should be fun, not stressful. I love Hermes also but I will not play this game.
Maybe you need a new SA. I received multiple offers from my SA from the get go and I rejected a couple of them. It’s the SA. I love mine and just text her for my wishlist and she gets them for me. She’s 4hrs away from me and have my purchases delivered but I need to pick up the quota bags personally.
With all respect, I don't understand why someone would accept to beg to pay a large amount of money for a bag and even be afraid to say that he wants the bag. This is not a journey, it's accepting to get bullied by Hermes. I don't want an Hermes bag unless Hermes begs me to buy it and I wouldn't accept to wear an Evelyn even if Hermes pays me to wear it. It's the most gypsy looking bag ever been made which is above $10. You deserve much more than that. :)
This is what’s called SA Haggling, “trying” to build a relationship with an SA, requesting a few nic nacka here and there in the hopes of having a wish list and bags. Real Hermes customers love the brand, frequent the store looking for new items that they love to buy, SA’s see the genuine love and these are the people who deserve and are offered bags, the purse on fleek girl did the same thing, that was mad when she “waited too long” for her wishlist items to come through. SA’s arent stupid, they know the real customers who deserve bags first, and the fake nic nack buyers who annoy them with emails and messages about their request, when the real customers make it easier on them because they show up and just shop. You’ll on the other hand arent shopping, commissions arent really being made, yet you’ll want a back and forth demanding email relationship and feel you’ll are owed a bag, before the ones who enjoy being in the stores, and wearing the brand

This is not directed specifically at you but rather all of us who played this game at one time or another…. When we audibly verbalize the hoops we jumped through to have the "opportunity" to GIVE HERMES tens of thousands of dollars for a B/K we sound as though we’re in a toxic relationship! I broke up with Hermes a while back and I’m happy to see so many RUclips videos lately of other ladies and gentlemen also breaking free.
It was ridiculous enough when we had to run into H every week to pick up something… anything… so that we didn’t lose points with our SA. It’s now totally insane to allow H to dictate to us what we need to buy in order to hopefully get offered a B/K.
I now enjoy the H bags I have and no longer covet new colors, sizes, etc.

As I watched the video it gave me vibes of abusive bf and then she gets dumped by H, poor lady she didn’t even know what she did wrong it gave me such manipulative abusive vibes I was just shocked.
I'm in shock watching this. I'm not a luxury (bag) fan, this just popped up on my RUclips. But you shouldn't have to build a relationship with an SA or buy a ton of stuff just to be "offered" a bag...what the heck?! You're a customer who is spending hard earned money.

I'd just go to Japan for Hermes, it's more expensive but it's worth the time and annoyance being treated like a beggar for a bag. Japan is in another level, Hermes can't implement their unethical sales strategy there, very contradictory to their culture where customer is a king, there's no looking poor or rich, customer is customer 🙂

It’s not unethical it’s just inconvenient. They do it because it works. I think it’s pretty smart. No other company can master that level of demand.

Without wishing to sound rude, why on earth would anyone spend thousands of pounds on pieces they don't really want in order to try to curry favour with an SA in the hope that they MAY be offered a bag?!
I'm a luxury bag lover myself and am currently looking into buying an Hermes bag preloved. My attitude is that if you really want the actual bag then just purchase it preloved. That way you won't be falling for the sales pitch (as that is clearly all it is) from Hermes that makes you spend thousands on stuff you don't want for an undefined time.
I'm the customer, I want the bag therefore I'll buy it. Paying a premium preloved for a still brand new bag is still way cheaper (and less humiliating) than dancing to any brands sales tune.

ATM I just don’t know how I feel about the whole journey and whether I want to play anymore or just do what you suggested as it’s probably the smarter one lol. Good luck finding a used one in good condition that ISNT 2x the retail price, I’m sure they exist but definitely are hard to come by! at that point I’d just spend the extra money at an hermes store
I share your sentiment Claire. I purchased both of my Birkins Preloved and my Kelly. Would actually like to sell my Kelly because it’s just not me. Too small for my taste. I refuse to play the game & refuse to listen to snobs who look down on those that purchase Pre-loved and have wasted their money buying things that they obviously Don’t Want or else Fashionphile wouldn’t be full of Hermès products.

