In my case and setup it was worth definitely. Now I am very happy and it met all my demands. Before I had bought WIIM ULTRA but the sound quality was insufficient. Remember that on YT you cannot compare sound quality by leasining such examples, because in fact you are hearing your setup, sepakers, ect ... and my microphone that was recording.
@@dmcd808 Yes, on my system the difference was very big between WIIM Ultra and ES, obviously in favor of ES DSP-A6 ME (great dynamic, clarity, speed, overall quality etc...) so I reccomend it :)

@ thanks, I was also thinking of buying the ultra but now I think this will be better for future proofing
