Im late to this party, but I just had this thought so... First Ill go over my previous assertions(as they apply to your video), and then get to that thought where it applies to the video. 0:32 *"...And her absence in the present Diamond Authority Logo..."* The Mural for Pink Diamond shows that Earth was her only colony. It is possible that Pink Diamond existed on Homeworld pre-Earth and just didn't have any colonies, but that is unlikely. More likely is that Pink Diamond was CREATED on Earth. This also adds up in regards to the Diamond Authority Icon, because it means that all the Icons we see pre-war are in fact NEWER than the ones we see post war. With Pink Diamond being shattered on Earth, then Homeworld would revert back to the OLDER 3 Diamond Icon. 1:52 *"...Its hard to not only defy your superiors, but kill them as well..."* Thats not even remotely true, even for Gems. Peridot wasn't on Earth for even a year, and with the CGs for no more than a few months before she decided to defy her Diamond.(and a single year is a raindrop in an ocean to a Gem's lifespan) Its obvious at this point, that gems have minds of their own and that even within the same Gem Type they have different personalities and ways of thinking. Jasper, and presumably many other gems originally owned by Pink Diamond, was transferred to Yellow(and probably other) Diamond(s). But you know? There is PRECEDENT FOR THIS. The Mirror Lapis was trapped in, and Lapis's ability to show events through mirror like reflections in water. Its probably not the same exactly, but Rubies might have some means of conveying the EXACT events they have witnessed but without being fully aware of them. This would even tie in with Sapphire's Future Vision and how it plays into Garnet. It could explain how Sapphire's original prediction about the Rebellion was incorrect. For Garnet, Ruby provides a more exact view of the events that Sapphire's Future Vision uses. Basically, Im suggesting a Rubies intelligence and gullibility are divorced or separate from their ability to convey the events they witness. I mean, it doesn't matter what a Ruby BELIEVES they saw because their Superior can just make their own assertions about the report. Its is only important that the report itself is accurate. How did you conclude that Pink Diamond was Homeworld's LEADER? Earth is her only colony, and the other Diamonds clearly have more territory and control than her. Destroying one leader out of A GROUP of four is not going to end a war. You need to destroy the enemies ability or will to fight to end a war. Jasper is unaware of the cluster, and still relishes in the opportunity to get revenge. She considered it practically the only good thing about the mission. So then why would she leave Earth during the war in the first place? It certainly wasn't the Corruption Song, she believes EARTH is what is corrupting the Gems. I agree it was because she believed PD was shattered and was ordered to by probably Yellow Diamond, but I think it was because PD was ACTUALLY shattered. The events for this bit would basically play out the same either way. 6:18 *"... one of the bubbles has a strangely Diamond like Gem inside of it..."* Every Diamond we have seen so far has the EXACT SAME CUT. And the Gem in that bubble is NOT of a Diamond's cut. Even the MURALS are consistent with the Diamond's cut type. Between the four murals AND the two actual Diamonds we've seen the cuts are ALL the same. In fact, and I may be wrong so many to check but.., Im pretty sure NO non Diamond Gem shares the cut that the Diamonds have. I may be wrong tho, because guess what? We HAVE seen a poofed Gem with a Diamond's cut. That also happens to be ... *White*. Pink diamond was never shattered because roses sword was made to deform the gem not shatter so in that thought pink diamond was never shattered by roses sword so bizmith must of done it with the weapon made to shatter gems But then again rose refused to use it that's why he was bubbled so again pink diamond was not shattererd by rose there for someone else had to do it because In the Trial Blue diamond said it was with a sword But it never happened with the sword because the sword cant shatter gems. finaly I hope every understands this now xD

It was confirmed in 'That Will Be All' and 'Steven's Dream' that Pink Diamond was shattered by Rose Quartz. BD tells Greg she was very close when it happened and the same Yellow Diamond says, and I quote; "She was shattered by a Rose Quartz, all the cut of gems deserve the same fate".
When she say « verry close », it was about her relationship, not their position, i think. And the fact that the diamonds says pink diamond was shattered by a rose quarts dosen't mean that really happened, just that everyone think it was the case. For me, nothing was confirmed yet :)
But it's not referring to a specific gem. Since Rose Quartz is a real life gemstone, it is a gem classification, not the name of one gem. It works this way for everyone, but you can see it the most in Pearl. Everyone calls her 'Pearl", but that's just what gem she has. We see multiple other Pearls in the show.
The sword cannot shatter, it only gets rid of their physical form. And in the trial they say that pink diamond was shattered by the sword. SHE WAS NOT SHATTERED

I think that pink diamond was not shattered but bubbled and she new that the diamonds would try to make earth into a "kindergarten" so she asked if rose to bubble her to make the diamonds go after her so then when she got to earth she made Steven to cover her tracks

One thing I always hated about Steven Universe theory's was the simple fact that no one ever paid attention to time periods of time in general they never think that something could have happened before or after it just seems like things happened all at once. You are the only person I've ever watch who thought about a timeline and what could have happened before or after someone's actions and the consequences. I'm happy