There shouldn't be a journey. Do you love the brand? Does it meet your aesthetics? I love the Hermes simplicity so I buy from them. I don't have an SA, I buy online, airports, overseas stores, local boutique etc. I think the pressure for a journey is unrealistic, buy what you love. I buy from Hermes, moynat, valextra, goyard because that is my aesthetic (simple design). When you love a brand it's not difficult and there's no disappointment.

I am sorry, but i would NEVER play this ridiculous game with Hermes. I bought my bracelets, belts and scarves and that was it. Bought online and made no paper trail or connected with an SA. I have the most amazing reseller here in the states, and purchased my Birkin a month ago. it is beyond gorgeous. Its better than getting one at the store. It didn't come with a rude, self-entitled SA who thinks the sun rises and sets with them because they "offered" you a bag. Come on people....stop buying into this game with Hermes and maybe this stupid practice will stop. Honestly.......you don't need to spend money to spend money at a store. You must be worthy to buy a Birkin or Kelly....no, that BS.

If you really want a Hermès Birkin or Kelly bag, you’ll be much better off financially in the long run by buying in the secondary market. In this case, you don’t have to buy tons of expensive craps from a Hermès boutique just for the probability of eventually being offered to buy a Birkin or Kelly which may or may not occur.

I have been looking at a few videos about this subject and it has just hit me what a genius marketing ploy they have! It seems to me they do not want to sell the bags, they create a demand for the bags with the rarity and how hard they are to get, so that you buy "Other items" in order to be allowed to buy a bag, but in fact it is the "Other Items" that they really want to sell, I mean, if there was no such thing as a Kelly or a Birkin, would you seriously buy a $200. sushi plate???? I think not !
Don’t buy anything else. Just come to the store and ask to talk to the store manager and he/she will find you a new SA. Be precise and tell her what you want, not other bags or items you might or might not like. If you want a b25 or b30 first, Say so and narrow down to 3 colors. Don’t ask for a picotin if you want a birkin. Most of the managers are really nice, they will listen and help you.
I only like birkin and Kelly and that all I bought and I also have a mini Constance because I think it’s ok. I don’t like other bags from Hermes at all and I’m not gonna waste my money on them.
My advice: buy only what you like. Be precise about which bag you want and stick to it. Don’t afraid to say no on offer that you don’t like because it’s silly.

That is a money grabbing pit. Absolutely horrifying and humiliating to the desperate customer. They milk you before you actually are able to look at the bag hoping to spend more of your dollars. I would rather go on a very nice trip around the world than making this company richer.

I am an established customer at a very competitive boutique. I am regulary offered quota bags but I have noticed that this year has been especially competitive for everyone. At my boutique, bags don't really count towards prespend so your Picotin and KTG would not really count towards a quota bag offer and new customers spend between 2:1 to 3:1 before they are offered their first quota bag. Enjoy what you have; they are beautiful!

Yes I think based on your non-leather to leather spend ratio, you have done better than many others. A mini Evelyne and a Picotin! You can easily recoup those costs in the secondary market if you feel like you’ve spent too much.
Don’t give up. My SA left last year and I had no idea. The SM connected me with my current SA and on my first appt with him, I was offered a C18. Your purchase history is your purchase history regardless of who your SA is.

I’ve never purchased a Hermes bag but I would think the same thing - your previous purchase history would travel with you to another SA. I had no idea it was this intense to buy a bag - bugger that! 😂
Buy from a reputable second-hand shop is the best option. I never had a problem getting a bag in the stores for 30 years, but I still like to shop in the preloved market due to its selections and hassle-free experiences.

I only & always buy all H bracelets (cannot afford the bags) at pre-loved shops. Why grovel, lose your dignity & throw cash at the official shops and be treated like beggars. Be SMART, Act SMARTER!!!
After viewing your video I feel incredibly fortunate that the purchase of my Kelly bag involved no drama nor sucking up to an SA. My husband had whisked me off to Chicago to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were supposed to be in Paris, but cancelled as 9/11 had just occurred, yes this was 2001. Our main stop was the Hermès store for a new scarf when I spied a black Kelly bag in a case. I asked the SA how in the world did they get that bag as when I was in Paris, the Hermès store there didn't have a black Kelly. She said it was a fluke and that there were several women wanting the bag. I retorted, 'of course they would, who wouldn't??' We had a short wait to pay for our scarf purchase and the SA was incredibly nice. I asked if I could see the Kelly and she said 'of course'. It was the stuff dreams are made of, I never dreamed I'd end up owning it. I thanked her and she put it back and we paid for my scarf. At lunch my husband kept asking me what was my fascination with the bag, I said it was just a feeling and something that I'd always wanted, but never dreamt I'd get. When we got into the taxi to take us to the airport my husband talked over me and told him to go to the Hermès store. The bag was still there, and it's mine. Happy endings do happen!

