    Hey Lino! Thanks for showing off the Swan frames. We are quite proud of both the frames and the Frame Locks. The Endless 90 UFS (which you have) is also quite stiff. Elements of the Swan frame design were derived directly from the 90 UFS design. The pink parts you were showing at 4:55 are the Endless Frame Locks. And you are correct, we did apply for a utility patent to protect the IP of the Frame Lock design. The Swan Frame is covered by a design patent filing as well.

      I knew it was something else .. “frame locks”!! They are amazing… and for sure do what they were intended for.. I still think this frame may not be for everyone but those looking for performance this is for sure one of the BEST - AMAZING

      Dude you will love them.. very maneuverable and for the smooth streets over there is PERFECT

    I think the stiffest frame on the market is flying eagle's ego frame, it comes installed with falcon f6s. It has three bridges which makes the frame unmovable. I personally think swan should be compared to that and then u may realise swan is not the first stiffest frame in the market.

    • @RicardoLino
      @RicardoLino  Месяц назад +2

      Well.. a shorter frame with thicker walls made of 7000’series aluminum with 3. Bridges will be stiffer … like some carbon frames are even. Stiffer. But for this segment of slightly rocketed frames with wheels around 90mm this is by far the stiffest I have tried … and I have Ben lucky to try quite. A lot of them

      @@RicardoLino thanks this is the stiffest rockered aluminium frame. I get it now thanks for clarifying Ricardo. Keep rolling love ur videos.

    I noticed other new frames that also have larger wheels at the ends and smaller wheels in the middle (like FR Freeride), will this how all new frames will be set-up? I used to have larger wheels in the middle and smaller at the ends for maneuverability in hockey skates. How is the agility affected by having the outer wheels larger than the inner wheels?

    • @endlessblading
      @endlessblading Месяц назад +3

      Having larger wheels on the outside and small ones on the inside is kind of a unique setup. I can only speak for what I do with my Endless designs, but I approach each new frame design by defining a problem and then try to engineer an optimal solution. In the case of the Swan Frame we wanted something that had a low ride height, could take the abuse from Nicholas’ unique skating style, was stiff and responsive for precise maneuvers, provided a stable platform for confident jumps and landings, was slightly rockered for agility in tight spaces, and could roll smoothly over rough or uneven terrain. Nicholas had been skating 4x84. We felt like 90 mm wheels would give him some capability he didn’t have…like the ability to not roll over more crazy obstacles / surfaces. But he didn’t want to sacrifice the overall wheelbase (he likes things compact), and he didn’t want to increase the ride height for jumping. So we ended up with a hybrid wheel setup that struck a good balance. For most skaters I think either 4x84 or 4x90 will suit their needs, but Nicholas is a specialized skater and we really wanted to eek out the last bit of performance from the setup to enable him to push the boundaries of his skating.

      @RicardoLino  Месяц назад +1

      True about endless not inventing high low frames… they also didn’t even dual purpose frames or slightly rocketed frames. But they do it with their own taste and they invented the FRAME LOCKS

      @@endlessblading thanks for your reply. What I'm really wondering is less about the frame itself and more about what skating 90-84-84-90 is like compared to 4x84 or 4x90. Generally, is 90-84-84-90 more or less agile/maneuverable than a 4x84 or 4x90 for urban skating?

    • @endlessblading
      @endlessblading Месяц назад +2

      @@CritCommanda To me the Swan frame feels as agile as the Endless 80 with 4x84, but has a little more stability due to the extra length, and has speed somewhere between 4x84 and 4x90.

    • @endlessblading
      @endlessblading Месяц назад

      @@RicardoLino I'm not a fan of the term "hi low" to describe bigger outer wheels and smaller inner wheels, since that particular term has historically been a hockey thing...like 76-76-80-80. I think "mixed wheel" is a better way to describe these kind of setups.
