    I find this really exciting, I want to upgrade to a new bike sometime over the next year or two and can rysel is a real serious option, and I want to support a brand who is making it more accessible to someone like me.

    Not just Van Rysel, though I give them credit for breaking the WT monopoly. Others from the far east that have a strong reputation there that are making inroads in the UK/EU market will be hot for 24/25 such as Elves & Yoleo.

    I think it's really impressive how quickly they have built the brand and credibility. They have some good high quality kit thats well priced. I'm sure they've put the Willys up the mainstream, brands.

      Their alu endurance 105 with rim brakes is amazing, compact gear ratios. Such a nice ride on hills and flats.
      1100€ for that against an Allez that has Sora on it for about the same price...no wonder they built the brand easily, when they dont overcharge for mid tier bikes like some do for entry level bikes.
      Van Rysel keeping it real even with the shit show that is world economy atm...

    Hope you had a chance to stop by the Bianchi booth, the new Specialissima really knocked my socks off. I know there was some controversy at Roubaix about it but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt when they pinned the problems on faulty assembly.

  • @stroyar91
    @stroyar91 Месяц назад +5

    The road lineup from Van Rysel is great, the RCR with new sram force and zipp 404 will cost you 5000 euros in EU...that is insanely great value for what you get...I mean Aeroad with the same groupset and wheels is 7000 Euros. The only problem with VR is that since the bikes are such a great value, it's impossible to get them...and soon enough they will increase their price significantly because of the high demand. And if they follow the footsteps of other bike brands like Factor, Trek, Basso and so on, and give away their bikes for free to bike influencers on instagrams like PUCK Moonen, and yt bike influencers for "honest" bike reviews, well soon enough we will see VR bikes overpriced like the 90% of road bikes today.

    Beautiful bike… no doubt about that…. But to be honest the average rider don’t need, can’t feel the difference and can’t get the benefit from a PRO rider frame… it’s just another brand that wants us to think that and thus spend way more money on a bike than we actually need…
    90% of all Sunday riders would be perfectly happy with a high quality alloy frame or a mid range carbon frame with 105 Di2… But the bike industry want us to think, that a bike 3 times th price will make us soooo much faster 😑

    Best benefit is that you can change stem length! Right now I have a Canyon Endurace size M and put an 120mm stem on it. Knowing that the new Endurace are even shorter and with a fixed 100 mm stem it’s out of the question to buy a Endurace because I need long reach and high stack. Looked on Ultimate but the design is ugly with the two color split theme.

    I think Van Rysel deserves to do well and are already obtaining good results in racing.. good pricing compared to the competition and look great quality.. well done Decathlon/Van Rysel/Deda go for it 😊🚴🏻🚴🏻👍always worth remembering though it’s 97% the rider and about 3% the bike. I guess one concern could be resale value and depreciation compared to major brands but only time will tell on that one 😉Pete

  • @davidnicholson6680

    I'll take any competition that introduces high quality equipment and drives down prices. It remains to be seen if Van Rysel does either of those things, though. The prices are slightly lower but hardly revolutionary. Also, who knows who's actually making these frames and to what quality.

    • @gafk2975
      @gafk2975 Месяц назад

      It will be hard mostly because they're seen as a budget brand and they're competing against established brands that are known by most cyclists. Nobody will recommend an unknown bike to someone who's serious about cycling against a company that's been in the business of making and going over many iterations of pro bikes for decades no matter what the value is. Then you also have brands that are associated with status. The only fast way to the top would be winning TDF on their bikes.

    why use the word "destroy" in negative way? they might as well save them, or save the industry, if prices of decent bikes were to be reduced to sane levels, more people will buy mid range bikes (105 di2, ultegra di2) , eventually they will earn more money, the sales cycle will increase , new tech will make people want to replace and upgrade every 2 years probably and new tech will trickle down as it used to, basic economy...our hobbies are no fun if we need to break our bank account for a decent modern bike, there is no real excuse for a ultegra di2 specie sl8 to cost more than 8000$, its not a car, it's not a motorcycle, it's only a bicycle.

      RUclips creators typically use as many INFLAMMATORY words in the title as possible to attract more viewers and more clicks. So words like: “DESTROY, ANNIHILATE, KILL, TAKE-DOWN, SHRED, WHIP, PUNISH, RETALIATE”, etc. all seem to do their magic and generate more views, which equals more income for the creators. There’s no other reason other than greed. It’s simply the times that we live in.