Basically, the rubies saw Rose shatter Pink Diamond's statue. That's why there were no guards or anything to stop Rose; it wasn't actually Pink Diamond. But in the war, maybe Rose poofed her Diamond by accident? Then she bubbled her Diamond to keep her safe, or to keep her hidden. But are Diamonds even poofable? Why is Yellow Diamond so suspicious in The Trial? Why did Rose smash the statue in the first place? Did she have something against her Diamond, but didn't plan on shattering her?
I see no reason to doubt the presented facts, if both Garnet and Pearl say she shattered Pink Diamond, even seeing how it upsets Steven... I don't see how it couldn't be true, plus Rubies are dumb, yes, but destroying a statue to trick them into thinking you hsattered a gem? That.. seems like a stretch. Yes Rose was against shattering... but this seemed to be treated as a last ditch, no other way to win, final option. Something she hated having to do, but knew had to be done, and it does mesh with the Bismuth thing, because bismuth wanted shattering Gems to be the first, and only option, and was going to use it agsint the soldiers, Gems just following orders, who might be able to be turned around. Versus on of the Diamond's, the ones responsible for all of this. And only if you had no other choice. So no, I am sure she shattered pink Diamond. ..... HOWEVER.... that doesn't mean she didn't gather the shards, and later on secretly repair and bubble her, this is Rose "She of the healing tears" Quartz after all.... Publicly shatter her both to take her out of the picture, and send a firm message, but regretting the act, undo it later.
I have a theory regarding why Rose chose to sacrifice her physical form. Plain and simple: Life got too painful for her. She didn't want to have to choose between Greg and Pearl. And while Pearl interprets her decision as having chosen him over her, it feels more like Rose deliberately chose neither; that she found it easier to give up her whole existence than to choose. That said, I think far too much was at stake for Rose to give up everything over a broken heart. Rose was already deeply troubled and burdened with emotions and memories that could not be undone. We know Pink Diamond was childish with a vicious temper. We can also speculate, based on her decision to showcase "trophies" in her "zoo", that she was also a sadist. As an added bonus, the "Trial" episode even implied the other diamonds may have been culpable in her shattering, which is to imply that Pink Diamond's behavior was so abhorrent that even the Diamond Authority found it intolerable. My personal theory: Pink Diamond halted her palanquin to have a one-on-one confrontation with Rose Quartz, and the Diamond Authority abandoned her to her fate. Rose did not intend to kill Pink, but Pink either attacked savagely until being shattered, or threatened to shatter another Crystal Gem (most likely being Pearl) or kill the local wildlife (most likely being Lion), forcing Rose to shatter her. To add to Rose's pain, all the others of her kind bubbled themselves in mourning, leaving her all alone, not just without "her diamond," but any others of her kind either. She probably found some momentary comfort with Greg, but once that too resulted in a lose-lose situation, she gave up in the most benign way she knew how: By giving up her existence to the creation of a being that Greg and Pearl could both love.
and one more thing, it makes much more sense that pink diamond being "shattered" was the END of the war this makes sense since other gems would be scared of a gem who had the power to shatter a diamond
Remember the diamonds are HUGE, and so are their gems. Compare the size of the pearls(who are probably about the same size as the pearl we know) to the gem on yellow when she lifts them in the song, their about as tall as a diamond! I think we would have noticed that in the basement. I like the idea of Lion having something to do with pink diamond. When we see rose in the desert (in the journal episode), she appears to be breeding/taming lions, but how does she make the step from regular earth lion to magical pink lion?
I'm always hoping that Rose IS pink diamond. I know they existed at the same time... but I feel like she shattered herself, making a lesser gem which became Rose in order to free herself from the position of authority, and to hide. Rose is all about love and with yellow seeming to represent anger, and blue representing sadness, as well as their ability to influence others in the trial, it makes sense with steven/rose being able to bring things to life.

What everyone failed to notice was that steven and pink and rose all have gems on their belly buttons. Clearly no-one drew the connections. Also did no-one find it wierd that pearl was so loyal to rose. Never raised any suspicion......
I've got two possible scenarios for you. The first is a common one. Pink Diamond is somewhere inside lion, which would explain his appearance and powers. The most likely places are either locked chest next to the tree or even the tree itself. The second is a bit more subtle. There signs throughout the show depicting the Great Diamond Authority symbol. While most of them are on things made by the Gems, there are also alot of them on modern man made things such as the tail of an airplane. This suggests that she may be in a position of power in the human world. It has been made pretty clear that Pink was incredibly fond of humans. If she had fallen in love with one to the point where she wanted to become one, like Rose did with Steven, it is likely that the other Gems would have seen it as abandonment or even treason. Seeing a way out she asks Rose to cut her with her sword that can't shatter gems in a mock fight with an audience. They think Pink is dead and Pink then free to live the life she has always wanted.
I, maybe others, forgot about what Bismuth said about Rose's. sword. In light of "The Trial", Signs point to PD either being in hiding, or felled by Yellow. I thought, and still do, that PD hid.
I vaguely remember seeing a bubbled diamond in one of the episodes but decided not to think too much into it but seeing this made me realize that it could very much be a possibility that PD wasn't shattered but was bubbled so just to be sure I googled "bubbled diamond su" and it came up right away and now I definitely agree with this theory. It makes a lot of sense
Ik this is a little late but one of the ppl that works on steven universe was asked on twitter about poofing a daimond and they said something along the lines "a daimond poofed? hahaha" meaning most likely unlike other gems they're bodies can't be poofed and nothing less then shattering them is the only way to beat them
Pink Diamond was shattered, but it wasn't a clean shattered to end the job (probably by Breaking Point, wielded by Rose) and Rose gave the biggest piece to one of her lions, and the rest of the pieces were left for Homeworld to see a Diamond was "shattered". Purrrfect cover up.
I believe Pink's shattering (or fake shattering) wasn't the kickoff for the start of the Rebellion, but the final attack that led to Homeworld's retreat and the Corruption Bomb. Blue may have been summoned as diplomatic muscle to help Pink gain control of her first colony, rather than as the new owner. And I believe Ronaldo has already told us where Pink's Gem (or Shards) is. In "Rocknaldo", Ronaldo says he thinks his Gem would be "millions of Gems, crushed and flowing through his veins." The Heart of the Crystal Gems' Temple appears to be hollow, pink in color, and has several shard-like items floating inside its structure. And we've seen smaller Gems imbue mundane objects with incredible abilities (lighthouses that can eat people, mirrors that replay any event they've witnessed, pillows that can create sand castles, etc). Who's to say a Diamond wouldn't have the juice to create and maintain multiple dimensional rooms and portals?
HOLYY!!! That pink or white diamond bubbled could be Rose considering the fact that if u flip it, it looks almost the same to Rose's gem. In more time to time again the gems say that Rose gave up her "physical" form for Steven, maybe as in "physical" they mean their bodies.
That gem isn't shaped like the one in pink diamonds' mural. Also that's an Amethyst bubble, you can tell because there is a white bubble behind it or in front of it and significantly smaller, difficult to tell with bubbles. Purple is predominantly red and blue whereas pink is predominantly red, with some green and blue light. The gem inside could very well be yellow for all we know, the Amethyst bubble absorbing incoming green light, the gem reflecting what little green light did get through and reflecting the more abundant red light, absorbing some but not all of the blue light, and then passing leaving the bubble a second time with most of the red light leaving unaffected, as well as what blue light was not absorbed by the gem, and the green light the gem prefers to reflect going through a secondary reduction.
Finally someone thinks like me, I didn't think anyone else would accept that rose wasn't a killer, and everyone saying it was confirmed should remember that everything they all know is secondhand information which is why the gems interrogated Steven on how he shattered rose, obviously they wouldn't ask if they were there, blue zircon even mentioned this. I still think they poofed, bubbled and hid pink diamond away in pinks request. Maybe pink knew there was nothing she could do about colonization and wanted to save the humans, which would explain why she was taking humans to her zoo, and asked rose to put on a show (rebellion and war) for everyone to make the diamonds give up on the earth, but the diamonds were actually going for the kill, where rose didn't want her gems to hurt anyone and only used physical damage rather than kill shots leading to gems being shattered, where other fighters wouldn't have the same ideals as rose would fight whole heartedly also. Even bismuth who was adamantly for shattering uppercuts gems only poofed lapis rather than shatter her. But I think rose, seeing all the damage that came from the war decided she would not release pink diamond back to the world, for fear of the crystal gems finding out she lied and fear of what pink diamond would think when she saw the destruction her decision caused
just wanted to add my input (i know, I'm several months late) but lion can't be rose OR pink diamond since in the episode where lars died, when Steven brought him back to life, Lars and his hair turned pink. just like lion. BUT I'm gonna guess that pink diamond isn't shattered. That actually hasn't ever been shown so far so the idea that she's still alive cancels it out IF my idea is correct. I personally think pink diamond isn't really shattered, just poofed, and the fact that they saw pink diamond there "shattered" i think her gem was still whole, just poofed, but the crystal gems (rose specifically) ended up taking the gem with her and put it into the chest in lion's mane. If her gem really was in the temple, the gems would've already found it and knows about it but since they don't really know where her remains are, they'd have to be in the chest in lion's mane
I'm not exactly a believer or a non-believer of this theory but I do think Pink Diamond is somewhere where rose would hide her, but we don't really know at this point. But regardless of which theory is true, I might have an idea as to where she is. Rose is known to store things she didn't want the other Chrystal Gems to find inside Lion's mane. She did with Bismuth, the tape from "Lion 3: Straight to Video", and lots of other stuff. If Pink Diamond was there, surely Steven would have noticed by now... Right? Well... Not if it's hidden. One thing that stands out on the little island is a big treasure chest. It's locked, and we've never seen it opened (or even acknowledged for that matter). I believe that Pink Diamond is locked inside that chest. Whole or in pieces, she's been right under our noses the whole time.
When he was explaining the statues, if you look close enough you can see the diamonds symbol which also included pink diamond which could mean that place was either a shrine for the diamonds or a meeting place for the diamonds. But clearly the crystal gems found out about that place. I believe there could have been a battle there which destroyed the place and perhaps through all the mayhem pink diamond was poofed and captured and the only diamond that didn't know about this was blue diamond and since blue diamond was so close to pink diamond, the other diamonds destroyed all the soldiers at that battle and told blue she was shattered to cover up the truth.

