You can definitely mount hyrax or any other proline tires on those wheels. It's a pain but it can be done. The grabbers are not a "rock" tire. They are a really, really good copy of the actual full size grabbers. They are a mud tire. I've found that they perform very, very well in stock form but only after being worn in a bit. I have also cut a couple of sets and they perform really well out of the gate but found that my worn stock tires out perform my worn cut tires. But I've also learned that if I'm building or wanting a rock oriented truck, I'll op for proline crawlers or super swampers and be done with it lol. I prefer a scale tire just because it's fun. 😂.
Thanks, I been running these on my Gatekeeper for about 2 weeks. Seriously thinking about trimming like you have done. I just wish they would hook on the edge of a rock and pull. They can be just over the edge and spin rather than bite. I have 2 stage foams that was a huge improvement. But I would like a bit more from these tires. I am waiting for Duratrax Deep woods 1.9 to come back in stock. But I think opening the lug spacing is the trick to put these on par. They actually do a super job and are soft enough and seem to be wearing just fine. They just need a little extra.
I was just setting here doing the same thing to the Nitto Trail Grapplers that came stock on my rtr Deadbolt. I figured since they're glued might as hack on them. Lol I've got the same General Grabbers and wheels that came stock on the Ecto.

Please let me know how it works out!

Wow thanks. Footage of using them?
