Tom Cochrane really painted a vivid picture with thiis song. You can just envision watching The Canadians coming off The Landing Boats on June 6,1944 & The Horrors they had to endure to Liberate Europe from The Nazis. Great Job Tom for The tribute. Thanks to The Veterans 🙏 🇨🇦 🇺🇲 🇬🇧 🇲🇫 🇭🇲 🇵🇱
From what I can tell. Standard tuning, Capo 3, key of Gm. The 'in key' chords are Gm, EbMaj7, Bb and F. If you're use to the chord names as figured at the nut, or zero fret, then it's Em, CMaj7, G and D using the capo as the nut. Using the capo as the zero fret, his intro frets the Em shape but he 'walks down' the 'D string' starting from the 5th fret from the capo, down to the 4th and then finally to the second fret. He does the same walk down on the 'D string' with the CMaj7 in the intro. Hope that helps.
Last night at Deerhurst in Huntsville, Ontario. A Canadian ICON. Thank You, Tom
