How is the electricity produced which powers the electrolysers...? Assuming you mean 20% by volume is added, surely the calorific content per unit will decrease when hydrogen is mixed with natural gas as hydrogen is 5 or 6 times less dense at the same pressure & temperature and will act as a dilutant. No mention either of the nitrous oxides - which is a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 by a factor of 300 - given off when burning hydrogen alone but increases sharply when other gases are burnt with it as here...
Could you buy an electrolysis that can make hydrogen gas for your gas force air or boiler to burn to heat your home? Would hydrogen burn at the same temperature as natural gas?
Why would you want to take cars off the road..? We don't all live in the town. Just make the internal combustion engine run on hydrogen. The problem doesn't lie with motor vehicles, but it's easier for the government to put blame on the motorist. Have you seen the way politicians travel ? Aircraft, large engined cars....
