      Ohh no! It really is a nuisance to deal with. Best to avoid it. I think I may have gotten a small patch on my foot while filming this video in sandals. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

      @@thesunnyedge oh dang. That stuff. Hope it goes away soon. Family joke was if I heard it's name or saw it I would get it because I would had it so much I would start to itch. Lol

    I’m happy that we just don’t get poison oak over here. Stinging nettles are about the worst here lol
    I do remember being on prednisolone for something else though, about 20 years ago. I ended up taking for about six months at quite a high does. It was fine short term but taking it long term was horrible. Massive weight gain and almost impossible to get any good sleep. It did it’s job but I was happy to get off it at the end.
    Great video as always and useful to know should I ever get to visit somewhere that this plant grows.
    Thank you 👍

      Oh wow, that IS a long time to be on a steroid! 😳 They are powerful drugs but like you said, can really mess with your body long-term. Glad you were able to get back to yourself! I’m sure weaning off of it was another story all together.
      Ahhh that’s nice no poison plants! Lucky! I’ve actually heard of the stinging nettle eating competition in the UK! Lol 😆

      @jaynbob42 3 года назад

      @@thesunnyedge Yep the weaning off was long. I think my highest was 80mg a day and it took the best part of two months to step the dosage down to nothing. But I’m not going to complain as it worked lol.
      Haha yes. Because of the way the nettles grow their poison needles, it’s possible to hold them and eat them without getting stung. I’m not going to test that though 😁 Nettle tea and nettle soup are also both eaten over here. I can’t say I’ve had either of those though.
      There’s very little over here that’s poisonous thankfully. The Adder is technically but very mild and also a very rare snake these days. Wasps are about the worst of it here.
      A bad tempered badger or an unhappy hedgehog are about it 😂

      Haha who knew the UK was such a mellow non-poisonous country. I sure didn’t!
      And oh my goodness, 80 mg a day! Glad you were able to wean off safely and successfully in good health!

    During hiking I somehow came in contact with poison oak. Probably because my dog came in contact with it and then I touched him and afterwards I touched my face... Now I have rashes all over the lower half of my face. So both my cheeks up to my nose, my chin, my mouth, everything is covered in rashes and blisters. Luckily my eyes are not affected. For two weeks it was all red and it looked really disgusting🤢. Now during the healing process the blisters are almost gone or have diminished but they have left such orange/brown spots all over my face😒🤢. The rashes are also no longer red and itchy but they have also changed their color to orange/brown🙄. This just looks extremely ugly hahaha from a distance you would think I have a beard😂😅 because it's still all over my cheeks and my chin. At least that's what some people told me😂🤷🏻‍♀️. Is there any way to speed up or skip this stage of the healing process? It is really unpleasant and awkward.

      @@thesunnyedge Haha yea it IS a nasty case😅 But is there anything I can do to accelerate the healing process?? Or should I wait until it goes away on its own? Because I'm telling you I literally look like I have a beard on my face😂 with all these brown and orange spots on my cheeks and around my mouth haha😂. And people give me weird looks🙄😒...which is no surprise😅. It reminds me a bit of perioral dermatitis only with a different color.
