- One Nation Chief of Staff James Ashby has slammed the Albanese government for being “ill-prepared” for the Coalition’s nuclear announcement as they “don’t have an argument against” it.
Opposition leader Peter Dutton announced the Coalition’s nuclear plan last week.
“They are so ill-prepared, Labor, for this announcement that they have been caught off-guard, and Labor really don’t have an argument against Peter Dutton’s very sensible plan,” Mr Ashby told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“We’ve got to have reliable, cheap power.
“The more we can inform people about how reliable power will be in this … we will not end up like a basket case electricity grid like they’ve got in South Africa.”
They don’t have an argument against common sense, actually. They appeal to the emotion driven activists.
And the stupid that believe the labour clowns
Labour talk shit all the time
Albo, Bowen Wong, and Plibersec they don't even have a clue what the word common sense means.
Not so supprising Labor have no idea on their own polices or costs .
Labor government...what a embarrassment to Australia...never ever vote Labor
DON'T SMOKE !
The pink bats scam all over again but of epic proportions.

Labor does have an argument: Three eyed fish and Iodine Tablets. That's the extent of their intelligence.
albo THREE EYES all brown at that
They don’t have an argument because they don’t understand it.
Labors has no logic
When I shopping in supermarket I decide what I need first and never compare the price between apple and eggs
I only compare the price between all apples
If nuclear wins it will come on line just as the windmills need to be replaced, perfect timing.
Labor's arguments on all their projects and dodgy legislation that they have raced through parliament since coming to power, are either practically and technically flawed or just untenable. They have yet to provide the cost of renewables, but have the gall to demand costs of nuclear. Labor are a disaster in the making.
387 billion for nuclear or 1.5+ trillion for your renewables, Plibersek. No offence but a saving of 1.2 trillion for nuclear. Cnn buy one hell of a lot of Hospitals, schools, houses, roads ect.
Not really ill-prepared ... more like not even considering it. It's Labor's idea ... no nuclear. All Dutton had to do was make nuclear his idea and that caught out Albanese and the useless Bowen.
The cost of replaceables will never end. That's why Bowen can't give a cost ... because the expense never stops.
Yes, and my guess is the money ends up in the pockets of some overseas company that avoids tax here. But given how they work, companies will always be overseas because our government doesn't give any support and they leave, then the worker is Taxed to the eyeballs. Why labor and unions still exist is beyond me, they served their purpose a long time ago, and now we are ruled by safety and insurance laws every time you want to move.
Labor are blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.
one big browneye with captain underpants on fire "kids stuff"
When has Labor ever told the truth about the costing of renewables?
Don't push Labor to spend another few million on referendum for YES or NO to nuclear vs renewables -if renewabkes loses Labor will still push it like The Voice
Renewable has ongoing costs compared to Nuclear lifespan...
@emilyjones444 solar panels and wind turbines have much shorter lifespan... 20-30 years Solar 30 years Wind 90-100 years Nuclear...
You should ask ALBO if the Lucas Heights Nuclear facility should close as "it's dangerous" hahahahahaha. Has anyone EVER heard any "costing" of Labors renewable IDIOCY.?
Never, all they did was add to petrol excise and cost of electricity, food, car tax, it's an endless list, Oh then there was all the so called donations to other countries.
Rember when microwave ovens first released, oooh they leech radio activity, well look at that now,?? Mmm 😮
Was once a Tanya P believer but seeing her stupidity on a number of issues she's totally lost me. Have no confidence in her ability to objectively handle important issues.

