Dear Dave hello. This is wonderful. Thank you. Joe is still will us. He is in hospice care at his apt. He wants to pass at his home. He was allowed to sit up today. He took a nap so he could listen to this story tonight. This is a really good one. Thank you Lad. God Bless. 👵🙏
@@kjaaroe196 Dear KJ hello Love. Yes you are right. Cable is very expensive for us Senior's. And frankly I am sick of TV anyway. But I found Dave's place and I have always be in love with radio. I grew up with radio. It was very important part of our lives. I remember the day when the Japanese hit Pearl Harbor and when President Roosevelt declared war on Germany and Japan. It was from the radio. I remember the the silence and after the broadcast all you could here is " Oh know " and people scattered. I heard the announcement from a small appliance store. I was walking by it. The owner had brought the radio out for all of us to listen to the president. It was a very scary time. So these radio shows are part of my whole young life. But when the Radio Mystery Theater came on . I thought oh this is wonderful. Radio came back into my life. And then Dave showed up sharing the Mystery Theater here. It is wonderful. I am not so alone at night and they give me fond memories of Mum and Pop and my siblings who are all passed now but Joe. But he will be gone soon. But I really love this site too. ❤ 👵🙏 PS Dave checks up on me now and then to see if I am still here. So kind!!!
@@annmargaret1069 , such a wonderful history you told. My Dad was in the Army and landed at Normandie Beach. So few people today understand how our country rallied around the fighting men and how proud we were of them. I love these radio shows because they make me feel safe, like when I was a child. I especially like listening to the ones that mention they are being played for our men in uniform overseas, because it connects me to my Dad, thinking maybe he heard this one! And always wondering if my Mom listened to them like I do. God bless. Kathy
I have great memories of listening to these shows while riding with my dad in his 1960 Rambler station wagon. The voice of E.G. Marshall brings it all back to me. Sunday nights we would drive all night, taking my cousin back to 29 Palms Marine Base. Dad made the long trip almost every week, on Friday night then again on Sunday. Once in a while I would go along, sleeping much of the way. I was a teenager then, now I am 61. Dad is 93 and no longer driving. Cousin Jeff has gone to heaven. Quite interesting hearing the news about Watergate and Patty Hearst. I remember listening to KNX News Radio from Loz Angeles on our journeys too.
Listening from saint Lucia 1/7/23 1:50am this is by far one of my favorite episodes this had me rolling and laughing out so loud in my bed thank god I live alone
I enjoy listening to these with my husband in our bedroom while the kids are asleep in their bedrooms while we indulge in a fine couple glasses of red wine, the television is off, the lights are dim and the room is silent.

Love these so much thank you...used to lay in bed on Sunday nights and listen to these as my parents played them from their room. The funny side to this story?....they also listen to Sex with Sue Johanson right before too.lol....god bless their souls 🙏💜✌️
I love how regardless of their bickering Jim did all he could to protect Helen and it brought them closer together. An idle husband if you ask me. My hubby is the same way. Will protect and defend my honor through thick and thin.
Hey, 😎 if that insane doctor hadn't lied there wouldn't have been that excellent explain of how civilized people can't kill directly. It is not easy to do. That was what I thought was first. That marriage going sour total 🥈. It was lousy being lied to with a dead body around and actually made it interesting 🤔 Hmmm.

On a scale from 1 to 10 I give this a nine! Thank you sir!
On a scale of 1 too 10 I give this comment a one. Only cause giving it a zero would be harsh. Bahahaha!

So are me and skinny! 🥒😂
Another great episode to enjoy on a cold Chicago night. Bonus news brief afterward that refers to Watergate & Patty Hearst. Time capsule.
Talk about a time capsule, check out the OldTime Radio Shows on RUclips from the 30's and 40's. News breaks and updates from WW2
A rerun of this story in the late seventies was the first episode of the CBSRMT I listened to as a teen.
Love this...but this story should be called The Cabin .
Thank you for these wonderful stories!
This one was really good!!
Hello fellow listeners! I’m tuned in on 03/21/2023 from Richmond, VIRGINIA❤

Being gay is a sin. Unless your a woman using husband's account.

The female actress in this sounds a lot like Ellen Burstyn.

Report that person to the Department of Redundancy Department immediately.
@Andrew Phillips these days, maybe that's the correct grammar????
No it doesn't
