As we continue our Summer series summer across the south. This is our 6th stop (Last) of the trip
Wekiwa Springs State Park.
this unique park just minutes from downtown Orlando is perfect for observing abundant wildlife or cooling off on a summer day.
Miles of trails beg to be explored on foot, bike or horseback, and canoes and kayaks are available on-site. It’s easy to see why visitors have been flocking to beautiful Wekiwa Springs since the mid-19th century.
Wekiwa Springs has a special place in the hearts of those lucky folks who have grown up nearby, spending weekends exploring the spring vent and paddling canoes past the purple blooms of pickerelweed.
The azure waters of Wekiwa Springs have made it Orange County’s longest-running tourist attraction. From the dense, almost tropical hammocks near where the springs feed into the Wekiva River to the scenic sandhill uplands, the park offers ample opportunities to see many kinds of animals.

We were there last month and loved it. Water was cooler than we thought but adjustable
Yes water is cold but since is so hot outside. You’ll get used to it. Thank you for watching guys
It’s crazy I lived in Florida since I was 13 till a year and a half and I’ve never gone to any of the springs thanks for sharing ( Ruth)
Well Ruth ,Now it’s the perfect time you guys have an Rv there’s more 1000 springs in Florida, and a lot of them have campgrounds.
Enjoyed your video. I will be watching it again when my travels bring me back to Florida and I am selecting a site at this campground.

Hope you have a great time. That park was disgusting. Rude. Bike is the best way to get oround cause everything is far. Wild life was excellent you'll see a lot. But the spring part full of garbage. They changed our site with no notice we could not be next to our friends. Had a horrible time there I'm hoping you have a better one than we did
For us The campground was nice but the park was very crowded (spring area).