No super for visa holders! Simple. Stuff you unions as these back packers and students support your union numbers and you get fees from them. Rort has to stop NOW!
A local electrician told me the other day,he works at a local solar farm, they currently have a crew that service the solar farm and replace damaged solar panels, now we haven’t had a hailstorm for some time, so it’s not clear what would or could break the panels, but god help us when it does happen and this is just one farm, sure wouldn’t like to be totally relying on solar energy
KEATING THE RESESSION YOU HAD TO HAVE AND A BANANA REPUBLIC.
All childish comments from labor
Seriously Tania? Where are the costings on renewables? When in opposition your party did not gives us any costings and still doesn't.
In the wake of a hypothetical hailstorm devastating the majority of solar panels, significant concerns arise regarding the stability of Australia's power supply. This unprecedented weather event could severely disrupt the solar energy infrastructure, posing a critical question: Would Australia face a power blackout?
Currently, solar energy constitutes a substantial part of the nation's renewable energy mix. A massive loss of solar panels would undoubtedly strain the electrical grid, potentially leading to power shortages and increased reliance on alternative energy sources.
In light of such vulnerabilities, there is a growing discourse on the need to diversify and secure Australia's energy future. One proposed solution is the adoption of nuclear energy. Proponents argue that nuclear power offers a reliable and consistent energy source, capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions and reducing dependency on solar and wind power.
As Australia navigates the complexities of ensuring a resilient and sustainable energy supply, the conversation about integrating nuclear energy into the national grid gains momentum. This strategic shift could potentially safeguard against similar catastrophic events in the future, ensuring a steady and dependable power supply for all Australians.
What is Labours plan in the event of a power blackout which cannot be repaired quickly. So does this mean no power for days , weeks or months? Were all screwed , No solar power, no gas and No coal powered power. This is the great Australia.
People don't like change . 100 years ago there was resistance to a rubber tyre that held air. "The pneumatic tyre". Can you imagine the world now without the pneumatic tyre.
AND ALBO JUST GAVE THE NEW GG A 200K PAY RISE & She has only just started the job😮
Nuclear power is inescapable since it is the only feasible alternative for meeting Australia's energy needs if coal-fired power stations are to be replaced. Renewables have already cost around a trillion dollars and are unreliable, making them unsuitable for large enterprises that require consistent baseload electricity. Unless there is a two-tier system in which large corporations and wealthy individuals receive uninterrupted power because they can afford the rising prices, while you continue to experience frequent blackouts, constantly repairing your Chinese-made solar panels, and waiting for the wind to blow to power your house on a part-time basis.
It''s very hard to have an argument something which ticks ALL the boxes.
Casanova Bowen!!! Lol 😂Tanya plebiscite is just as bad !!!😂😂😂😂😂
There will be no rolling blackouts in Canberra or the affluent suburbs I bet. Its not all about costs there are other issues. How long renewables last. Pollution from decomissioning of the renewables, replacement and disposal. The environment damage and distruction. Visual distruction. Renewables get rid of them. Nulear, coal and gas.
Super is the money of the employees. Workers on short term visas either get all of their pay and shouldn’t have to pay into a super fund.
Clean coal power stations are the answer to cheaper and reliable electricity supply. Cleaner and better Environmental protection, lower costs of living and above all public safety.
they couldnt argue with a statue!
Tanya Plibersek is saying the nuclear power stations haven't been costed... Will Tanya tell us what are the costings of the wind and Solar farms in total?
At this point in time nobody knows how much nuclear power stations will cost, but whatever the cost, they would cost just a fraction compared to the tens of billions of dollars that have been spent on wind and Solar So far!
It's too expensive and too slow
LABOR ARGUMENT IS JUST NO ........WELL LNP WANTS A DEBAT AND LABOR CAN'T SO I GO WITH NUCLEAR EVERYDAY
The question for school children? How many 100watt solar panels would it take to make 1x 100w Solar panel?
Information from Bowen is a joke …
The clown has absolutely no idea about his portfolio…
A train wreck in motion !!!
LABOR VO...♥️
If they get an entrenched anti nuke position they will be evicted from decisions of how they will be designed, where they will be built or any detail for that matter
If we debate nuclear fission energy, we’re falling into Peter Dutton’s trap. Nuclear fission energy is an expensive fantasy, easily dismissed.
yes labor doesnt have an argument it has several arguments Sly is a bad joke
This Ashby guy a very strange One Nation person. Does not seem any sort of battler like Pauline. Does not seem much in touch with regional Aussies. Ashby is just waiting for Pauline to go so he can take over.

27 tonnes a year of nuclear waste per plant, thats nothing to smirk about
@thetallpaul well I'm an environmental scientist so it's me who will be employed by Dutton to clean up the mess of nuclear waste, just like they do in France or USA
What utter bs, try on average 1.2 kg, much of which is recycled and reused in other types of nuclear plants.
@@carlurbananimalswho will be employed to clean up the thousands of acres destroyed solar panels in America. That's left the area classified as toxic wasteland for life.
@@rogermckinnon5738 okay your farm must be really productive with how much time you spend on nuclear, and you're such a nerd that you have swearing attacks over someone else's job
@@rogermckinnon5738 that would be a labor issue
To the Australian fairdinkum people Say s IAM that Iam Amen and amen
Reactors have to run at full swing. Either you have them, and stop everyone's rooftop solar feeding in, and stop the wind, or you don't have them and build gas.
We need reform on super not being paid to workers when businesses go broke. It's disgusting that companies get away with withholding payments to workers' funds / wages when they know that they are going under.
Only going broke because of labor an taxes, need to look harder.
Well if it doesn’t fit then stay away. Other countries dont offer anything
The renewables sorry toxic disposables will cost trillions my electrician has worked on big power systems and it is impossible to just put toxic disposables into the grid as it puts massive surges in the grid which blows up infrastructure it hast to go through batteries so look at batteries Adelaide $90million that runs Adelaide for 7.5 minutes work out the math’s for 12 hours over 1.3 trillion that is without charging the things this has already happing in Darwin we have soler farms already to go every time they try to connect them it fails you can’t beat the electrical physics also labor hasn’t allowed for replacing the whole power generator system every 20 years and maintenance etc
That's because the LNP don't have a plan... Do you know how much water it takes to cool a reactor? **For example, the typical 1,000 Mwe nuclear power reactor with a 30ºF ∆T needs approximately 476,500 gallons per minute. If the temperature rise is limited to 20ºF, the cooling water need rises to 714,750 gallons per minute.** TRY THAT BY 7 REACTORS
With cloud seeding water isn't a problem now is it Dim you never think and if you do it's 20 years to slow you dial up m***********😂
fake news
The water use is comparable to a coal power station. If you understood how steam generators work and the similarities between existing coal and nuclear powered generation regarding water use and steam, you would not think that this is a problem.
Australia is surrounded by water.....Honestly you activists are so out of your depth its embarrassing ...lol
Rectors have to run at full swing, if their built they'll have to stop rooftop solar, or invent the world's first instantaneous reactor that will suddenly spool down at 10am when solar power starts cranking.
labor is basically treating us like fools , crossing their fingers and hope we the people don't catch on !! for TP to say that after labors 2 years of denial / spin on the cost of renewables, WTF , that is astounding and there response to a debate that's needed, shows of how pathetic labor and the greens really are!!
Don't be surprised, it's the tactics used by the thuggery and intimidation to their members that follow them blindly, sad really.