I’m nervous to buy preloved Hermes I just think the super fakes are getting too good at all of the brands so it just makes me nervous secondly I wanted a Picotin which isn’t the highly sought after B or K so I thought I had a chance and I managed to get one fairly easily after getting to know a lovely SA. Hermes items are beautiful so that helps. I’m not playing anymore my SA left the job and I haven’t been back it kind of ruined it for me when she left

I bought the Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week at *esluxscom* and since receiving it I have been using it and neglecting my designer collection (honeymoon period maybe) , but I was really impressed with the quality and timing, right down to how they used it. Will wear it. I wish they would make this bag in a variety of pinks (i.e. sakura pink). There are actually many options to choose from
If the SA has gone down to one day a week she needs to cull her client list. She has tried to give you the hint. Listen. It’s nothing personal, just business. The SA that called you on her behalf obviously had her blessing to do so. You should have gone in to meet them. You dont know for sure that you have to start over. You never really liked this SA anyway so why do you care? Call the one that called you about the shoes and see where it goes. I think your bag is around the corner, a lot of it is up to the store manager too. Maybe call the store manager and ask there opinion of with whom you should proceed

I got a Birkin 1st time stepping into the Hermes store with absolutely no purchase history whatsoever. No brag. Just saying, its totally random. And on top of that, less than 3 months later I got offered another! So make whatever you want of this comment but honestly, you shouldn't have to play all these games with them. I came in with one vibe and one vibe only and that was "If i get one cool, if not, whatever. I will never give them the satisfaction of tossing me around like all the crazy stories i've read or watched on youtube". Good luck whatever you choose to do from this point on. Cheers!
I had a few SA's at different stores who were not that helpful. I've actually switched stores TWICE. I live in a big city where there's multiple boutiques. I still don't have my dream bag, but I do think it's worth switching. Just buy stuff you want and ask them for a new SA and explain that you miss having that relationship which you valued.

You can find a luxury buyer who can obtain items for you and you don't have to jump through hoops. This is a common practice for many who live in countries that don't have Hermes boutiques. Don't buy things you don't want or need. Simply go with a buyer who has a solid reputation. Naturally they will charge a fee but at least you are getting what you want.
Alternatively you can also try Tokyo, Japan and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia boutiques. My experience in these countries is that a SA cannot be rude to a potential buyer due to the social culture, and their stock is quite substantial.

@@Dropthesoapto Dubai has a lot of stock but they have a lot of clientele, and the prices will be significantly higher. You can try Abu Dhabi as well, its about an hour drive from Dubai and they are more laid back.

My SA is not like this at all. If I say no, she doesn't try to convince me other wise. She just wants to make sure I'm happy with what I'm purchasing.

Spending your money is like blessing the company. So spend it when you feel like you are treated like a queen. Because that’s what I do: I only bless with money when the SA/Company deserves to. 😘 You have the money and the decision making power. You are on control, keep that in mind.. Here in Brazil the Hermes game works just like that and I just don’t have time and energy.
Best SA in Brazil are at: LV, Celine, Saint Laurent, Cartier, Tiffany and Dior.

Hiiii love I'm from Canada. I went through something similar twice but the manager reassured me that the spending towards a quota bag is still there. The relationship is important but the spending is on your profile and will move along to the new SA with you. You are restarting a relationship, not the spending. You've come so far! I suggest you to go to the store and try to find a SA you click with and go from there. Tell them your story. I did that and everything is going great with my current SA. Good luck!

Honestly, I would never buy from Hermes with this kind of policy they have. I am not saying that what you're doing is wrong or trying to be rude here. I am only explaining my point of view on this matter. I believe that Hermes doing this to trick people to buy more of many things that they don't need or like. The only nice bags they have are the berkin and the kelly and the other bags people won't even think about buying them if they didn't have this policy.
I am against Hermes and what they're doing to trick their customers to make them buy more.

