I remember the docklands festival in Hartlepool, July 1985.Eric walked into the festival ground on his own, went straight to the beer tent, came out minutes later with a pint. Walked straight to the front, had a few sips and put his beer glass on the side of the stage and started headbanging to the music. Everyone else was sat on the grass trying to look cool, but Eric was actually the coolest person there. He was very friendly and always said hello when I saw him on Linthorpe road.

me mams uncle jackie parsons was a legend so ive heard
I knew jackie back in the 60s and yes he was a legend also a real good friend to have he helped me out several times
