- Hi everyone! So I just rewatched all of Friday Night Lights and now have a ton of video ideas, and this is somehow what came out of me first. I've been working on this for weeks, and kept expecting to finish it sooner. I am not sure why when I like everyone else have been listening to Taylor Swift's new "folklore" album nonstop for a month I then decided "no, actually I'll go a few albums back and make a vid set to one of the happy romantic songs I always enjoyed"... XD
(To be fair, I did start a Cardigan vid that's multi-couples and one of the ships I decided to include was Matt/Julie, and when I realized how little I remembered their scenes, that was my main motivation for rewatching FNL. I'm trying REALLY hard to make my Cardigan vid perfect, and then got... sidetracked with this vid. ALSO... I have vidded half of the song "My Tears Ricochet" for a one-on-one collab that isn't posted yet because my collab partner hasn't quite gotten to making her parts yet, but I do need to remind myself that I did indeed actually make good vidding progress with TWO folklore songs, even if my subscribers here have no idea lol... and I intend to probably vid more of the songs from folklore too.)

I always really loved this song, it makes me happy even though I feel self conscious about loving it so much as a gray-aro, kissing averse person (the climax of the song is about the wonderful first kiss whereas all the kisses I've experienced made me profoundly uncomfortable) but regardless... I was really happy to vid this song for a couple that was SUCH an OTP of mine. I forgot just how much I shipped them, given how little I ever vidded them... but practically every Matt/Julie vid on RUclips has a gushing comment from me from 7 to 8 years ago when I first saw the series lol, showing me I definitely adored them this much back then.
I intend to vid FNL more before all my inspiration leaves me, more than just Matt/Julie but also more Matt/Julie. This vid I wanted to keep as happy as possible, the bright, joyful, sweet moments. I'm also brainstorming an angsty Matt/Julie vid to make in order to vid a bunch of the moments I also love, some of which I relate to, a little too much maybe, that were amazing and very different from the feel of this vid.
So anyway...

I actually finally purchased a New Blue FX that I've used in pretty much all my colorings for the past... idk maybe a decade. It feels like forever lol.
I noticed over the course of making this vid how Matt & Julie don't walk holding hands ever, pretty much, but hold hands a few other times... or how rarely Julie wears a dress! I noticed various interesting things and really feel a strong urge to write Matt/Julie fanfiction now too. XD

This was awesome... I have been binge watching FNL again. These 2 are my favorite just glad it ended with them together. I love how you used their voices from the scenes and the words scripted out. This is one of the best and favorite Matt & Julie vid's.

OMGGG I was not prepared for this! Wow these two were always my otp of the show but I gotta be honest I haven’t watched it all the way through in maybe 7 years and some of these scenes were so unfamiliar to me I’m so disappointed in myself!! Clearly this means I really need to do a rewatch of this amazing show, and this gorgeous video is really inspiring me to do so. I needed the the push thank you haha! It turned out amazing!! I love this choice of song for all the dresses and dances especially and the overall happy feeling of it. Julie's smile pops out so much and just adds to the feeling. Watched it twice already :D

First of all this was amazing, and second of all, i really need to rewatch this show because i remembered like maybe half of the scenes in this video. I really love the choice of the song and just how sweet this was.

This is a really sweet vid! Very well edited, love the coloring and the voiceovers were blended really well with the song! Great job on that! As you know, I didn't watch the show so I can't comment on lyric matching or scene choices but, knowing you, I'm sure they're all great matches contextually 😊

Aww I love this so much these 2 had my heart from the start and knowing the end up together gives my heart peace as I will continue to watch fnl (I started in like 2015 but never finished)
Season 4 is pretty painful but season 5 is like my favorite for them despite the limited number of episodes containing Matt. I'm so happy with how they ended and how they got so much in the finale even if the other 2 ships that needed to be endgame were... Not :(

This is SUPER CUTE. I wish I had more of a POV on FNL than I do. I can remember seeing maybe a few episodes, but it never got that far. I can't remember why. I do remember them though from other things in your channel and in general in the fandom world. They seem adorable and using Taylor music really helped sell that. I really liked the montage feel of this too. I don't think I make sense. I liked your use of blending and dissolves. Gave it more happy friendly feel. I really enjoyed this!

this is so freaking AMAZING!!! I adore this song so much and I'm like the biggest TSwift fan ever so I love that you used this song lol I love Matt/Julie sfm, my FNL otp is tim/lyla but these two are a very close second! Their relationship was ALWAYS so beautiful and pure and it was so realistic!! FNL was such an amazing show, I miss it sfm STILL!!! Anyways, liked & faved! I can't wait to see the other videos you mentioned!!
Thank you SO much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this so much. I just rewatched the show but i still somehow relate to missing it "sfm" haha. It truly was such a spectacular show in all the little details. I saw an old comment of mine on someone else's Matt/Julie vid where i had told them Tim/Lyla was my OTP of the show in the first 2 or 3 seasons and my passion for Matt/Julie as a ship didn't grow until probably seasons (3?) 4 and 5... But now they're my definite OTP and Tim/Lyla and Tyra/Landry are very much in second place. I do love those 3 main ships a lot and some of the underappreciated ships too though so i hope to vid them more now that the show is fresh in my head again!!

I'm actually watching fnl right now lmao I wish it had more seasons but I'm so glad M/J were ENDGAME, especially since tyla wasn't, and they really should've been tbh at least most of the seasons are short and doesn't take long to watch lol

Bro the Matt is diffrent he’s not a football player the next line by her friend is he’s qb1 and I find it hilarious
I did purposefully parallel one of the most football player ish momens I could find right after that line in my video too lol
What episode was them decorating for Christmas I can’t remember exactly? But I LOVE THIS and matt and Julie, might need to rewatch again lol I miss it so much
All the Matt & Julie Christmas scenes are in the very last episode of the entire series, 5x13.
There's also Christmas in the show in a few other episodes but it's more subtle and doesn't involve any ships i don't think

Do you like Matt/ Julie? Did you like this video of mine? I've actually been just this week considering finishing a sad/more breakup themed video about these two using a lot of the scenes they shared that didn't make it into this happy video. I got so far into it in 2021 and I would love to just finally finish that vid of mine.
I see you commented this request on at least 2 of my fanvideos. I've never even heard of the Out Cold movie. So I can't really plan to vid it when I've never seen it. But maybe I'll keep it in mind as a movie to potentially see and when I'm watching it see if I feel inspired in any way too vid it, keeping you and your comments in mind...