Nobody paying to fly international first class expects to be treated like crap onboard. Nobody paying to stay at a 5-star hotel excepts to be treated like a criminal in the hotel. So, why does Hermès treat their clients like shyte when these customers have been spending a ton of money at their boutiques? You may call it Hermès’ old money attitude/culture/snobbery but Patek Philippe boutiques and their authorized dealers don’t treat their prospective clients (people who are only browsing) like crap, let alone their established clients who have been officially registered owners of PP timepieces.

Oran sandals are super comfortable when you get them in right size, I have very sensitive feet which get blisters from anything but gold Orans I can wear all day long without issues

My understanding is that it is not just the SA, but the store records. If you move to another SA within the same store, they will have your record on file and your new SA will see it. I do not think this is a problem long term.

Australia is crazy. Sydney seems like 2:1 minimum at the least. I don't think your journey should end though. She's moving into a new career so she won't have pull at the boutique like she used to. I would change SAs. When she said you can go with another person in the store, that was the greenlight. Maybe you could get introduced to another SA at the boutique that isn't that other person? I still think this can be salvaged.

I would not give a company that treats you like garbage the time of day. Like people have said, buy on the reseller market, or buy something that you love in a different brand. There are plenty of companies out there that will sell you a lovely bag and treat you like a valued customer.

Your SA most likely asked the other SAs to get you the items you wanted. After you kept reject them she probably just stop bothering them. She was clearly trying to help you. Anyway, I think you probably would have better luck and save money hopping on a plane to Paris or Mexico! Apparently, South of the Border for me at least, in Mexico they have no wait time but limited colors. It's a little known secret. Again, limited colors but you can get either Birkin or Kelly on your first go. Look into it and Good Luck if you decide to try again!

if you add up the cost of all the items you didn't really want, and then add it to the cost of a kelly or a birkin, if that is comparable to the price of say a brand new on the resell market, it would actually make more sense to get it from the secondary market, as you're guaranteed to get the bag as long as you pay. In the former, there's always the chance that you keep spending and never get the bag you want, not to mention in the color or hte size you want.

@@billiexluxury I got a bag from Vestierie, it is brand new and I didn't have to schmooze with a pretentious SA to get the bag I really wanted.
I had a wonderful SA of 3 years in which every 6 months I was offered K or B. I got 2 Ks and 1 B from her. I did have to spend to keep getting although the ratio was not bad. Initially it was 1:1 but then it is like 0.2-0.5 to 1. She retired and now I am referred to another SA. Btw both are titled sales supervisor. I do find that it is a bit harder to get quota bags since the pandemic started. They are probably expected spending over 1:1 and in certain categories now. I have not been offered any bags the past 2 years as my spend has not reached that bar. The good thing is I can still request certain bag style with the new SA, and she literally will tell me all the colors and leathers in store or will be shipped in and then I pick the exact one I want. They did that with my K and B in the past. Basically it’s a numbers game you buy enough they will offer you regardless of the SA. You should just find a new SA at the store and keep going if you want a bag from store. The low inventory and higher spend bar is making me consider preloved market these days.

It took me only two months to do some spend in Hermes to get offered a Kelly on the spot and I wasn’t doing it to get the record to get a bag. I wanted some of their scarves in a specific print, their loafers (almost priced like Gucci but much nicer) , bag straps for my own Kelly sellier and got a nice homeware I liked out of them. Different SAs served me. No specific SA. I just drop by and look around.
They never even tell me to spend to get a bag. A bag is not even on my radar since I have one already from HK because my friend there is a Hermes regular.

@@billiexluxury yeah. Hermes is just a random luck out in which SA was serving that day and how nice the SA is. If you plan to holiday in Paris, book a few appointments early in the morning with their HQ at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré ahead before you fly, I will say a fair few got lucky with the bag offers ( usual rules, don’t request outright Kelly/Constance/Birkin - dance around colors , size and utility of the bag e.g official functions, plus the type of leather preferred).
Hong Kong used to get a lot more Hermes bags along with Tokyo. But HQ has the most supply. That’s what a rep from another boutique told me, he’s Parisian and they know about how infamous (and anal) Hermes is.
You’re giving off a really kind person vibe. So, it’s really hard to hear how that young lady treated you. I find it annoying i mean I get brand tries to be exclusive and they are the most powerful luxury house but this shouldn’t be how they treat people. Honestly, i love their quality. I always buy online if i can, hell even their customer rep on the call center isn’t even nice… i bought many things from online store and knowing i would never a birkin or kelly but im okay with that rather than being looked down. One day when i make millions or billions, they will treat me differently which is what bothers me. I get different class gets treated differently but hermes is so annoying from the start idk