I know that there are theories about this but in a leaked clip of one of the new episodes, Zircon (a new gem) said that Pink diamond was shattered by Rose Quarts and in front of her Entourage. If there were witnesses, it kind of makes it hard to make this theory official
in a few episodes on one of pearl's suits it shows a PINK DIAMOND and also in the episode The Answer pearl did not serve white diamond because of her color and gem placement it's like saying Ruby's serve a red diamond when one doesn't exist
So, there’s a lot of angst going on regarding what happened to Pink Diamond. The Crystal Gems are upset because they believe their former leader Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond to route the Homeworld Gems and send them packing off of Earth. However, over and over again, it’s reinforced that Rose believed in never shattering (killing) a gem. It was abhorrent to her. The best witness of this is Bismuth. Bismuth created Rose’s sword which destroys the illusory body of a gem but never harms the gem itself. When Bismuth created a weapon to shatter gems, Rose disabled Bismuth and bubbled her, hiding her inside Lion’s pocket dimension in his mane. Then, she locked the gem shattering weapon away in the forge never to be seen because Bismuth was the only one who could open the forge. Bismuth felt that Rose no kill policy was crippling the Crystal Gems’ cause. When Steven and the other Crystal Gems travel to the Human Zoo to rescue Greg, we see Blue Diamond in abject distress over the loss of Pink Diamond, even though it happened over 500 years ago. Yellow Diamond can’t understand why Blue Diamond is so depressed after all this time. Here’s my theory: Blue Diamond shattered Pink Diamond. Either accidentally or in a fit of rage and now the guilt is eating her up. She tells a Ruby that Rose Quartz did the deed to cover things up. Rose may actually have been present at the event. It was Blue Diamond who called a retreat after Pink Diamond’s death. Why? As she was one of the four ruling Diamonds, she should have just taken over the troops and fought on. Instead they immediately pull up stake and head back to Homeworld. Now, Blue Diamond is running scared and fears the truth will eventually come out, possibly disrupting Gem society for good. And that’s my two cents. You’ve probably got change coming.

With the latest Episodes (SPOILERS) In the trial, Steven Quartz Universe's quart appointed attorney, pun, made an amazing point. Who really saw Pink Diamond's demise? And how the heck did it happen? How would a known rebel leader be allowed anywhere near a diamond? And even if Rose sneaked into her weird floaty gem tardis, why would she just kill what (or who?) would give her so much leverage? Saying she is dead to end the war, but keeping her hostage to ward off massive future attacks that her army could not handle, seems smart to me, and most things about Rose make her out to be pretty smart.
She is shattered! In the episode 'Sworn to Sword' in pearl's fighting arena you can see all four diamonds but pink diamond's diamond is damaged with bits coming off! Why do you think in monster reunion when centipeedle drew the great diamond authority symbol, pink diamond's diamond wasn't there? Also, in the battle arena there are the 3 diamonds statue's except for pink's because it's crumbled away.
The diamond was captured way back in the episode when the lighthouse was alive!the one when Ranaldo and Lars went through their memories and apologized to one a other! I've been so irritated that no one has caught on to that!

