Taj started when he was 7. There's an interview where he said he used to practice his scales while watching TV until he could do them without thinking about them. He would practice 8 hours a day. His dad would put on backing tracks and Taj would make up solos on the spot.
I think Taj decided when he was 3 after seeing AC/DC from sitting on his Dad's shoulders to see , that he wanted to Play the guitar like that when he grew up ❤️
Taj was 6 when he went to the concert and he got the guitar on his 7th birthday. He just plays like someone who has been playing since he could walk! There's the cutest footage of him with a toy guitar when he was a toddler that his grandmother posted recently.
Been following Taj since he was 9. Am a classic rock and blues fan. He’s an amazing talent! Got tickets to see Taj at The City Winery, New York City on June 2. Front row table! Can’t wait!!
This young man has grown up quite a bit since I saw him on AGT and actually before that. And I still wonder about the rest of his family how musically they still are inclined. Because he also had a younger sister I think it was who was playing as well
So much growth in this last year, early career and nothing but up from here. A lot of effort, practice, discipline on top of that innate musical connection. Love it!
The young man is highly talented! I wish him a long life. (I imagine that I can sound almost as good if no one is listening besides me, but I have experienced the connection between soul and fretboard). Fair winds and following seas to all.