Hi dear. Really sorry to hear your story and I can understand your frustration. Also wanted to say that Hermes experience are different in different countries and continents. Some people are very lucky and some unfortunately not so lucky.
I live in London and I was always told it’s impossible to get Birkins & Kelly’s here as they get offered to high profile clients. So I did what I rarely see people do. As my SA’s were the normal snotty types (lol) I directly made contacts with the store managers and made my thoughts and wishes clear to him/her. I directly asked questions on how things work and wanted honest opinion on the Hermes games etc. I was told that there was no game and it’s your interest & love in the fashion house and relationship you build. But No games of you needing to spend X amount. I only bought 3/4 items after I put in my wish list and within 3 months was offered a birkin 30 in Noir. Also your purchase history is always there is doesn’t disappear with SA’s leaving. It’s on their Hermes system.
My advise will be speak to the store manager explain your situation and tell them ur interest. I am sure you’ll get your dream bag soon. Take care and all the best! ❤
But that's in UK, the system is different there. In Australia, US, Canada, and other Asian countries, the system is more competitive, and purchase history matters. If you ask any Hermes SA whether there is a game, of course they will say there is no game. Tgey will never admit that.

I believe here in Aus it’s very competitive whereas I know one RUclipsr that purchased a couple of things only and was offered a birkin in Ireland with veryyy little spend. It’s hard being in a competitive country

But they have not made any communication or relationships with the store manager or attempted to discuss their interest but just be intimidated. Purchase history never goes away from ur account if u change store I checked with Paris head office. Any purchase u make from any store will always be on your record under your name.
It’s not the shop assistant who decides on who is getting the bag. All your details and purchases are in their crm system. Also, if a celebrity wants one he/she will get it at once even as a new customer. There is a brand strategy behind it and it‘s decided from somebody far more up high. So don‘t spend your money on things you don’t really need or want just for your essay. Is owning Hermes pieces that important to your life?

I am pretty sure that you overestimate the importance of the sales assistant. You are buying from Hermés, not from their employee. Of course your purchases aren't "lost" if you get a new assistant. You should never buy anything from them if you don't really like it, they are so expensive.

I'm in Australia and I think it's a lot harder here, my suggestion though would be to go in and find a new SA, once you feel a bit comfortable with the new one, pull the trigger on that watch you were eyeing.

Hey dear, what an upsetting situation, what I can honestly say is don’t give up. I drive once a month an hour and 30 mins away to see my SA. At first I didn’t think it was going to be worth it but it was, now they are going to open a new store 20 mins away from me but I will still drive that hour because I have built a relationship with my current SA. You just really need to find someone you can connect with 💕

Of course, that's whay's wrong with it and borders on scamming and extorsion: you're giving them all the money they ask for, untill they're satisgied and STILL you have no guarantee that you'll be offered a purchase, because they have their own private list. Oh and don't forget that SAs compete with each other and your SA might be the one who's not getting any bags, but meanwhile, he/she doesn't tell you the truth and keeps pushing you to spend in other stuff.
With much love but you’re not liking or enjoying any of what you bought because you felt obliged to buy them in order to get what you want. They too can see it and that’s why the SA stretched you out to buy things.
My advice to anyone who wants to buy Hermès is to only buy things you would enjoy and don’t be afraid to say no .. that way the SA will know to offer you only things you want.
P.S: everything you bought is beautiful but these aren’t the usual things Hermès customers buy but rather influencers. Hermès enthusiasts usually are into their shoes and rtw clothes and then bags.
Also I have a birkin and a Kelly and after a while they’re just bags you have so don’t wear yourself out ♥️

In reference to your journey experience with that lady sales person at the Hermes store, in my opinion she did NOT have the class and sofisticated attitude to give you an outstanding service, it is sad to know that Hermes company hires mediocre individuals like this lady.
Years ago I had a similar experience with a Nordstrom employee, immediately, the next day I called the corporate office and she was fired. The proper approach will be to take action right away by calling the corporate office so they can resolve the problem.🥰

Maybe work with a personal shopper, you pay a fee around USD 500 ( sometimes more for Hermes), you get bags offered, its not ideal but you don't have to keep spending money on things you do not require, you can be pretty upfront as to what you need, maybe a kelly or a constance, certainly not easy to come by a color you want but its a start and you build from there or you get few bags and move on.

