Early Spring Fly Fishing Day on the Provo River

Jim and Dan fish the middle section of the Provo River near Heber Utah. It's very early Spring, they use bounce rig method because the trout are taking nymphs deep.

The fishermen work out a plan to work a long section of the stream and use two vehicles, one at each end of the chosen stretch. Sometimes you need to cover a significant distance to find the most productive places.

I love all of your videos. Thanks for the good work that you do. Now, to give me some perspective, could you tell me what a good day and what an excellent day (in terms of numbers of fish caught) would be bounce fishing the middle Provo?

Depends on the Day and what your expectations are... We have many great days with just a few fish... We have had beginners catch 50 in a day... That's excusable for beginners.
