  • Turing DevMeets are regional events organized across the world that aim to connect with local communities of Turing developers and answer some of their most burning questions.
    This is a recording of the first DevMeet hosted exclusively for African developers by Malisa, Community Development Manager at Turing from Kenya.
    In this session, guest speaker Jose Durand Neto, Technical Interviewer at Turing, gives the live audience of developers a walk-through of Turing.com's vetting process and platform. Check out the video for this, and a lot more!

    That's amazing. I was preparing but I was afraid to take turing test. But now that I know I can take it again after three months, suddenly I am not so afraid of failing any more.

    I don't use to comment in videos but this kind of really deserve it. Months ago some of my friends told me about Turing and how good this platform is for getting a good job, but since then I'm been aware that this is not easy. Some of misconceptions made me feel like this is a higher stage where fail is not allowed, but it isn't!. Now I feel more comfortable because I know what I have to do and what I need to look for. It's clear for me that I'm not ready yet but now I'm more encourage, I will return to this video for giving you updates in a few months.

    • @Turingcom
      @Turingcom  2 года назад

      Hi Sudiksha,
      The odds of junior developers getting hired are definitely lower, since 80% of Turing's partner companies in the U.S require at least 3 years of work experience.
      We however routinely hire strong developers with 0-3 years experience for internal roles within Turing (and for roles with the remaining 20% of Turing's partner companies that are open to hiring developers with little to no experience as long as they are exceptionally skilled and talented).
      So if you are a junior developer who signs up and does very well in our tests, you'll definitely be considered for internal roles at Turing and roles with the minority of our partner companies who are open to hiring strong developers with less experience.

    • @Turingcom
      @Turingcom  10 месяцев назад

      Hey gunjannaik7575!
      Thank you for signing up with Turing.
      The Automated Practical Test (APT) provides an opportunity for Turing developers to demonstrate their skills and in-depth knowledge in a specific tech stack by giving small practical tasks (up to 45 mins in duration). It aims to provide signals for quantifying your talent and capability to operate in a realistic work environment. These tasks will present day-to-day routines that you may face as a developer.
      A good example of such tasks could be: adding an API to follow a user or adding an API to get a user profile or adding an API to send an email, etc.
      If you need more info about the practical challenge or anything else, please reach out to us at: support@turing.com.
      Hope this was helpful.
