  • Make it work like new again! Depending on the hardness and quality of the water used with evaporative coolers that utilize ultrasonic transducers, they can accumulate mineral buildup, just like the filters do! So, it can appear like the evaporative cooler has stopped cooling or that the misting function isn't working like it once was. Watch the video to find out how to clean your cooler!
Note: Do not spray any liquid into the fan or electronics of the evaporative cooler, as it can damage the unit.
CAUTION: Do not turn on the evaporative cooler while cleaning the unit, as the vinegar might damage the cooler or release atomized vinegar into the air. It is dangerous to breathe atomized vinegar. Perform this in a well-ventilated space.

Hi, so I have the pure chill, and after about 6 months of having it, it gets this really bad whistle. Is there anything I can do to fix this? The fan had dust on it, but I don’t know how to clean it. I’ve cleaned the filter, and made sure there was nothing behind the fan, but nothing I do is working. I have it on when I sleep because my room is hot, and I can’t sleep with that whistle. Any tips?

Probably if you'll use boiled (and cooled to room temp) water from the kettle, the calc will accumulate not so fast.

Interesting. How? Where does it go? Does it like precipitate out of the solution? I might give that a test! Thanks for watching!
