bruh i just put my front foot on the bolts, jump and turn my shoulders. not really an ollie, kinda like a lever if that makes sense. get the front on, apply pressure, level out all at once
I was learning to boardslide on this parking block that I found in a car park, I got very comfortable balancing on it, do you think I should now send it on a proper rail?
Great question! If you were able to hold the balance on the curb it will definitely transfer over to rails as well. Depending on the rail height it might be intimidating but it is the same exact idea!
i just learned boardslides before i even could fs 180 at all. took a couple hours but i got it a couple times and after i got it down i could easily fs 180 lol.
Today my board slipped away to the front right after I Ollied the flatbar and I landed with my back straight on the bar :D. Do I have to lean more forward or what seems to be the problem here?
I’m learning board slides my hardest part is learning how to get off the ledge like not A rail but A flat ledge that my board goes across the whole thing
it was scary as fuck but getting over the fear and just committing took 5 tries before i stood up in the boardslide and another 10-15 tries before i rode out of a boardslide... it didnt look pretty but im going back today to keep practising... trust me guys if youre scared just commit and you will get over the fear.... but if youre still too scared then just give up on skateboarding cos you wont progress if you never push your limits and leave yoour comfort zone
you will have to forgive me i know this video was posted 4 years ago but diving down the rabit whole it is fucking insane to see how many people think this is a backside boardslide
did u think skat was gonna be safe? no its not there are gonna be some pretty bad accidents that will make u wanna quit but wear a helmet need pads wrist guard's if you're that worried and try again.
I literally can’t wait to finally ruin the graphic on the bottom of my board haha
me too! lolol mine is so “new out the box” looking and i start to fee ashamed lolol
me too
I can't cause I have rails
I have a beat up old 8" board for practicing tricks and I have a nicer enjoi 7.5 board that I use for park skating (minus rails)
@@harrassmentpanda6736 ain’t no way you ride a 7.5
I tried boardslides I landed fakie and broke my ankle then when it healed I tried again and hurt my ankle the same way 3rd times the charm
I am so sorry that sounds brutal. Make sure the rail isn’t sticky and I bet you got it this time
Well this comment made me not want to even try 😖🤢
@Pyro9 les hope lmao
I tried so many time is it is a “simple slide “ it is marking me mad
Board slides are fun once you get em down
psa IF YOURE AT A SKATEPARK WAX YOUR BOARD NOT THE OBSTACLE
Facts
Going to my skatepark to try this for the first time. Thanks for the heads up
i wish u the best of luck.
@@Bailinator Thanks man, landed it after two hours under the sun. Not the cleanest, but it felt so good hahah
If you wax the obstacle ask if its ok at first

Hahah same here bro. Sprained my ankle on a tre flip few weeks ago.
Hey, do you have any tips on getting off the rail? I understand that you need to turn your shoulders, but for whatever reason, i can never do it.

I wish I had a flat rail so bad but my park only has a round one fsr

Hahah whatever you can do it on! Keep going
I snowboard and do laps throught the park for 30 hours a week so this should be at least a little easy
Learned this on a parking block in like 20 mins it’s such a fun trick
if you don’t have any wax some dove deodorant works too

amazing vids!
ill try this fs after science wait im on the zoom and she just said we have a quiz uh oh
Update I failed the quiz and now I have a B in science
@@spaceabsorb3516 B in science sounds good
i committed today and leaned to far back and now my tailbone hurts
Is it sad I’ve been skating for like 7 years total and can’t commit to this trick? Idk what’s wrong it’s embarrassing and frustrating.😭
Id say that you try wearing some protecticing gear so you feel safe it will help you to commit
Then quit
@@ethan.2306 bruhhhh 💀💀
Maybe try on a ledge first?
I just full send
What are some good rails to buy?
Element has some good ones but I would check Craig’s list
You deserve more subscribers
Thanks so much!
bring your front foot more down and then ollie
cant get the commitment back after i fell backwards and sacked the rail, i legit am terrified that the board will slip forward again
Take it slow and make sure you commit. It’s more of a mental thing. Once you can comfortably get on the rail just try it with a bit more speed.
only my front foot is going on
I sliped out but got it in a few tries
Congrats!
👍
I fell into my rose bush
🤜🤛
Too bad there’s only round rails at my local
I just can’t get myself to commit to getting both my legs on there
Just try to bring the rail to a fence hold onto the fence while not moving and try
i learnt boardslides yesterday

Idk why front side board slides feels easier for me. Idk. Lemme know if you feel the same ⬇️
Yes this is normal. Everyone is different. Some people prefer front side or backside, or at least find one easier than the other