I have a wild theory. It presupposes a number of things and probably is way off the mark but I wonder; What if Rose Quartz was set up to look like she shattered Pink Diamond. What if the Pink Diamond was really shattered by White Diamond, because White feared the corrupting influence of earth on Rose and the other gems that had joined the rebellion, and perhaps she feared Pink Diamond was going soft on the fight? Bismuth claimed Rose’s sword could not shatter a gem. Eyeball, who witnessed the event (and I assume has no depth perception), spoke of Rose’s “massive” sword, though this would be post Bismuth bubbling, and it would seem odd if Rose would use a different weapon (such as the giant sword we see in the foundry). I imagine poofing a diamond, let alone shattering one, is no mean feat, even for a Rose quartz. But why would Rose assume she shattered Pink Diamond? It seems to me that the remaining Crystal Gems do not like to discuss the war, let alone Pink Diamond (aside from Pearl recounting the battle but that is from a tactical point of view as opposed to strategic big picture). And who among them were present at Pink Diamonds Shattering? Pearl, Garnet? I would wager that neither were immediately present and that perhaps, owing to the remote location in Korea, that perhaps Rose and Pink Diamond had set up a meeting. White discovers this, and either is present at the fight or is a hidden hand in a scenario in which Pink ends up being shattered with Rose either not realizing what happened or Rose assuming it was because of her. What would be White Diamond's motive? Perhaps fear of loss of power in the face of Rose's cause and influence in gem world. If Pink Diamond went soft, so would Blue Diamond and possibly Yellow Diamond. What better way to end the rebellion and it's corrosive effect on gem society then to set up Rose as the straw man, creat a martyr, and eliminate a potential new power center in Pink Diamond. It would galvanize Homeworld, discredit Rose, her philosophies, and her rebellion beyond redemption, and allow for a reaction out of proportion to everything that had happened up to that point: corruption and then the cluster.
The Corruption happened quickly, and before even loyal homeworld gems could fully evacuate (centepeedle). Pearl speaks of a climatic earth battle, but it seams the corruption might have cut short that battle? Was it solely the work of White Diamond? Perhaps done to silence any remaining witnesses as much as an example of what happens to those who rebel and or fail to stop a rebellion, or just to simplify the situation? As Hagrid says in Harry Potter Book 5, Order of the Phoenix, speaking of his meeting with the giants and their proclivity to kill when confused: “...overload 'em with information an' they'll kill yeh jus' to simplify things." The cluster is a later project, done when no other gems are thought to be left on earth. And if homewold recourses are dwindling, and there are no crystal gems left on earth, why waste its valuable potential solely for weapon development? Is yellow diamonds choice to destroy the earth, influenced not only by her desire to erase the memory of pink diamonds loss (the whole "debacle") but also influenced by white diamond to finalize yellow diamond's allegiance to her and to make sure there remaining evidence and is repeat of the earth's "corrupting" influence on Homeworld and her remaining fellow diamonds. Has colonization been put on hold in Era 2 out of fear of other such potential influences from other worlds? We see that other homeworld gems are not black and white. There is nuance and plenty of grey. This perhaps gives a clue as to why the influence of Earth on Rose and others would imperil homeworld's hierarchy and place the Diamonds' authority (and especially, if White is the lead Diamond) in peril. This was no longer about a simple fight to put down a rebellion that was trying to prevent the destruction of earth's previous organic life and or a call for more personal freedom but rather an existential struggle for homeworld culture. As Jasper said, she “respected’ Roses tactics, so the rebellion itself might not have been the primary issue. Even Eyeball says the Rebellion at one point “went too far.” This implies a legitimacy to the rebellion at first. If White Diamond viewed it as such, and if she is the leader, as been hinted at by her moon mural and symbol placement, then perhaps such a draconian plan of action might be conceivable and needed to blunt any further erosion of her authority and homeworld values. The question is, for this wild theory to be possible, why would Rose (and the other Crystal gems) as well as witnesses like Eyeball believe she shattered Pink Diamond? Perhaps, we will gain insight into the Diamond authority, homeworld, and vis a vis, the war for Earth, in Season 5. Imagine Yellow and Blue Diamond facing off against White Diamond with Steven being the catalyst for change and discovery. Just a wild theory. I look forward to hearing what everyone else thinks. You are correct. Pink Diamond was never shattered by Roses sword, but rather she was poofed. Bismuth even said that Rose’s sword was made for a fair fight, and that it cannot shatter a gem. There are also instances of Roses dialogue that hint that she is Pink Diamond, like why would a Rose Quartz own a Pearl? Pearls are only given to the elite aka the Diamonds. So basically Rose IS Pink Diamond. Watch the episode called “A Single Pale Rose”, as well as the rest of season 5.

Remember that temple in the strawberry fields was powered by a white Diamond looking gem? for a while I thought that was white Diamond, but then I realized they would've taken her off the home world emblem if she was still on Earth 1000s of years later. this theory really gives a 100 percent accuracy for me because if pink shattered lamelessly by a non shattering gem sword by rose it really make no sense. and the story would be boring , and realizing after watching the episode over and over again i truly believe that pink is still alive bubble away from everything or HIDDEN away even from crystal gems rose has many secrets afterall.. Just watched the 1st minute of the video. "Why did Rose shatter her if she didn't allow Bismuth to use that weapon" or whatever. Maybe Rose DID shatter Pink Diamond, but that was the only time and she vowed afterwards to never shatter another gem because of how much regret she felt, and THAT's when her and Bismuth had a disagreement. "I won't allow any other gems to be shattered!" - Rose Q. Rose loved Bismuth but couldn't allow her to continue down the path Bismuth was heading. So Rose poofed her and placed her somewhere safe.
Sapphire is a blue diamond gem and she doesn't have a gem in her chest, but she has one on her hands. Quarts soldiers can have random gem placement, but this doesn't make sense for Sapphire. That is why I think the theory about Pearl being white diamond's pearl doesn't make sense. Please correct me if I'm wrong...
I know I am late in this and I have not seen so much after this but, during the trial he says that only someone like a diamond could cover it up... but let’s say everything was a setup by pink diamond.. and she was never shattered, wouldn’t she then have an easy time saying to her court members that were with her that they never saw or could speak of what really happened? I mean, she had her own court with her and she was pink diamond... she still had the authority of a diamond. rose quartz sword was made not to shatter gems but their physical form and on the new leaks to the trial blue diamond said pink diamond was shattered by a sword from rose quartz so i think rose hid pink diamonds gem in the temple afterwards hopefully we will see more into this

