For anyone wondering, connecting to Wifi using NFC will not work on iPhones without the app installed. More recent Android phones will be able to utilise this. IOS does not have an option to read Wifi data through its native NFC scanner, so you will have to either connect manually, or use a QR code for wifi on iPhones, which does work. Until Apple releases an update to include processing Wifi data using NFC, this is the best we can do. Do not harass this poor developer. He has no control over it.
@@iP4Broadcasting its a dead loop, how can I download the app from the app store if I need to connect to the wifi first. QR code is the way to go here.
Yes unfortunately iPhones only read message types like https without an app. A Wi-Fi and a vCard for example always need an app. On Android these work without an app as well. I’d recommend going for a Wi-Fi QR code because these can be read by iOS and Android with the on board camera app.

Thank you so much, now I realized that... I played this video because I saw an iPhone in thumbnail lol
Well the wifi tag is working only with the app installed, not with the native iPhone nfc scanner

@@Eian00 iPhone XS and later can scan url tags without an app
And don’t forget android phones. They can read Wi-Fi tags without an app.
@@iP4Broadcasting sure, but I need wifi first to open the URL

save us some time and state in video that it does not work unless your guest has the app installed.
This is great. Thank you for these tutorials. Just in time when I need to write some tags.
I`m lookinfg an old iphone runing android?
Doesn’t work. After you encode the nfc tag apple will not run it.
iPhones cant read the Wifi credentials from an NFC tag, even the latest ones likes of iPhone 14. Bummer.

Really cool. Is it possible that NFC could be used to pass plain text from one iPhone to another?
Unfortunately not, just via NFC tags.
can it not read without using app?
No, iOS can not. Android can though. On iOS you can use the QR code. The camera app recognizes them.
