Thank you for sharing this interesting piece of information with me! I had no idea that the ferry Mega Regina, formerly known as Mariella, played a role in the rescue of people during the sinking of MS Estonia in 1994. It's amazing to hear about the heroic efforts of maritime professionals during times of crisis and emergency. Ferries and other ships play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of people on the water, and it's truly inspiring to hear stories of their bravery and dedication. Once again, thank you for sharing this fascinating fact with me. It's always a pleasure to learn something new about the maritime industry and the incredible people and vessels that operate within it.
The ports in the Mediterranean Sea, like Nice is very undersized for the ships today. Not much that needs to get wrong for an accident to happen. Nice footage tho of ex Mariella. glad to see her being taken care of.
Thank you for sharing your concerns about the size of ports in the Mediterranean Sea, like Nice. It's true that as ships become larger and more complex, it becomes increasingly important to have properly sized and equipped ports to accommodate them. Operating a large vessel in a small or undersized port can be risky, and any small mistake or issue can quickly escalate into a major accident. Safety should always be the top priority when it comes to maritime operations, and it's important that ports and vessels are properly maintained and equipped to ensure the safety of everyone involved. That being said, it's always great to see well-maintained vessels like the ex Mariella, now known as Mega Regina, being taken care of and put to good use. I'm glad you enjoyed the footage of the ship in Nice port, and thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns with
