- This hymn was written by Fanny Crosby, who has an incomparable ability to create visual masterpieces, though she herself could not see. It is a summary of the life of Jesus, from His birth to his death and resurrection and it has such a sweet tone, capturing the essence of His life purpose.
May we all desire to hear His story at all times of the year, the story that is our own, and the story that tells how we are saved from eternal ruin.

Tell of the grave where they laid Him, tell how He liveth again.
Love in that story so tender, clearer than ever I see;
Stay, let me weep while you whisper, “Love paid the ransom for me.”
Jesus Christ is the Father, is the Son, is the Holy Spirit! He is the Creator of us all, he is the Word, he is GOD. He is The LORD. He created the World, and entered into the World, in order to save Mankind, his most prized creation. Believing in HIM means no more fear of death. He is power, he gives us power. Belief in Christ is proven to change lives, to draw us up, when we hit rock bottom, and to give us a new life, born again. He forgives us of our past sins, and lets us live without fear, because belief in him means belief in the resurrection, in everlasting life. Peace on Earth, here Today through Jesus. Peace in the Kingdom of Heaven through Jesus Christ. Praise Jesus Christ. Christ is King.

I used to sing this to my daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It is one of my favorite songs.

I keep coming back to this hymn, years after the Holy Spirit used it to lift me up during the early years of new Christian life. I found peace after I came to Christ, confessed my sins and by faith received forgiveness. A stream of indescribable peace flooded my heart and when I would get up in the morning to pray, usually by 5am, I would be crying (out of joy and deep emotions from having my sins forgiven) singing this hymn. Many many years have passed and I keep returning to this ageless blessed hymn.
And the choir here, did a great job maintaining the traditional style. Great song, great memories! Yes, tell me the story of Jesus again and again. His story brings healings: physical, spiritual and emotional. Write the story on my heart too. God bless all those who posted this hymn that all be blessed.
