This song is magnificent. The melody is simple, but the whole result is blissful. The feelings it brings remind me a lot about Yoko Kanno's "Run, Wolf Warrior, Run". Both the melody and instrumentation are simple, yet it manages to grow deep inside the heart. Only geniuses can achieve such a thing. Nightwish always comes with great surprises.

That is exactly how it goes!!
For me, while listening to my playlist that gets filled automatically with music by multiple artists:
First hearing, first half: "WTF, is this a joke? Who made this and why is it in my playlist?"
First hearing, second half: "Oh wait, 'Islander' with lyrics is similar to this, isn't it? This is probably Nightwish." and then: "Hm, if you took away the chliché lyrics, this could actually sound pretty good."
Second hearing, knowing that it's Nightwish: "Yep, there are some pretty nice parts in this!"
Then I listened to the instrumental version instead and it's actually pretty good!
nightwish songs seem to have 2 amazing per an album, and then the rest is support to show how good it is, my issue is that the list on spotify shows that the support songs get more attention then the best per an album

The imagery in this video is beautiful. And the vocals are really not like we all have been used to hearing from Nightwish. Well, I am just going by THIS SONG since this is the first song I have heard so far from this new Cd from Nightwish. In my dreams I'm at Nightwish concert and when the solo starts I grab some girl standing next to me and just dance with her.
And although this album is perfect this song still stands out. It's like an essence of joy.

everything about this song damn cool very uplifting but they definitiely incorporate quite a few different instruments and how they married that with the colors and sounds of a symphony with flutes that pipe that troy plays i think its welsh sounds beautiful. then took and incorporated sounds and elements in their music that haven't been heard in heavy music or of contemporary music at least since the psychedelic 60's and 70's and songs like my walden our decades in the sun as as someone who has seen a majority of their live performances and they are very good and pretty bad ass always brings their A game.
Okay, so, Nightwish has a new CD out? What is the lineup? I am happy to see that there is New Nightwish music out now.
This has been out for a year already. The lineup has obviously changed recently by Marco's departure, but they haven't announced the touring bassist yet.

Not a re-upload. This is on Nightwish channel, the other "upload" was not (Nuclear Blast). Probably something to do with publisher/label contract rights (I am guessing)

Plusses first. This is an absolutely superlative production job - the sound through my headphones was absolutely excellent. The lyric video is similarly great. The problem is this rather sickly-sweet lighter-waver of a tune is pure pop and for the Nightwish diehards only. Other rockers needn't bother with this one.

Nightwish should respect all their fans including those who are Christians. I am a Christian and I am not gullible or naive or uneducated. There are tons of cold hard scientific facts that prove that God is real which proves that Atheism is a religion of unbelief and teaches people to look down upon those who do not agree with them.
This voice is not captivating, Sorry Nightwish but you were better.