It's almost impossible to disagree with a cute little turtle but I think Bismuth shattered Pink Diamond with the breaking point in a fit of rage (as we saw in her episode when she got mad and attacked Steven) and Rose was unable to stop her in time, so she poofed and bubbled Bismuth and took the fall
I don't know how you see that pink diamond in a 'white' (Pearl's) bubble when there's a white bubble behind it. That's either a pink bubble made by Rose or a purple bubble made by Garnet or Amethyst
I bet near the end one of the gems will end up making the pink diamond fall and they will have to fight her and she will think that Steven is rose quartz

The Mural for Pink Diamond shows that Earth was her only colony. It is possible that Pink Diamond existed on Homeworld pre-Earth and just didn't have any colonies, but that is unlikely. More likely is that Pink Diamond was CREATED on Earth. This also adds up in regards to the Diamond Authority Icon, because it means that all the Icons we see pre-war are in fact NEWER than the ones we see post war. With Pink Diamond being shattered on Earth, then Homeworld would revert back to the OLDER 3 Diamond Icon.

I highly doubt that Homeworld is unaware of the Rubies gullibility/stupidity. Which begs the question: Why were they sent in the first place? If they are gullible enough to believe baseball is a valid bargaining tool, or a fake Jasper, yet are still expected to give a report??
But you know? There is PRECEDENT FOR THIS. The Mirror Lapis was trapped in, and Lapis's ability to show events through mirror like reflections in water. Its probably not the same exactly, but Rubies might have some means of conveying the EXACT events they have witnessed but without being fully aware of them. This would even tie in with Sapphire's Future Vision and how it plays into Garnet. It could explain how Sapphire's original prediction about the Rebellion was incorrect. For Garnet, Ruby provides a more exact view of the events that Sapphire's Future Vision uses.
Basically, Im suggesting a Rubies intelligence and gullibility are divorced or separate from their ability to convey the events they witness. I mean, it doesn't matter what a Ruby BELIEVES they saw because their Superior can just make their own assertions about the report. Its is only important that the report itself is accurate.

Earth is her only colony, and the other Diamonds clearly have more territory and control than her. Destroying one leader out of A GROUP of four is not going to end a war. You need to destroy the enemies ability or will to fight to end a war.
Jasper is unaware of the cluster, and still relishes in the opportunity to get revenge. She considered it practically the only good thing about the mission. So then why would she leave Earth during the war in the first place? It certainly wasn't the Corruption Song, she believes EARTH is what is corrupting the Gems.
I agree it was because she believed PD was shattered and was ordered to by probably Yellow Diamond, but I think it was because PD was ACTUALLY shattered. The events for this bit would basically play out the same either way.

It was confirmed in 'That Will Be All' and 'Steven's Dream' that Pink Diamond was shattered by Rose Quartz. BD tells Greg she was very close when it happened and the same Yellow Diamond says, and I quote; "She was shattered by a Rose Quartz, all the cut of gems deserve the same fate".
When she say « verry close », it was about her relationship, not their position, i think.
And the fact that the diamonds says pink diamond was shattered by a rose quarts dosen't mean that really happened, just that everyone think it was the case. For me, nothing was confirmed yet :)

But it's not referring to a specific gem. Since Rose Quartz is a real life gemstone, it is a gem classification, not the name of one gem. It works this way for everyone, but you can see it the most in Pearl. Everyone calls her 'Pearl", but that's just what gem she has. We see multiple other Pearls in the show.

One thing I always hated about Steven Universe theory's was the simple fact that no one ever paid attention to time periods of time in general they never think that something could have happened before or after it just seems like things happened all at once. You are the only person I've ever watch who thought about a timeline and what could have happened before or after someone's actions and the consequences. I'm happy

THIS IS SO ACCURATE!! I never looked that deep into it. All the points you made are so.. correct! I think this is the most believable theory out of all of them. Basically, the rubies saw Rose shatter Pink Diamond's statue. That's why there were no guards or anything to stop Rose; it wasn't actually Pink Diamond. But in the war, maybe Rose poofed her Diamond by accident? Then she bubbled her Diamond to keep her safe, or to keep her hidden. But are Diamonds even poofable? Why is Yellow Diamond so suspicious in The Trial? Why did Rose smash the statue in the first place? Did she have something against her Diamond, but didn't plan on shattering her?
I see no reason to doubt the presented facts, if both Garnet and Pearl say she shattered Pink Diamond, even seeing how it upsets Steven... I don't see how it couldn't be true, plus Rubies are dumb, yes, but destroying a statue to trick them into thinking you hsattered a gem? That.. seems like a stretch.
Yes Rose was against shattering... but this seemed to be treated as a last ditch, no other way to win, final option. Something she hated having to do, but knew had to be done, and it does mesh with the Bismuth thing, because bismuth wanted shattering Gems to be the first, and only option, and was going to use it agsint the soldiers, Gems just following orders, who might be able to be turned around. Versus on of the Diamond's, the ones responsible for all of this. And only if you had no other choice. So no, I am sure she shattered pink Diamond.
..... HOWEVER.... that doesn't mean she didn't gather the shards, and later on secretly repair and bubble her, this is Rose "She of the healing tears" Quartz after all.... Publicly shatter her both to take her out of the picture, and send a firm message, but regretting the act, undo it later.

