Found a cord model next to alley dumpster all rusted up. Your video is the clear ticket to breaking the thing down and getting the blade to slot in place A thousand thanks for your help!!
excellent video, it helped me to fix mine. One note is that when you are reassembling, the main spring's orientation matters. The sleeve that fits onto it will be spun 180 degrees depending on how you put the spring on. If you put it on backwards the mechanism does not work properly. Furthermore, you need to rotate the mechanism slightly clockwise before inserting the pin so that the spring wants to rotate anticlockwise. That way the tool holder springs in the correct direction. Not sure if that makes sense but do not despair if you put it back together and it's not working, just try the other orientation for the spring and/or rotate it in a different direction before inserting the pin.
My jammed blade holder wasn't jammed . It was user error. If you cant rotate the blade holder it's by design. What you need to do is put in a blade and push down and it will unlock itself.
Hi Dean! Do you have instruction how to assemble the razor lock for Makita JR3051T model? It's different from those on video and has less parts. But I can't understand how to assemble, there's no tension on spring. Thanks in advance.
There's no way I could have fixed a mate's saw without this video, cheers, from one Dean to another

For my 3050t spring orientation was pin pointing upwards, also depicted in the Makita drawings, rest the same.

Try switching the orientation of the big bottom spring. It can be put in 2 ways. I have the same saw.