At one stage I was set on getting my quota bags from boutique but decided that it was not practical. I did not want to spend so rapidly and I was worried that once I had saved up for a quota bag (after my pre spend) my SA may not remember me anymore.
I also did attempt to buy from an SA remotely before and that was an epic fail. So I just bit the bullet and bought from resale market😅

This is not the end of the world dear, you can start with other SA you profile still present. Having good SA is a plus for getting B, K bags but spending is still most important. This is why I am telling my fan to have more than one SA otherwise this is a good case thanks for sharing ❤️

I think you are thinking too hard about it. You have bought so many items and have been offered some amazing items. I would meet with the manager about how your sales associate is moving toward a diff career path. They will help. My SA left too after years of not being offered a bag. My

I have so many items on my wishlist from many different brands including jewelry. So, I need to pace myself and buy what I truly love only.
If you go on the purse forum there are many who say it’s best not to try too hard. They believe that SA’s see through that and it may work not in your favor. I agree. Be yourself and be fun and not stressed when you go into the store. It will make a difference I think.

I am not even sure if it is legal what Hermes does. It‘s discriminating and at least in Germany a company cannot deny selling a product to you as long as you pay for it. It would be interesting hie a lawyer sees it.

I purchased a few clic clac bracelets and a pr of sandals in a HERMES store. I will admit I was carrying a Birkin 35. No SA can intimidate me. It's a STORE! You can shop or not.
Do not act thankful that they even look at you or acknowledge you.
There is no such thing as a "wishlist "! Either you and your SA hit it off or not. I spent perhaps a thousand dollars and mentioned that in the future I would love a Birkin 35 in gold.
No begging nor pleading etc.
That was my only remark. The SA went to the back to get the sandals I wanted and he said "Oh they are on sale!" Great. We exchanged pleasantries and I left.
In approximately 3 weeks, the SA called and said "I have your Birkin 35 in gold for you to offer!".
I was out of town at my daughter's wedding and of course that was quite costly. I told the SA I hated turning down the Birkin but the wedding was so expensive - I had to say no. I also said I hope I will be offered one in the future. The SA said "Of course!".
A couple months later I called my SA and told him I would love a black Evelyne (they were so difficult to get at that time).
He said we are expecting new stock.
Within 2 weeks, the SA called and said I have your Black Evelyne in the store ready for you. I thanked him and said I would come into the store.
A few days later I picked it up.
So my story is so different than these videos.
The concept of a "wishlist " is a myth.
Either the SA is going to get your bags or not!

@b Florida this is the first I’ve heard that a merchandise on an Hermès boutique being on sale. I’ve been shopping at Hermès boutiques for years and never saw anything “on sale”. Hermès used to hold sample sales in Paris and NYC but not at its boutiques.

Of course, there were no "sale" signs in the store. Lol. It was a simple pair of sandals and they were half-priced! I was shocked as well.

Man, Hermes really strings your ass along. I thought the Rolex game was bad, but Hermes takes it to a whole different, shittier level. With my Rolex, I didn't have to buy anything. I just had to wait 8 or 9 months.

This game that Hermes plays with their costumers is crazy. Like WTF? You HAVE to build a "relationship with your "SA"? And then if the SA INEVITABLY leaves, the costumer is left to hang? Also all his "dancing" of not really wanting to mention the bag, but just kind imply so that you don't seem rude or something - jeez, it's so humiliating. Where you went wrong is that you bought pieces you really didn't want to. If all you want from the brand is those stupid overpriced bags, go to the pre-loved market. If you genuinely love the brand, and you "genuine" purchases would amount to the required purchase history, go with another SA. But really if it JUST the bag, don't put yourself through this and go to the preloved market. Or give yourself a nice trip to Paris, and MAYBE you will score something there.

