I just love the exploratory hikes and reading the land. The colonial bridge is just a wonder out in the middle of nowhere. Found a Mission Accomplished in the process. Love the video. Stay safe out there Charlie😊

I used to do a lot of this. So much fun. Out by yourself scouting the woods looking for new homesites. I've found many virgin sites and Civil War camps that have never had a detector swung over them before. Where I live near a large city however with crime so bad over the passed few years it has gotten too dangerous to do it anymore. 😢

Another monolithic, style stone bridge, that is so old, that the destination & pathway is unknown. Bolderfield work here is unquestionably the longest & and greatest amount of pieced together rock Structures, that are unrivaled, (Worldwide)!

Would you explain what the lip, footprint, etc, is regarding the cellar holes that are so abundant in New Hampshire?
    Thank you.

The lip is the edge around the cellar hole. The term. “footprint,” is used to describe how much ground space a given object occupies. When you step on the ground the footprint you leave behind can be measured and spreads across a given amount of space. So, a 20’ x 20’ cellar hole has a footprint of 40 square feet. A, “square,” is a given amount of property with the boundaries of stone walls. Naturally, a square will likewise have a footprint.
