Ford should definitely hire Sesks as a full time driver. Way better performer than Munster. Sesks and Fourmaux combined could be a way better success story for Ford than the current driver combination. So if M-Sport would have the finances, then Sesks to be atleast as a 3rd driver till end of this season on every event. Way more points to be gathered then right now with only Fourmaux who deliveres.
Hi Hollie really hoping your doing more rallys this year So sorry for Martin he was just super all rally really hoping to see him back in a rally 1 car this year Thanks DirtFish for doing a fantastic job
It's not a heartbreak for Martins, But for M Sport because their car failed. Martins showed the world what he's capable of today. And I hope we see more of him in Rally1 next season or even this year already.
I don’t get all the drama about part-time vs full time drivers and the complaints from some about what a driver “should” be or how committed they should be. Part of what makes rally so special is how much it shows everyone as just a human. The hardships and unpredictably on and off stages are all part of the challenge. If a competitor shows up and does the job then they deserve the credit
4;55 looks like a Rally Jordan Martin Sesks is a new star I don’t know why Elfyn Evans & Thierry Neuville driving were so bad in Latvia So the Ott Tanak is world champion 2024 ? Dirt Fish thank you & Congratulations You are the best Rally channel in the world !!!
I bet Tänak's bad luck is behind and will win the championship. Neuville just can't do it even with team sacrifices Lappi year after year. This is also year when Evans has the chance. Should use it, Kalle is back next year 😅
In terms of championship, Rally Latvia was definitely a breakpoint. Tänak only 8 points behing Neuville now. And Neuville´s biggest issue is comparing himself always to Tänak. Its going to be his stumbling block. Tänak is in way better position as a chaser than Neuville. I bet Rally Finland will be a decider this year.
Road position, my friend, that's why Neuville and Evans weren't keeping up in terms of pace. It's always a big disadvantage in gravel (and snow) rallies if you are the first to drive a stage. The second driver usually also suffers quite a bit, but to a lesser extent, since the first car already "cleaned" some of the road. Not much you can do about it. That's the situation you have to live with. The roads you are going to drive on will have less grip when you drive on them than when your competitors will drive on them.
@@3M46DN1M Not sure what point you are trying to make tbh. I gave an explanation as to why the pace of Evans and Neuville wasn't on par with the guys who were in front. And you immediately make this about Neuville... Also comparing gravel events is pointless, especially in this case, since Latvia is a completely new event in the WRC. So, basically new roads (no benefit from previous pace notes or experience of the team to rely upon) combined with the more slippery conditions for the first drivers. Unknown roads and slippery conditions will result in worse times than if you would have these types of conditions on a rally you are already familiar with (like Finland, Italy, etc.).
Great rally and great coverage from Dirtfish as always. For Martins I dont think as a heartbreak - for me he is a future champion - the breaks and the retirements are just a part of getting experience. And for end - great work from all the girls and guys at Dirtfish - you are my source for all that is happening in a sport that we all love and admire.
Get Martins either a part time WRC ride next to ERC or as development rider in a full WRC season (maybe Rally 2 to get to know the stages). I would bet, if you get him into the circuit step by step he would challenge for the championship within 2 seasons.
Bit ridiculous to argue if Rovanperä was at his best or not, 30sec lead after 8 stages...yeah, just driving trough, not particularly great all the time :D
Martins has had the moment that George Russell had in F1 at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, when in a one-race promotion from Williams late in the season he took the lead and kept it handily in an ill Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes, but had two punctures at the end. No he didn't get the intended trophy, but everyone knew from the performance he'd put in on his end that he was made of the right stuff. Now he's Merc's driver full-time.
Just once, I would like to hear a WRC driver in a post race interview...Look at the camera and say. "Shit, do you know how much fun this is? " Hopefully, That might happen at rally Finland. To drive home my point.... Petter along with his driving skill and his smiling personallity were a good portion of the reason I have owned 3 SUBARU's . In the mean time , My family and I rely on your excellent "Dirt Fish" coverage of the events. It is honest to say that you help make BOMBING ALONG on gravel roads fun. All the best for continued success, keep up the great work !
@@DirtFish Thank you so much to all the DirtFish staff for all the work that you do at every WRC event. Your efforts are informative, insightful, and entertaining🍿. Best motorsport channel here eh!
everything is looking bad for Toyota this year now that their best drivers are part timers. This is the best chance for Hyundai to get both titles. I can already imagine them doing the advertising they dreamed of for years.
I don't see this as a heartbreak. This was a very successful week for Martins and we now have a guy that has high market value on the drivers' market.

He took it so well aswell. This kid is clearly made of the right stuff. No doubt he'll be a rally1 winner one day
What a CRAZY week in Latvia! Thank you to everyone who welcomed us here, we hope you enjoyed the videos! More to come this week 👀
Great coverage as always dirtfish! Thank you for keeping rally racing accessible.

Yes! More Seks, sorry Sesks, to wrc! Fast, humble and funny guy :) Greetings from Finland, see you there next!
Congratulations on the great work in Latvia. It has been a very good rally.
the banner was great work too! :D
Excellent dirtfish, the voice of the wrc

@@tominatorxx Rovanperä was never THAT slow even with plowing all the time. Neither was Ogier. Neuville should stop crying and focus on driving.

If Kalle wins in Finland he'll reach 15 WRC wins 🤯
5:34, very wholesome
You guys should bring Hollie along to all rallies!

Terribly unfortunate. However he proved there are many good days ahead of him. Martin, and all those associated with him, should be very proud. 🇱🇻
Good to see 3 Fords in top 10.
Come on Evans..🎉🎉🎉
Bit ridiculous to argue if Rovanperä was at his best or not, 30sec lead after 8 stages...yeah, just driving trough, not particularly great all the time :D
I was just thinking the same! Kalle and Jonne absolutely took off and never looked back.

I think Šesks was the one driver in Rally1 which gave that smile and positive atmosphere.
Martin's looks like being the next Craig Breen someone who shows he enjoys his Ralling
Hollie you are my favoritt but Colin is a good number 2 hehe 😘🤠🤠
💀
Fly stuff
Should Msport setup a GoFundMe for Sesks? He is needed in Finland
So Hyundai, Seb is coming 👻

Toyota will fight for manufacturer tittle
we have a opera singer about the same age, who looks as Hollie. only she is blonde
They gonna put too much pressure on Sesks before he is ready. He is not ready today as we saw how Tänak cooked him whole morning.
10s late
