Coach Saban is the perfect example that every coaching hire in the NFL needs to be a coach that has come up through or has always been in the NFL. Honestly, it not easy for a NFL coach to coach college either. Its two different worlds as far as the work goes.
The work isn’t that different, it’s the culture and mindset that’s so different. You are taking boys and making them into men in college. You are coaching grown ass men in the NFL. Most of the time when coaches don’t work out going back or forth, it’s because they fail to understand the difference in how to reach and relate to boys vs. men.
@@usernamesrlamo i agree with the two types of athletes you are dealing with, the different work I was referring to is the year round recruiting a college coach has to do. Unless the NFL players start picking their teamates like the NBA players do this will always set the two apart.

As a texans fan i loved urban meyers tenure in Jacksonville loll hopefully both of our franchises can turn it around, but we gotta still clean our building out first
Texans fan here too. When the Oilers moved to Tennessee I rooted for the Jags. Mark Brunell, Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell, and others were great to watch. They say it's hard enough to win in the NFL but when you have crappy ownership, management, coaches, and players you'll never succeed. And that would be the Texans and Jags right now.
When they do a "30 For 30" on the Urban Meyer Era in Jacksonville, will they quote Pat McAfee to the effect that the moment where Meyer went too far was when when he kicked the kicker?? When he stayed behind in Ohio after that loss in the 4th game to just golf and party when other NFL head coaches week-in and week-out are working on little sleep to come up with a game plan, that goofing off said it all. You're in season and you're trying to turn around Jacksonville. You don't have time for this goofing off - wait until after the season which, since you're Jacksonville will end after Game 17 since there is no hope of the playoffs. Hard to believe that one Head Coach in such a short time could create so many problems. Don't know how good Trevor Lawrence will be but hopefully he gets better coaching, a better 'O' line, and some receivers to throw to.

Most of the time when coaches don’t work out going back or forth, it’s because they fail to understand the difference in how to reach and relate to boys vs. men.
Saban actually did mediocre with less than Meyer, and was cockblocked from a HoF QB.
@@usernamesrlamo i agree with the two types of athletes you are dealing with, the different work I was referring to is the year round recruiting a college coach has to do. Unless the NFL players start picking their teamates like the NBA players do this will always set the two apart.
@@blank-vj1mc I completely agree, actually its hard to do less than Meyer did, ha. He may go down in history as the worst NFL hire ever. It also makes me wonder how he made it as far as he did to begin with. He must have been good at hiring assistant coaches that kept their mouth shut.
In the NFL talent is pretty even, at least compared to CFB where you can load up on 5 star recruits and say we are faster, bigger and stronger than you, try and stop us.
Pat and squad make everyday better.
The DUMPING rain was fitting for the moment of silence😂
Pat's hilarious 🤣 😆...love this show!
Why am I crying in the club right now
Because the club is in your mind
I love how a nice little Paul v Woodley ad popped up for me right when the moment of silence began 😂😂
lmao love how he uses a southern accent when describing ohio. We literally sound like new englanders
...What the hell are you talking dude?
Ever been to southern Ohio? Especially the parts that border Kentucky and West Virginia?
He played in Indy for a near decade if he was serious I’m sure he could do a proper Ohioan accent.
@@TheAdamisgay yes have relatives their they sound normal
@@Chicagoben lmao we have accents?
That eulogy was crazy good lmfaoooo
Based on the way he was acting I think Urban wanted to be fired.
That last Urban Meyer video with him at the bar was the BEST Pat Mcafee take of ALL TIME.
The Jags a young team with talent that would be fun to coach imo...
Yeah man. Nice area, nice weather, the owner really wants to win, great draft position for next April, good young players and a WHOPPING $75 million in cap space next year. It’s literally a dream opportunity for an HC.
Their roster is really not that bad. Maybe not winning record material yet but it's a roster that should not be getting as swamped as they have been this year.
Who’s the talent?
They’re mostly just guys🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ no one is playing above average.
@@marqicewalker1766 there's plenty. Off the top of my head, DJ Chark, Marvin Jones, Laviska Shenault, James Robinson, Josh Allen, Myles Jack, Shaquill Griffin. Prolly not all pro bowlers but It's a real solid core of players that should at least be keeping games close. It's hard not to blame the coaching staff.
@@bigfat4172 James Robinson- absolutely
Shaq - He’s ok
Josh Allen- fine he isn’t elite but he isn’t just a guy. He’ll probably turn the corner.
laviska -can’t catch and he isn’t fast. He can’t even run his routes right🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ How are we calling that talent?
DJ- can’t stay healthy and at best is a #2
Marvin jones has no business being a 1 or a 2
Myles jack is overrated because you’re a fan. He was a big part of being a terrible run defense. He doesn’t force turnovers he doesn’t get sacks or interceptions🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️. He’s just a guy, literally getting similar production out of Damien Wilson (who’s just a guy).
This list isn’t getting any candidate excited.
Ad timing was perfect. Two unskippable ads for the moment of silence lmao
He'll get rewarded by getting a 150 million contract to coach in college again much like how douche NFL players who get let go end up on a good team and get a ring
Casein point: AB
Pat McAfee totally nailed that bit! He's the best!
Just like Nick Saban, When paying players is expected and not an incentive. the NFL is NOT for them. I bet Rickey Williams would agree that Nick Saban is not a good NFL HC.
Saban didn’t really fail the NFL. He wanted Brees, the GM didn’t he went screw this I want the choices and went back to the NFL where he has more control. He had a winning season in his first year and did a good job with what he had…
@@SaintTerrence Winning Percentage .469 in a 2 Season Career = Failure?
@Jason Johnson He didn’t really do anything. He realized he was not cut out for the NFL and went back to college. Doesn’t mean he failed he just realized he was better for college.
Perfect memory of urban myer is his last handshake/snub was with grabil with Tennessee
It’s impressive at how bad of a job he really did. But, college football is all about “W”s so he’ll get another job not too long from now.
If Meyer was 11-2 instead of 2-11 ..no way he gets fired..W's in the NFL matter a whole lot too.
He'll sit out a year then basically pick whatever university he wants..it's going to be embarrassing to see a University fall for it again.
Why does everyone forget about the fact when they mention college coaches coming to the NFL is Ron Rivera
🤣🤣🤣 the moment of silence killed me. It went from moment of silence to a prayer 🙏🏽💀
Did anyone else hear a fart at 8:12?
I love the whispering and aj laughing hahaha
It's better to kick a kicker than to punt a punter.
Meyer: “awww yeaaah..I’ll give er all I got” 😂👏🏽
“Let’s go back in” 💀 💀
I wish my employer would guarantee four years of my salary and then fire me a week before Christmas. seems like a good sitch.
Pretty sure they had cause to fire him and he gets coal for Christmas.
Hawk lookin a little toasty today😂😂