I have a theory regarding why Rose chose to sacrifice her physical form. Plain and simple: Life got too painful for her.
She didn't want to have to choose between Greg and Pearl. And while Pearl interprets her decision as having chosen him over her, it feels more like Rose deliberately chose neither; that she found it easier to give up her whole existence than to choose.
That said, I think far too much was at stake for Rose to give up everything over a broken heart. Rose was already deeply troubled and burdened with emotions and memories that could not be undone.
We know Pink Diamond was childish with a vicious temper. We can also speculate, based on her decision to showcase "trophies" in her "zoo", that she was also a sadist. As an added bonus, the "Trial" episode even implied the other diamonds may have been culpable in her shattering, which is to imply that Pink Diamond's behavior was so abhorrent that even the Diamond Authority found it intolerable.
My personal theory: Pink Diamond halted her palanquin to have a one-on-one confrontation with Rose Quartz, and the Diamond Authority abandoned her to her fate. Rose did not intend to kill Pink, but Pink either attacked savagely until being shattered, or threatened to shatter another Crystal Gem (most likely being Pearl) or kill the local wildlife (most likely being Lion), forcing Rose to shatter her.
To add to Rose's pain, all the others of her kind bubbled themselves in mourning, leaving her all alone, not just without "her diamond," but any others of her kind either. She probably found some momentary comfort with Greg, but once that too resulted in a lose-lose situation, she gave up in the most benign way she knew how: By giving up her existence to the creation of a being that Greg and Pearl could both love.
and one more thing, it makes much more sense that pink diamond being "shattered" was the END of the war

Remember the diamonds are HUGE, and so are their gems. Compare the size of the pearls(who are probably about the same size as the pearl we know) to the gem on yellow when she lifts them in the song, their about as tall as a diamond! I think we would have noticed that in the basement. I like the idea of Lion having something to do with pink diamond. When we see rose in the desert (in the journal episode), she appears to be breeding/taming lions, but how does she make the step from regular earth lion to magical pink lion?

I'm always hoping that Rose IS pink diamond. I know they existed at the same time... but I feel like she shattered herself, making a lesser gem which became Rose in order to free herself from the position of authority, and to hide. Rose is all about love and with yellow seeming to represent anger, and blue representing sadness, as well as their ability to influence others in the trial, it makes sense with steven/rose being able to bring things to life.

I've got two possible scenarios for you. The first is a common one. Pink Diamond is somewhere inside lion, which would explain his appearance and powers. The most likely places are either locked chest next to the tree or even the tree itself.
The second is a bit more subtle. There signs throughout the show depicting the Great Diamond Authority symbol. While most of them are on things made by the Gems, there are also alot of them on modern man made things such as the tail of an airplane. This suggests that she may be in a position of power in the human world. It has been made pretty clear that Pink was incredibly fond of humans. If she had fallen in love with one to the point where she wanted to become one, like Rose did with Steven, it is likely that the other Gems would have seen it as abandonment or even treason. Seeing a way out she asks Rose to cut her with her sword that can't shatter gems in a mock fight with an audience. They think Pink is dead and Pink then free to live the life she has always wanted.
I, maybe others, forgot about what Bismuth said about Rose's. sword. In light of "The Trial", Signs point to PD either being in hiding, or felled by Yellow. I thought, and still do, that PD hid.
I vaguely remember seeing a bubbled diamond in one of the episodes but decided not to think too much into it but seeing this made me realize that it could very much be a possibility that PD wasn't shattered but was bubbled so just to be sure I googled "bubbled diamond su" and it came up right away and now I definitely agree with this theory. Ik this is a little late but one of the ppl that works on steven universe was asked on twitter about poofing a daimond and they said something along the lines "a daimond poofed? hahaha" meaning most likely unlike other gems they're bodies can't be poofed and nothing less then shattering them is the only way to beat them
Pink Diamond was shattered, but it wasn't a clean shattered to end the job (probably by Breaking Point, wielded by Rose) and Rose gave the biggest piece to one of her lions, and the rest of the pieces were left for Homeworld to see a Diamond was "shattered". Purrrfect cover up.
I believe Pink's shattering (or fake shattering) wasn't the kickoff for the start of the Rebellion, but the final attack that led to Homeworld's retreat and the Corruption Bomb. Blue may have been summoned as diplomatic muscle to help Pink gain control of her first colony, rather than as the new owner. And I believe Ronaldo has already told us where Pink's Gem (or Shards) is. In "Rocknaldo", Ronaldo says he thinks his Gem would be "millions of Gems, crushed and flowing through his veins." The Heart of the Crystal Gems' Temple appears to be hollow, pink in color, and has several shard-like items floating inside its structure. And we've seen smaller Gems imbue mundane objects with incredible abilities (lighthouses that can eat people, mirrors that replay any event they've witnessed, pillows that can create sand castles, etc). Who's to say a Diamond wouldn't have the juice to create and maintain multiple dimensional rooms and portals?

That gem isn't shaped like the one in pink diamonds' mural. Also that's an Amethyst bubble, you can tell because there is a white bubble behind it or in front of it and significantly smaller, difficult to tell with bubbles. Purple is predominantly red and blue whereas pink is predominantly red, with some green and blue light. The gem inside could very well be yellow for all we know, the Amethyst bubble absorbing incoming green light, the gem reflecting what little green light did get through and reflecting the more abundant red light, absorbing some but not all of the blue light, and then passing leaving the bubble a second time with most of the red light leaving unaffected, as well as what blue light was not absorbed by the gem, and the green light the gem prefers to reflect going through a secondary reduction.

Finally someone thinks like me, I didn't think anyone else would accept that rose wasn't a killer, and everyone saying it was confirmed should remember that everything they all know is secondhand information which is why the gems interrogated Steven on how he shattered rose, obviously they wouldn't ask if they were there, blue zircon even mentioned this. I still think they poofed, bubbled and hid pink diamond away in pinks request. Maybe pink knew there was nothing she could do about colonization and wanted to save the humans, which would explain why she was taking humans to her zoo, and asked rose to put on a show (rebellion and war) for everyone to make the diamonds give up on the earth, but the diamonds were actually going for the kill, where rose didn't want her gems to hurt anyone and only used physical damage rather than kill shots leading to gems being shattered, where other fighters wouldn't have the same ideals as rose would fight whole heartedly also. Even bismuth who was adamantly for shattering uppercuts gems only poofed lapis rather than shatter her. But I think rose, seeing all the damage that came from the war decided she would not release pink diamond back to the world, for fear of the crystal gems finding out she lied and fear of what pink diamond would think when she saw the destruction her decision caused
just wanted to add my input (i know, I'm several months late) but lion can't be rose OR pink diamond since in the episode where lars died, when Steven brought him back to life, Lars and his hair turned pink. just like lion. BUT I'm gonna guess that pink diamond isn't shattered. That actually hasn't ever been shown so far so the idea that she's still alive cancels it out IF my idea is correct. I personally think pink diamond isn't really shattered, just poofed, and the fact that they saw pink diamond there "shattered" i think her gem was still whole, just poofed, but the crystal gems (rose specifically) ended up taking the gem with her and put it into the chest in lion's mane. If her gem really was in the temple, the gems would've already found it and knows about it but since they don't really know where her remains are, they'd have to be in the chest in lion's mane
I'm not exactly a believer or a non-believer of this theory but I do think Pink Diamond is somewhere where rose would hide her, but we don't really know at this point. But regardless of which theory is true, I might have an idea as to where she is.
Rose is known to store things she didn't want the other Chrystal Gems to find inside Lion's mane. She did with Bismuth, the tape from "Lion 3: Straight to Video", and lots of other stuff. If Pink Diamond was there, surely Steven would have noticed by now... Right?