Continue your journey with the new SA. The amount you’ve spent can continue even with the “store manager as your SA” it’s only a bit more till u get your quota bag 👍 good luck 🍀

Girl!! Stop buying things you don't want it that hurt your feet because of a quota bag! All these money you spend on those tiny little expensive things .. i would save and buy retail. You pay more, but at least makes you money worth. 😢😊

So sorry to hear. It is very frustrated that change SA. You spent so much already, I totally understand your feelings. I am going to change my SA and will to see the new SA next month. Obviously I have to start from zero. Honestly I’m still debating whether I should continue or not? My SA transferred to other location which not in the same state I’m living, the communication became more and more difficult. Sometimes she didn’t even reply my text. So I decided to change SA but I’m so not sure about. This bother me a lot. I actually keep telling myself it is not worth to restart but other side of me really want to have that bag( Kelly 25 I. I purchased my Hermes bag on fashionphile I’m super happy with it. 😅 my SA absolutely does not communicate or offer me anything at all even though I spend money frequently. Pretty annoying. I’m still hoping to get a picotin 18 one day my store has extremely low stock so I’m not getting my hopes up. I think the only way I’d get a quota bag is if I went to another store other than my local store. I swear my local store is the most low stock and least helpful Hermes in the US. 😅😂

You may have been better off asking the manager to set you up with a new SA. The manager would be able to hook you up with someone they'd think is a good fit. If the other SA left the store, or barely was in, I feel it shows she wasn't that committed to keeping clients?...Either way I'm sorry you felt the need to buy items you didn't necessarily want. A great SA won't make you feel obligated. You should also be able to up up front with them too, in a polite manner, and get an honest reply about your wishlist.

Should start with fine jewellery and watch that will put you ahead of others. Everyone is buying costume jewellery and scarf well that will take long time to get your quota bag.

I never wanted an SA. I buy what I want when I want. It could be anywhere, any country or online. I can’t justify the so called Hermès journey. Besides this differ from country to country. I’m in Scandinavia and the pressure you describe is unheard of. If I want a specific piece I work with any SA. Worked just fine so far.

I think u r really blessed to have so many popular item offers. U know in some locations and stores, all these will set u back in getting ur quota bag offer. The leather bags and SLGs also do not count towards your quota bag offer most likely.

@@billiexluxury definitely…..just last week, one of my Hermes SA who is a selling supervisor told me he is trying to pass one of his client to one of the other SAs. Reason: the client’s wishlist is too long and hard to satisfy.

Buy pre-loved from places that authenticate. I love Hermes as a brand because the quality is amazing. Unlike Chanel. However, I don't play games. I work too hard for my money.

Ask for your account to be transferred to another SA since that one now ignores you. Ring up and ask to make an appointment to come in to speak to the manager. Say you don’t think Hermes should or would want to lose you. You are lacking confidence as a customer!!Sydney customer service always pathetic from top to bottom, point it out. Act rich. No one know how much is in your bank account. You are not presenting as a pretender or a bogan. Lol.

Maybe you need a new SA. I received multiple offers from my SA from the get go and I rejected a couple of them. It’s the SA. I love mine and just text her for my wishlist and she gets them for me. She’s 4hrs away from me and have my purchases delivered but I need to pick up the quota bags personally.

With all respect, I don't understand why someone would accept to beg to pay a large amount of money for a bag and even be afraid to say that he wants the bag. This is not a journey, it's accepting to get bullied by Hermes. I don't want an Hermes bag unless Hermes begs me to buy it and I wouldn't accept to wear an Evelyn even if Hermes pays me to wear it. It's the most gypsy looking bag ever been made which is above $10. You deserve much more than that. :)

This is what’s called SA Haggling, “trying” to build a relationship with an SA, requesting a few nic nacka here and there in the hopes of having a wish list and bags.
Real Hermes customers love the brand, frequent the store looking for new items that they love to buy, SA’s see the genuine love and these are the people who deserve and are offered bags, the purse on fleek girl did the same thing, that was mad when she “waited too long” for her wishlist items to come through.
SA’s arent stupid, they know the real customers who deserve bags first, and the fake nic nack buyers who annoy them with emails and messages about their request, when the real customers make it easier on them because they show up and just shop. You’ll on the other hand arent shopping, commissions arent really being made, yet you’ll want a back and forth demanding email relationship and feel you’ll are owed a bag, before the ones who enjoy being in the stores, and wearing the brand
