I have not been a subscriber for long, as I recently found your channel. However, I have a high level of respect and admiration for the way you have been so transparent and conducted yourselves in a responsible and professional way through this situation. I pray you both stay well! Thank you for the updates!
THANK YOU for staying home! As a nurse (who is completely drained mentally and physically from this pandemic) and a daughter of a current cancer patient I’m so thankful you both are being responsible. I wish more people would do this and things would be far more under control!
Most common symptoms: fever dry cough tiredness Less common symptoms: aches and pains sore throat diarrhoea conjunctivitis headache loss of taste or smell a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes Serious symptoms: difficulty breathing or shortness of breath chest pain or pressure loss of speech or movement Seek immediate medical attention if you have serious symptoms. Always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.
Sore throat is a symptom. I agree re them getting tested but it could be best to wait a few days. They also got tested with the full PCR test before getting off the ship. Unfortunately, people who can afford expensive sailings tend to be entitled. Getting a private jet...my goodness.
Yes unfortunately, the David Sally Ables (unsure spelling) on Diamond Princess had sore throats they put down to the aircon. When at at Japanese hosp, They not only had C19 but also separate tests positive for flu & a cold & and got C19 pneumonia. They need to download the Zoe covid symptom tracker app will give them the best info on symptoms & stats.
One can take a test at 8 a.m. and at 9 a.m. get infected and not even know for near 14 days, hence the quarantine. Taking a test is not equal to immunity, I suspect many forget this little detail. Glad you are both home and safe.
You can get infected today and get a PCR test three days later and still there’s a 67% chance the test will tell you that you’re negative. That’s just the nature of how this test works, and has always worked. A negative test result doesn’t mean you don’t have Covid. It just means the test didn’t detect Covid in your system. It rarely ever detects any Covid infections before the point at which symptoms typically set in (about five days after exposure). Testing has always been overrated, just as masks have been. Quarantine is the only way to fight this.
I’m sorry to tell you guys but the Americans are not really taking it serious anymore. I’m in American and I’m telling you they just not taking it serious social distancing they laugh at it mass or all of their face but never over both parts of the face. I’m glad you’re home safe
I'm glad to hear you're home safe. I love that you are both so positive about the situation and aren't name calling and throwing insults like I've seen other channels do lately. I hope that the travel industry can recover - as a travel agent and as a traveller - so many people rely on this industry. Thank you for all you do to support the industry!!
Also an American here, I also agree with you. Hopefully when Biden takes office we will have a leader who listens to the experts and reacts in appropriate ways.
I'm glad you made it home safely, sorry my fellow countrymen brought Covid onboard. Each state in the USA is setting their own standards on how to handle the pandemic, instead of following CDC guidelines nationwide. Since we don't have a unified plan that is leading to some people taking this disease less seriously than others. :(
I’m fearful. I firsthand have a best friend of 30+ years in the hospital for 8 months now. She got CoVid19 and was stricken down with a stroke as a result. She’s in her 50’s and it’s devastating to see her like this. I haven’t hugged my bestie in almost a year now. I couldn’t take this any more seriously than I already do and I’m an RN.
What an adventure! To be passengers on the first ship that crossed the Atlantic since this pandemic began. I love how transparent you guys have been about the cruise, the precautionary steps that had been taken, and the events that happened when the positive tests occurred. This cruise will help us develop future best practices for cruising during the pandemic (and God forbid, future pandemics!). Thank you for sharing the experience. I hope that you both are safe and well.
Glad you guys are back home safe. Praying 🙏🏾 for you guys. And pray that every passenger are home safe as well and pray that the passengers and employees who were infected have speedy recoveries.
Am sorry to say a sore throat is one of the symptoms. Not saying you have it and it probably is the air conditioning,.. thank you for the updates and information. Stay safe 💖
I'm your faithful subscriber & admire your courage to test out cruising for us in current situation. Truly grateful for your experience & hope cruises can continue after vaccine appearance. Meanwhile, rest well & look forward to hearing another useful episode from you both. Take good care!
I’m really happy that you guys were able to go home. This video was very informative. Thank you for this! I have not missed a video of yours. Please, stay safe, and keep us informed. I’m from Florida, staying home, until there is a good vaccine. But, we are lucky to be able to do that. A lot of folks cannot. I’m praying for all of us. I miss cruising.
From the 🇺🇸 USA , love my Country, I am sorry this happened ! We do have more than a few rotten eggs. I have to say. I hope everyone fully recovers. Just letting you know that my wife and I are still at the Isolation facility and will be here until the 22nd. The group of five stopped in Miami and attended a big party Friday night before flying to Barbados on Saturday. Likely place where they picked up covid.
Oh my gosh Lou we didn't realise is was you! We hope hope that you guys okay. Stay in touch and let us know when you are home safely! If you prefer email: ahoy@cruisewith.co.uk ♥️

I’m completely understand your fear. I’m afraid too however, I have booked for 2/22 with a group of crocheters. Am looking forward to it especially after quarantining. I’m still not 100% sure it won’t end up being cancelled but I can’t live like that. I live alone and haven’t gone anywhere in 8 months. I need something to look forward to.
Just watching the live stream the next day ! Glad you are both home. Looking forward to seeing your bouncy, happy faces again sharing your videos with us in happier times in the near future. Take care, Buzz
I'm glad you guys are ok, but you have to stop applauding SeaDream's so-called “rigorous” health protocols which did not even require passengers or crew members to wear masks. That is not rigorous.
The “pass arounds” they described in an earlier video didn’t sound very rigourous either. How many passengers have been within six feet of this pizza stick before you put it on my plate? Just because they test often doesn’t mean it’s rigorous. Look up the false negative rates of those PCR tests for a clearer picture.
Glad you are both back, cant believe you have been away nearly a month. There are lots of colds and flues going around so hopefully you will both be safe from Covid
Great show guys. Honest open and balanced. Regarding the comment that you have ' ruined cruising ' I think the opposite. So much can be learned from what has happened that it can only be a positive learning experience. Lessons will be learned, protocols will be changed and new ideas will be listened too. Hope you stay well and hope you enjoyed the pizza. Great show.
I didn’t realize the cruise was already going on and picked up additional passengers. Really hope you both stay healthy. You’re smart to self-quarantine.
I am also stout guide lecturer and took care of guests who couldn't fly from Fremantle to Losangles for a month March 21 to April 21 during pandemic was flown home on a private charter.
So glad you are home safe! I appreciate all your reporting on this cruise and it does seem like SeaDream did a good job with protocols. I look forward to the live next week! Wishing you good health!
David - if you get seasick you should try the Reliefband. It cures seasickness within a minute of putting it on. We take Reliefbands with us on all cruises and if we encounter some rough seas we just put them on and we are fine. We have "donated" them to sick passengers on past cruises and within minutes they are up and about. Crazy but it works.
When I got home I took precaution straightaway, I went and got tested the day after arriving home in February and I get checked all the time if I am worried about myself.
Glad your back home and safe. But, I've said throughout this I would have no problem with cruising....but I would flying out to start the cruise. So until flying is sorted out I may not be cruising ☹

Sore throat IS a symptom
It was one of my first symptoms!
It is, that’s why it’s confused with the seasonal Flu.
I get a sore throat from wearing a mask every time.
Most common symptoms:
fever
dry cough
tiredness
Less common symptoms:
aches and pains
sore throat
diarrhoea
conjunctivitis
headache
loss of taste or smell
a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes
Serious symptoms:
difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
chest pain or pressure
loss of speech or movement
Seek immediate medical attention if you have serious symptoms. Always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.
I thought sore throat was a symptom - you guys should get tested again. Stay well!