One thing that stands out on the little island is a big treasure chest. It's locked, and we've never seen it opened (or even acknowledged for that matter). I believe that Pink Diamond is locked inside that chest. Whole or in pieces, she's been right under our noses the whole time.

I think Rose may have realized, thanks to bismuth, that that was the only way to save a majority of other gems. Pink may have left her no choice.
When he was explaining the statues, if you look close enough you can see the diamonds symbol which also included pink diamond which could mean that place was either a shrine for the diamonds or a meeting place for the diamonds. But clearly the crystal gems found out about that place. I believe there could have been a battle there which destroyed the place and perhaps through all the mayhem pink diamond was poofed and captured and the only diamond that didn't know about this was blue diamond and since blue diamond was so close to pink diamond, the other diamonds destroyed all the soldiers at that battle and told blue she was shattered to cover up the truth.

I know that there are theories about this but in a leaked clip of one of the new episodes, Zircon (a new gem) said that Pink diamond was shattered by Rose Quarts and in front of her Entourage. If there were witnesses, it kind of makes it hard to make this theory official

So, there’s a lot of angst going on regarding what happened to Pink Diamond. The Crystal Gems are upset because they believe their former leader Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond to route the Homeworld Gems and send them packing off of Earth. However, over and over again, it’s reinforced that Rose believed in never shattering (killing) a gem. It was abhorrent to her. The best witness of this is Bismuth.
Bismuth created Rose’s sword which destroys the illusory body of a gem but never harms the gem itself. When Bismuth created a weapon to shatter gems, Rose disabled Bismuth and bubbled her, hiding her inside Lion’s pocket dimension in his mane. Then, she locked the gem shattering weapon away in the forge never to be seen because Bismuth was the only one who could open the forge. Bismuth felt that Rose no kill policy was crippling the Crystal Gems’ cause.
When Steven and the other Crystal Gems travel to the Human Zoo to rescue Greg, we see Blue Diamond in abject distress over the loss of Pink Diamond, even though it happened over 500 years ago. Yellow Diamond can’t understand why Blue Diamond is so depressed after all this time.
Here’s my theory: Blue Diamond shattered Pink Diamond. Either accidentally or in a fit of rage and now the guilt is eating her up. She tells a Ruby that Rose Quartz did the deed to cover things up. Rose may actually have been present at the event. It was Blue Diamond who called a retreat after Pink Diamond’s death. Why? As she was one of the four ruling Diamonds, she should have just taken over the troops and fought on. Instead they immediately pull up stake and head back to Homeworld. Now, Blue Diamond is running scared and fears the truth will eventually come out, possibly disrupting Gem society for good.
And that’s my two cents. You’ve probably got change coming.

In the trial, Steven Quartz Universe's quart appointed attorney, pun, made an amazing point. Who really saw Pink Diamond's demise? And how the heck did it happen? How would a known rebel leader be allowed anywhere near a diamond? And even if Rose sneaked into her weird floaty gem tardis, why would she just kill what (or who?) would give her so much leverage? Saying she is dead to end the war, but keeping her hostage to ward off massive future attacks that her army could not handle, seems smart to me, and most things about Rose make her out to be pretty smart.

She is shattered! In the episode 'Sworn to Sword' in pearl's fighting arena you can see all four diamonds but pink diamond's diamond is damaged with bits coming off! Why do you think in monster reunion when centipeedle drew the great diamond authority symbol, pink diamond's diamond wasn't there? Also, in the battle arena there are the 3 diamonds statue's except for pink's because it's crumbled away.
The diamond was captured way back in the episode when the lighthouse was alive!the one when Ranaldo and Lars went through their memories and apologized to one a other! I've been so irritated that no one has caught on to that!

