Charlie I'm going to agree with you on your point that people such as myself will never get the perspective of experiencing that without being there. But I certainly want to thank you because through your eyes it's pretty close to being there. I'm definitely decades old and I'm able to live vicariously through you. From Ohio.
Thank you. I lived in New England woods like these and am now far away. Old cellar holes all around. But I have woods of my own, fewer mosquitoes and no ticks as yet. My heart follows along on your paths.
Wow this place is so intriguing! That bridge was a pretty solid build for such a brook. I can't help but think they wouldn't have made it this large and generously wide if there wasn't traffic there. And since the paths are erased, it must be way old. Worth exploring for sure! Great video!
When an endless wall branches into a tri-form, wall, then crosses a stream, at a Massive stone bridge, continues onward, even going under the brook, & connects all of the New England States together; yet still can't imagine how millions of Settlers spent centuries building these, just to keep the cows in; (only to have a trickle brook, wash away their 10 TON stone bridges? 🤷♂️Liked this video! Yes more walls please! 😊
After every trip into the woodlands, I would strip down in the garage and toss everything I was wearing into the washer as hot as I could get it...then, shower time... occasionally I would have to get a match a using the heat, and applying the hot tip to the little hitchhiker....They would pull out and try to get away... My wife would look at my backside and help me with removing any I couldn't reach.... once in a great while I would find one I had somehow missed....I hate the little so and so's...🤬 Anyway! Thanks for letting me share your adventures..... You have a good team with Dame and Wayne.... Stay safe and Be Blessed 😎 Glad I subbed you....👍
It's amazing how the path is there then it's not. A Colonial bridge out in the middle of no where.. The wilderness just took over the path. Very interesting Not Thursday Video. Thanks for the home Charlie 😊
Thank you Charlie for the adventure and seeing some amazing scenery ! I love seeing places that I never have seen before ! I use travel a lot mostly west of the Mississippi River but would to start traveling east of the Mississippi River ! My old age has slowed me down some now that I'm 68 !
Charlie what can I say another awesome video. This one was really good because it was just quite an adventure the entire time. When you found that stone bridge that was incredible. Keep up the great work and the great videos. Thanks again.
It would be nice to see what lidar could tell you about the ground you’re looking at. I know it would really help me on my property here in Central Florida. I know a little about the history but there’s some unknowns too.
Another great hike, Charlie! Love how you wander around and find cool things. Question: at 13:55 and 14:07, there are two red blazes on two different trees by the river and bridge. In my hiking experience, those are usually trail markers. Are those for trails in the area you were in?
I bet he's got a little buddy, following and filming while sneaking and smoking a doobie in the woods! Smokey the bear is going to get all red eyed and mad! My thoughts from WV.
Ironically I do know what that smell is like. I call it a high plastic smell. Kind of like a burnt wheel Stretch Armstrong smell. By the way I am 53 years old. I have smelled a lot of crappy stuff.
Love your videos but the quality of today's was terrible. Slightly blurry when you held still, then pixelated when you moved. Sound was fine but i sure wish i could've seen what you were talking about. 😢

Me too, from Texas.

What history hides from us only fine tunes our reception of the few clues left behind......you are a master of this!
When Mother Nature takes over she REALLY takes over.
Nice that you found that bridge. Gotta go back n dig around. Must have been a woodsy smell you smelled.!👍😘
Beautiful ! Thank you for taking us with you.

A real interesting expedition!
I like listening to your banter….smells like Star Wars figures…modern poetry, dude.
That.... was a blast!! Fun hike for sure.. and we'll worth it!!
HH!!
Need a big pad of paper and pencil and mark all the lines of stones down with notes
Nice video, reminds me of being out in the bush here in Japan

Sometimes you ever think, he doesn't really know where the heck he's at! Next time take Waynos with you!
You certainly picked a gorgeous day for exploring. Finding that bridge is both rewarding and compelling.
Thank you for a wonderful exploration. The stone bridge was definitely worth the trip on this Not Thursday. Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸
I can just imagine that place when the bridge was in use!

I think you have discovered a rare colonial Cul-De-Sac
Maybe where it gets lost… could it be a pull up/camping area for travelers? Someplace they could stop and spread out a bit?
At 10:22 in the video there is smoke, I thought perhaps somebody was smoking or vaping. Is that the related to the odor that you were detecting?
I wonder if there was a mine or a granite quarry out there that necessitated such a solid bridge
3 red reflectors on the trees by the bridge . Snowmobile markers ?
Did I see a red trail marker on the left side tree @13:55?

you should get a underwater metal detector and detect under the bridge to see what they dropped.
At 10:23 what are the wisps that look like smoke ?
That's his Cig....haha

Cigar to repel mosquitos
Remember Charlie, " Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires"!

That smell was some kind of animal musk. Maybe you scared something.

The video quality is terrible!