I have a wild theory. It presupposes a number of things and probably is way off the mark but I wonder; What if Rose Quartz was set up to look like she shattered Pink Diamond. What if the Pink Diamond was really shattered by White Diamond, because White feared the corrupting influence of earth on Rose and the other gems that had joined the rebellion, and perhaps she feared Pink Diamond was going soft on the fight? Bismuth claimed Rose’s sword could not shatter a gem. Eyeball, who witnessed the event (and I assume has no depth perception), spoke of Rose’s “massive” sword, though this would be post Bismuth bubbling, and it would seem odd if Rose would use a different weapon (such as the giant sword we see in the foundry). I imagine poofing a diamond, let alone shattering one, is no mean feat, even for a Rose quartz.
But why would Rose assume she shattered Pink Diamond? It seems to me that the remaining Crystal Gems do not like to discuss the war, let alone Pink Diamond (aside from Pearl recounting the battle but that is from a tactical point of view as opposed to strategic big picture). And who among them were present at Pink Diamonds Shattering? Pearl, Garnet? I would wager that neither were immediately present and that perhaps, owing to the remote location in Korea, that perhaps Rose and Pink Diamond had set up a meeting. White discovers this, and either is present at the fight or is a hidden hand in a scenario in which Pink ends up being shattered with Rose either not realizing what happened or Rose assuming it was because of her.
What would be White Diamond's motive? Perhaps fear of loss of power in the face of Rose's cause and influence in gem world. If Pink Diamond went soft, so would Blue Diamond and possibly Yellow Diamond. What better way to end the rebellion and it's corrosive effect on gem society then to set up Rose as the straw man, creat a martyr, and eliminate a potential new power center in Pink Diamond. It would galvanize Homeworld, discredit Rose, her philosophies, and her rebellion beyond redemption, and allow for a reaction out of proportion to everything that had happened up to that point: corruption and then the cluster.
The Corruption happened quickly, and before even loyal homeworld gems could fully evacuate (centepeedle). Pearl speaks of a climatic earth battle, but it seams the corruption might have cut short that battle? Was it solely the work of White Diamond? Perhaps done to silence any remaining witnesses as much as an example of what happens to those who rebel and or fail to stop a rebellion, or just to simplify the situation? As Hagrid says in Harry Potter Book 5, Order of the Phoenix, speaking of his meeting with the giants and their proclivity to kill when confused: “...overload 'em with information an' they'll kill yeh jus' to simplify things."
The cluster is a later project, done when no other gems are thought to be left on earth. And if homewold recourses are dwindling, and there are no crystal gems left on earth, why waste its valuable potential solely for weapon development? Is yellow diamonds choice to destroy the earth, influenced not only by her desire to erase the memory of pink diamonds loss (the whole "debacle") but also influenced by white diamond to finalize yellow diamond's allegiance to her and to make sure there remaining evidence and is repeat of the earth's "corrupting" influence on Homeworld and her remaining fellow diamonds. Has colonization been put on hold in Era 2 out of fear of other such potential influences from other worlds?
We see that other homeworld gems are not black and white. There is nuance and plenty of grey. This perhaps gives a clue as to why the influence of Earth on Rose and others would imperil homeworld's hierarchy and place the Diamonds' authority (and especially, if White is the lead Diamond) in peril.
This was no longer about a simple fight to put down a rebellion that was trying to prevent the destruction of earth's previous organic life and or a call for more personal freedom but rather an existential struggle for homeworld culture. As Jasper said, she “respected’ Roses tactics, so the rebellion itself might not have been the primary issue. Even Eyeball says the Rebellion at one point “went too far.” This implies a legitimacy to the rebellion at first. If White Diamond viewed it as such, and if she is the leader, as been hinted at by her moon mural and symbol placement, then perhaps such a draconian plan of action might be conceivable and needed to blunt any further erosion of her authority and homeworld values.
The question is, for this wild theory to be possible, why would Rose (and the other Crystal gems) as well as witnesses like Eyeball believe she shattered Pink Diamond?
Perhaps, we will gain insight into the Diamond authority, homeworld, and vis a vis, the war for Earth, in Season 5. Imagine Yellow and Blue Diamond facing off against White Diamond with Steven being the catalyst for change and discovery. Just a wild theory. I look forward to hearing what everyone else thinks. You are correct. Pink Diamond was never shattered by Roses sword, but rather she was poofed. Bismuth even said that Rose’s sword was made for a fair fight, and that it cannot shatter a gem. There are also instances of Roses dialogue that hint that she is Pink Diamond, like why would a Rose Quartz own a Pearl? Pearls are only given to the elite aka the Diamonds. So basically Rose IS Pink Diamond. Watch the episode called “A Single Pale Rose”, as well as the rest of season 5.

what about those pink gem shards that Pearl, Amyethest and Steven created Secret Squad for? I think that could be zicornium, something diamond like. Remember that temple in the strawberry fields was powered by a white Diamond looking gem? for a while I thought that was white Diamond, but then I realized they would've taken her off the home world emblem if she was still on Earth 1000s of years later.
That gem in the Peridot episode is probably just a miss leading goose egg. Secret Squad is probably had threw shattered remains of pink diamond.

Maybe the only reason why rose quarts shattered pink diamond was to protect garnet?... Garnet was sentenced to die or whatever for refusing to unfuse, and that would explain garnet's crying.
this theory really gives a 100 percent accuracy for me because if pink shattered lamelessly by a non shattering gem sword by rose it really make no sense. and the story would be boring , and realizing after watching the episode over and over again i truly believe that pink is still alive bubble away from everything or HIDDEN away even from crystal gems rose has many secrets afterall.. Just watched the 1st minute of the video. "Why did Rose shatter her if she didn't allow Bismuth to use that weapon" or whatever.
Maybe Rose DID shatter Pink Diamond, but that was the only time and she vowed afterwards to never shatter another gem because of how much regret she felt, and THAT's when her and Bismuth had a disagreement.

Sapphire is a blue diamond gem and she doesn't have a gem in her chest, but she has one on her hands. Quarts soldiers can have random gem placement, but this doesn't make sense for Sapphire. That is why I think the theory about Pearl being white diamond's pearl doesn't make sense.

I know I am late in this and I have not seen so much after this but, during the trial he says that only someone like a diamond could cover it up... but let’s say everything was a setup by pink diamond.. and she was never shattered, wouldn’t she then have an easy time saying to her court members that were with her that they never saw or could speak of what really happened? I mean, she had her own court with her and she was pink diamond... she still had the authority of a diamond. But still, kind of weird we don’t know where she is now then but, maybe Rose agreed to hide her away or something? ^-^

what if bismuth shattered pink diamond? bismuth seems to be pretty colorful and she could be able to shape shift. this could even be the reason rose hid her. or amethyst did it. we seen her transform into rose before infront of greg. that bubble did look purple so yeah.
this makes more sence now given what happened in the trial
rose quartz sword was made not to shatter gems but their physical form and on the new leaks to the trial blue diamond said pink diamond was shattered by a sword from rose quartz so i think rose hid pink diamonds gem in the temple afterwards hopefully we will see more into this
pink diamond's pearl is probably hiding in either the beta or prime kindergarten.
Well with newer information, I have reason to suspect that, if Pink Diamond wasn't shattered... she may be in the chest in Rose's private area in Lion's mane.
The diamond in the bubble really intrigues me
It's almost impossible to disagree with a cute little turtle but I think Bismuth shattered Pink Diamond with the breaking point in a fit of rage (as we saw in her episode when she got mad and attacked Steven) and Rose was unable to stop her in time, so she poofed and bubbled Bismuth and took the fall

I don't know how you see that pink diamond in a 'white' (Pearl's) bubble when there's a white bubble behind it. That's either a pink bubble made by Rose or a purple bubble made by Garnet or Amethyst

I bet near the end one of the gems will end up making the pink diamond fall and they will have to fight her and she will think that Steven is rose quartz
